It was my first experience in Mahajanga, Madagascar but especially my 7 days stay at Baobab Tree . I was mesmerized by the hospitality , kindness of the entire staff, including the management team. The rooms were big enough to accommodate any traveler, the food was delicious , fruits were always fresh.

4-star hotel, well located not far from the promenade. The hotel has 2 swimming pools; one interior with overflow and one exterior. You can pay to come and spend a day at the pool without staying at the hotel. The hotel is very well maintained, green spaces are present all around the swimming pool. The restaurant has a simple menu but with very good products and good value for money. The treatments offered at the SPA are very good, the staff is professional and the space is very clean. The only downside is the atmosphere around the swimming pool. In fact, very loud music is present all afternoon and the children are left unsupervised by their parents so the swimming pool is not supervised. If you want to spend a relaxing, quiet day, this is not possible and it's a real shame because it goes against the prestige of the 4 stars.

I went to the Baobab Tree Hotel for lunch because I had eaten there the day before when I arrived and I wanted to try the experience again. I showed up at the entrance, I wasn't able to get inside. There were workers spraying paint on chairs on the sidewalk. The air was unbreathable and the fumes caused persistent coughing. The next day, I went once again to the Baobab Tree Hotel; thinking that this was no longer the case and that I could finally have lunch at a restaurant. Unfortunately, repeat. I don't understand how a hotel of this standing can give such a careless image without caring about the health of its customers. Just for that, I won't go back a third time.

The hotel being full at the time of our stay in Majunga, we were not able to visit the rooms. On the other hand, we frequented the hotel restaurant with assiduity. The cuisine is truly remarkable and the prices are completely reasonable for a hotel of this standard. Magnificent view of the ocean. Superb indoor and outdoor swimming pools. The spa is also splendid and the massages are a real treat. During our visit the President of Madagascar was staying there. That says it all...

Fabulous experience in this hotel which offers the best services in Majunga and even in the whole country. Hotel worthy of its 4* standard. Very welcoming staff, impeccable rooms, impeccable cleaning. Excellent catering and great breakfast. The swimming pools are the highlight and the must is the view.
