The Four Seasons Resort is as good as ever and I am very satisfied. Rustom at the front desk is kind, enthusiastic and understanding, and Angela, Sharon and Tracy at the lakeside restaurant are affable and smart. When I went to have lunch, the restaurant was empty. Angela and Sharon told me seriously that they were sorry, but the restaurant was closed and would reopen next year. I was a little confused. It didn’t look like it. The front desk told me that there was lunch, and the Buggy driver When they took me to the restaurant, they didn't say it was closed. The two beauties continued to fool me and said, "They don't know very well." When I was doubtful, they finally laughed and said, "we're just kidding you," and then took a seat and ordered. The meal was very delicious. It should be the most satisfying dish I have eaten in the Seychelles. It was a very interesting and great experience. When I checked out, I saw that the lunch was not charged, so I specifically reminded Rustom, and he told me it was free. It was a very interesting experience. The design of the villa is beyond words, it reflects the standard of Four Seasons. Although it is not cheap, it is worth the money.

Hill top villa, the scenery is great, especially the sunset, although it was cloudy when I stayed, and it was raining, but it was not too affected, the staff are super great and helpfull, perfect stay.

Where do I start… The Seychelles is one of the most beautiful places to visit with its beautiful waters from the Indian Ocean and its beaches. The Four Seasons has one of the best locations on the Island without question. I've visited several Four Seasons Resorts now over the past few years, and this one did not disappoint. The brand has mastered the art of providing a wonderful guest experience. The Staff here are truly amazing, I can't tell you just how nice and friendly they are. Management are clearly driven by making your stay into something to remember. A true test of this is if you do have a problem, they move heaven and earth to deal with it. The restaurants are excellent. Steak Shak is certainly worth a visit and the Indian food they have introduced at one of the bars is very good, but for me, the best night was Creole night. The food, drink and traditional dancers made the evening something special. Buggy’s take you around the resort and there are always plenty at hand, so almost no waiting. The Beach put simply is Heaven. White soft sand, and crystal clear water combined with a clear blue sky make you feel you couldn’t be anywhere better in the world to relax. The Staff are the star of the show. They are so friendly and helpful. You feel relaxed and comfortable. There is nothing I can add that’s a negative, my only advice is to be mindful that there are a few villas (only a few) with a large number of stairs to the room. I would avoid these if you have a health condition that limits your mobility. You may also want a pool that’s exposed to the sun, as they are not heated. If they are covered in the shade the water temperature can be a little cool. However, my experience is if you contact the resort beforehand, they will do everything they can to accommodate you.
Response from Property: We appreciate you taking the time to share this feedback, it was a great pleasure to read your review, and on behalf of the team, I thank you for your kind words. We are truly blessed to be in such a beautiful area with lush vegetation and a spacious white sand beach. Thank you for choosing to stay with us! It is great to hear that our team ensured you were looked after, and I am thrilled you enjoyed our restaurants! We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Best wishes, Nitin Abbi, General Manager

I travel extensively since almost 30 years, and seldomly come back to the same hotel twice. This is one of the rare exception to that, because I’ve really enjoyed 4S Seychelles the first time I visited it in 2015. This time, although the stay is still quite nice, there is something missing … For my second stay at 4S Seychelles, I choose a hilltop ocean view villa and the view over the bay Petite Anse is really stunning. The villa is well equipped, well maintained, I do not see that it’s getting older after 10 years. The 3 restaurants are quite OK, serving good food. Breakfast is great, even better than 10 years before, as far as I can remember. Spa is also fine. There is some complacency in the aquatic activities. When I was there, the 2 pedal boats were both broken and there are no snorkeling masks with corrected lens (when I was at 4S Landaa Giraavaru, they do have them, so it misled me in thinking it is the case also at 4S Seychelles). Beach service is still also not so present (same as the last time). But what is really missing to me is this so particular feeling that last time 4S Seychelles succeeded to convey in making me feel at home and cared for. This time the staff is still nice but definitely more impersonal. I felt like I am a mundane guest at a Hyatt or Marriott, not a 4S guest. May be because 4S Seychelles has grown too big, too “industrial” and has lost its soul ? One more thing, I do miss my “old friend”, a cute katiti which used to visit the spa terrace :-(
Response from Property: Thank you for taking the time to write us your review and we very much appreciate your feedback as this helps us improve. I am so glad to hear you enjoyed your villa and you had time to experience many things we offer. We hope to see you again soon and wish you the best, Best regards, Renan Astolpho General Manager

