RC Hotel Melaka

We checked in on 30/03 around 3pm, but the rooms weren't ready, one of the room we booked was triple but they informed that due to holidays and full so changed us to a double single room by adding a bed, without any other compensate from this mistake! However, we've accepted that, but when we enter the room, found that those disposables which should be provided were used by the last guests, which means that they didn't even clean the rooms systematically. Well, we then asked from the cleaners to replace them. We checked out the next day around 11am, but noticed that we've left our souvenir (chocolates) which just bought in the morning, we quickly make a call to counter and ask to recheck if anything is left to collect from them (they hold us to ask cleaners to check our rooms during check out), and they said will recheck and the same time we are returning back to hotel to collect. But when we arrived and look for counter, they said cleaner did not report and item left and said may accompany us to recheck the room. So we rechecked the room and it really not in there, but what is really annoying and made us angry on them is that we saw our souvenirs were opened and left on the cleaners trolley in their internal room while we pass by!!! The accompanist gets in the room to take the souvenirs back to us, and the chocolate were been opened and eaten! This shows that their management is really poor, and hope I've fully clarify that the reasons we will not come back to this hotel anymore!

Good Service and place

This is first time staying in RC Hotel. Their location is fantastic, easy for us visiting a lot of nice places. Definitely will come back here again in future

We booked a huge room with a balcony overseeing the river of jonker street river. Very comfortable and relax feeling. The rooms has a small living with dining chairs and table. Pretty huge and cozy

If i can give ZERO star i would! This hotel claimed they are 3 stars?! The whole building is dirty and old, we believe in preserved heritage but peeled off wallpaper and mold is not part of heritage. Booked a room with balcony, which barely can fit 2 person standing back to back let alone a chair and a coffee table. The cabinets and TV controller are dusty, the carpet was never vaccuumed! We booked 3 nights, since our first night we saw some dirt below the table and it stays there even they did our room for 2 days (the dirt is part of Melaka heritage?!!) On our last night we came back late (10.30pm) and our room card is disabled, nobody at the receptionist counter, half of the lobby is dark, they switched off the lights. Lucky us, there was a nice cleaner uncle helped us with their master card keys to open our room, else where would we spent our night? And, one more epic mentioned: the ‘so-called’ Buffer Breakfast which we opt to have, was 4 pkt of nasi lemak, some baked beans and sardines!!!! I will cook sardines at home for my emergency dinner, not holiday breakfast in 3 star hotel!!!!!! Seriously, the management got to read this and redo their hotel, if you decided not to do anything about it, just claim yourself as a hostel or homestay. You guys ruined our mood. Dirty hotel room is nightmare! Come back?! Thanks but no thanks!!
