Elaf Al Mashaer Hotel Makkah

Very good location like 5 minutes walk from Haram and just behind clock tower building and my room was partial Haram View so I could see people going and coming from entrance of Haram. Many food outlets and grocery shops were just next to hotel.Only issue was horn sounds from busses and cars as it’s just opposite bus and taxi station.Room size and facilities were good but only bathroom needs some renovation as it doesn’t smell good.Staff was very friendly.

Elaf Kinda Hotel

Very near Haram and all amenities. Rooms are cleaned regularly or on demand. Restaurant services good but with some limited choice. Only problem were the size of rooms. Although we knew it will be smaller but did not expect that smaller. There were no table to keep at least 1 luggage and I had to crawl to my bed as only one side was open. On request, they changed the room to a slightly bigger room. For the price I might use it again.
Makarem Umm Al Qura Hotel

Hotel states it is 5*. It isn’t. Room very basic but clean. Bathroom again very basic, very dated and old, not as clean as the room. Lobby area was nice. Many lifts, therefore don’t have to wait long. It is cheaper hotel and only one we were able to find during Ramadan which is why we stayed here. However, it is quite far. Not ideal if you would like to spend most time in haram. Website states they provide a shuttle service, however it is a shared shuttle service which I believe is provided by Hajj ministry? Therefore, it is not just the hotels. You have to queue after prayer times and there is A LOT of people trying to get on the bus. At busy times such as jummah, the busses stop running. Our room card stopped working every single day and we had to get reception to re issue it. Overall, the hotel was ok. Would I stay again? No. I wouldn’t recommend either.

Everything was perfect. Staff are beyond friendly, especially Hala and Abdulrahim, they took care of us during breakfast time. They also upgraded our room to suite as we arrived late. Definitely not our last time here!