I don’t know where to start… The staff can’t do enough for you. All of them are polite and helpful and just happy to be at work. Not a bad meal in the resort all food was 10/10. All the staff express their love for the island. 🏝️ I also love the fact 4 seasons employ over 50% of staff locally this is very impressive as a lot of chains don’t do this. I also would like to thank a couple of members of staff directly as they stood out so much Valerie - on the beach, she would lay our towels everyone she saw us, always offer to clean our sunglasses, always check if we’re happy and having a nice day, she even made a reservation for us at steak shack and that isn’t even her job! Thank you Valerie ❤️ Francis - works at Zez bar he’s a mixologist. He is genuinely one of the funniest guys I’ve ever met. He’s a book of knowledge on cocktails 🍹 Damien - Kannel Bar - so friendly and makes the best Limoncello we’ve ever had! bellissimo!! 🍋 Angela - Kannel Bar - do you know someone that just has that good energy and they give offamazing vibes. That’s Angela. She remembers every detail and is always so happy to see you. Also recommends the best Creole food 🥘 Dr Anoop - at the spa - he’s another book of knowledge and read me as soon as he met me! We had a free chat with him and he spent a whole hour and fifty minutes with me and my partner discussing the Ayurvendic way. So much so we’re thinking of booking a trip to four seasons Maldives to get Ayurvendic treatments 🙏 Chanaka - I think he normally works in Kannel bar but the one night he was working on the pool bar and it was heavy down pour of rain. He was so lovely to chat too, brought us food and drinks and was discussing lots of topics. He’s awesome! Thank you again to the whole resort and each member of staff for kicking our 2025 off perfectly. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We celebrated our anniversary here and fell in love with the four seasons. The place is simply stunning. It has a beautiful private beach, rooms with an infinity pool, and a wide variety of restaurants to choose from. The main pro of the Four Seasons Seychelles is their team. The concierge team was extremely nice to us as the airline lost our luggage and they stepped in to help us recover the bags! Thank you, team :) We went on half-board and would recommend for the wide choice of dinner options.

From the moment our buggy wound its way up the lush hillside to our Ocean View Villa, it became clear that Four Seasons Seychelles would redefine luxury hospitality. Perched dramatically above Petite Anse bay on Mahé island, this resort masterfully blends Creole architecture with modern sophistication. The Villa Our Hilltop Ocean View Villa proved to be a private sanctuary in the sky. The sprawling 184-square-meter space featured vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows that framed the Indian Ocean's infinite blue expanse. The real showstopper was our infinity pool, seeming to merge with the ocean horizon. Mornings began with coffee on our wooden deck, watching fruit bats glide between takamaka trees while tropical birds provided nature's soundtrack. Views That Take Your Breath Away The elevation of our villa offered unparalleled views of the horseshoe bay below. Each sunset painted the sky in spectacular hues of orange and pink, reflected in both our private pool and the crystal-clear waters of the Indian Ocean. The strategic positioning of the resort ensures that every glance outward delivers a photo-worthy moment. Beach Paradise The descent to Petite Anse beach – while steep – rewards visitors with one of the most pristine stretches of sand in the Seychelles. The powdery white beach is embraced by granite boulders on either side, creating a secluded cove. The waters are calm and ideal for swimming and snorkeling, with the resort providing complimentary equipment to explore the vibrant marine life. Impeccable Service The staff epitomised Four Seasons' legendary service culture with their intuitive attention to detail. Our villa attendant anticipated needs before we even realized them, while the beach team was always ready with fresh towels and cold water. The concierge crafted perfect excursions, from hiking through Morne Seychellois National Park to arranging sunset cruises. The Spa Experience Set high in the hillside, the spa deserves special mention. My treatment room opened to a private deck overlooking the ocean, where the sound of waves complemented my massage. The therapist's expertise with local techniques and ingredients – particularly the coconut oil-based treatments – created a deeply relaxing experience that left me floating back to our villa. Dining The resort's restaurants deliver exceptional culinary experiences. Kannel's seafood specialties and Creole-inspired dishes particularly impressed, while ZEZ's breakfast spread, enjoyed with panoramic ocean views, became a daily highlight. The in-villa dining service made several moonlit dinners on our terrace unforgettable. Final Verdict Four Seasons Seychelles successfully creates an experience that feels both luxurious and authentic to its location. While the room rates reflect the ultra-luxury positioning, the combination of stunning natural beauty, world-class service, and exceptional facilities justifies the investment for those seeking an extraordinary tropical escape. Located on a hilly bay about 40 minutes from the airport this hotel comprises a number of sizeable villas situated up the hills from the beautiful white sand/blue water beach. Buggies enable you to move easily around the resort but we were delighted to be allocated an Ocean facing Villa just back from the beach, and very easy walking distance to the restaurants and beach. For us that made the holiday so much more enjoyable- the view may not be as good as from the top of the hill, but we did not have to rely on buggy service to get anywhere. The food in the restaurants was excellent (we chose to avoid the differently themed buffets and so moved between restaurants each night for a la carte) and the staff were all friendly but professional. The Villa was large and nicely appointed in a colonial? style and was spotlessly clean. The private pool and spacious lounging areas meant for a really relaxing holiday. You pay for the privilege, but in life quality is never cheap……and the Four Seasons is first class.

