An old hotel at an affordable price. Dated interiors, but still quite decent-looking. My room had a small fridge. Water heater was a bit inadequate, didn't heat well.
Location is not too far from the Mae Sai bus station, about 15-20 minutes of fast walk, but getting downtown requires a Grab. Now the main cons:
1) The WiFi system is very dated, 1990s style, paper password slips, doesn't inspire confidence.
2) However my main gripe with the hotel is the lack of the water boiling facility, to make a hot beverage. The room has no kettle. There were water boilers or coffee machines available anywhere on the floor or at the lobby. The nearest hot beverage is basically premix instant coffee tea at the 7-Eleven, 10 minute walk.
3) Also, may be annoying to some, there's a karaoke bar or a club nearby, but they went quiet at around 11pm.
For breakfast, lunch, can recommend a nearby Maletcha Cafe & Eatery at the Camelia Seed Oil Research and Development Center (one of the pictures), it's an interesting place to visit in its own right - they sell some organic foods and cosmetics made from local plants.