The Seychelles are famous for their stunning beaches, legally open to everyone. This hotel seems to comply with that law – at least on the surface. Yes, day visitors are allowed to access the beach, but what follows makes it clear you’re not welcome. It starts with the yellow wristband, handed to day visitors to visibly mark them as “outsiders.” This accessory is less about practicality and more a clear signal: “You don’t belong here.” The security staff ensures that this message is enforced. Day visitors are restricted to the front section of the beach, and anyone who dares wander closer to the hotel is politely but firmly sent back. This isn’t a one-time occurrence – the security staff monitors and repeatedly reminds day visitors to stay in their assigned area. This treatment makes you feel like a second-class citizen. While hotel guests enjoy unrestricted access to all areas, day visitors are made to feel like they’re only tolerated. Hospitality? Nowhere to be found. Time for a Change – and Government Oversight Before the pandemic, this hotel proved that openness and hospitality could work. Day visitors were never a problem, brought additional revenue, and contributed to a lively and welcoming atmosphere. Today, however, the treatment of day visitors feels like deliberate exclusion. The government of the Seychelles should take note of this behavior. Practices like these contradict the principles of a country renowned for its open and welcoming beaches. In the long run, this approach will harm not only the hotel’s reputation but also the image of the Seychelles as a friendly travel destination. A Tip for Travelers If you’re looking for a hotel that doesn’t treat you like a second-class citizen, there are plenty of better options on the Seychelles. Choose a hotel that values real hospitality and doesn’t try to privatize public beaches. Final Thoughts: A public beach should be a place of freedom and openness. When a hotel doesn’t respect these values, it’s time for them to rethink their policies – and for the government to take a closer look. Beaches are for everyone, and hospitality should never be an exclusive luxury.

We visited Four Season beach as an outsiders, they have option to let outsiders to go and visit their beach only (no other facilities allowed to use) which I believe a governmental decision but this point is a regardless matter at this case. You who is reading this review and planning to visit the FS beach be ready for a 10 - 15min walk (depends of your physical condition) across from hills up and down. I can assure you it will be not an easy walk especially under good weather condition… 🥵🥵 My advise to take with you a bottle of water at least. Unfortunately this worwide famous luxury property management has forbid their staff to pick up anybody who is outsiders with the buggy which is the most pitty decesion. I totally understand the point that they don’t want to set up an additional service for outsiders who most probably won’t spend any money at the place but when the buggy is going fully empty and crossing the same direction where is the beach or the main gate this decision I can’t accept I feel this is a tottaly shame business philosophy….. as per staff this is a hotel policy they can carry /offer buggy service to anybody who is not staying at the property. 🤨😞

If it was possible to rate this property higher than 5 stars, I would not hesitate for a moment! Thats sums up our experience. My wife & I visited this wonderful property in December first week for 3 nights. This is a majestic property, on an unbeatable location, on a most pristine & beautiful Petite Anse beach, with secluded & perched atop hilltop villas. Excellent staff & top notch management adds to the pleasure of being here. We were here in so called 'rainy season' and let me tell You, we loved every moment of it. The sea breeze was amazing, we had lot of Sun & good amount of rain. It was just perfect. I would also like to thank the team @ the resort for an upgrade to the Ocean View Villa. It made an exceptional experience even better! I am not one of those guests who get agitated if the GM doesnt come & meet them. I value my privacy much more. However, it was good to see the GM Nitin Abbi welcome us on our arrival here. Nitin runs a very efficient ship here. It was an equal pleasure to interact with Mohan Kumar (food & beverage), Chef Sumit (Thanks for that excellent Indian Dal You conjured for us on our 2nd night). Chef Divakar for finally cracking the code on that fantastic masala omelette on our last day & making those sausages edible for me! A shout out to Edwin @ the beach for those witty comments & making the experience enjoyable. The guests @ this property are mostly from Europe & other western countries. Therefore, the cuisine appeals more to that palate, and its understandable. The team seems to be making an effort to expand the range of the offering & I am sure they will. I am not going into the details of the pool villa. It was outstanding, and typical Four Seasons experience & quality. No one does it better! In conclusion I would like to say again that its the outstanding location, beach, expance & placement of villas & amazing sea breeze that make this property stand out in a league of its own. This would be IMHO one of the most premium properties in the world (of this kind), not only Seychelles. Petite Anse beach in my book ranks very high & I have seen quite a few. As a note I would suggest that its better if some staff member is there to see off the guests when they depart. The front desk guy doubling up to wave good bye is not a pretty sight @ a Four Seasons property. While there is much to see in this world & time is limited, still, this is one property I would like to revisit. Let me conclude on that note.
