Boutique Beach All Inclusive Diving Hotel

We had the most amazing week’s stay at Boutique Beach and would thoroughly recommend it as a dive hotel. The rooms are comfortable with huge beds and amazing outdoor bathrooms. The food is varied and always excellent. Diving is relaxed but safety-focussed and the whole team, whether behind the scenes or customer-facing, works really hard to provide a top-notch guest experience. So glad we chose to stay on a local island rather than a resort island. Well done to Romney for having the vision and making it a reality.

We spent 9 wonderful nights at Boutique Beach hotel. The hotel is small (6 main luxury rooms + extension of 3 more room): everything is made to make you feel well, with a friendly and family atmosphere.  Rooms are confortable,  the food is excellent, diner is served on the roof top. Special thanks for the 2 amazing diners for our group on the beach. The beach is just in front of the hotel. You can also walk on the beach all the way to the long sand bank at the north of the island. Sunset there is a dream. This is above all an hotel for diving. Dive sites are marvellous around the island. Day trips include 2 or 3 dives with sometimes breakfirst or lunch on the boat. The crew takes care of everything for you. We dived in various places/countries before and could tell how professionnal the dive center is, with strong security focus and a friendly atmosphere. They so not hesitate to navigate to the nicest sites within south ari atoll.  We saw mantas, whale sharks, turtles, sharks... and much more.

They win many awards and we can see why. Had 6 days of amazing diving with whale sharks, mantas, reef sharks, turtles and so many other varieties of marine life. The boat is nice and big with plenty of space, onboard toilet, and full meals served on board to maximize diving time if the plan called for it. Did my Nitrox certification and it was so smooth and professional. Mette made a daily video and uploads it to youtube from all of the SD cards from each of the guests each day. A lot of work! A presentation of the whale sharks and mantas as well as full explanation of each dive site given the night before. The area is incredible diving with tons of varieties of marine life. Each site really was quite different and there are so many sites to choose from. Food was surprisingly awesome. Home cooked feeling yet great variety, substantial and hearty as well as creative. Room is comfortable, beds are great, well maintained with good AC (a must) and fast wifi. Chargers given for charging our cameras each night. We came for the diving but we would come back for the people. Everyone felt so genuine and it was the team that made it special. Really a “home grown community feeling” with all the luxuries you need and none that you don’t. Much more reasonable experienced compared to the stereotypical all inclusive. My hats off to Seb, Dylan, Cam, Lucinda, Mette, Romney, Chef Shanti, Saeed, Afzal, Ibrahim, Shahid, Shohag and anyone else I missed. And we made so many friends with great guests we met too diving each day. Thanks for making it our best diving experience yet!

We just left Boutique Beach today, and are already missing it so much!! This is the type of place you simultaneously want to tell everyone about because it’s so great, but you also want to keep secret so it’s stays magical forever. We want to give a big congratulations to everyone on the BB team—you guys have created something special here for sure. We spent 6 nights here, and could have stayed much longer. We did between 2-3 dives per day, and each was fab. We got to dive with each of the dive masters except for Lucinda (next time!!) and they are all absolute GEMS. Thank you to Seb, Dylan and Cam for such a fun time!! Seb manages the diving shenanigans flawlessly, and clearly pays close attention to everything going on for the divers—we commented multiple times how things just seem to *happen* so smoothly, almost magically, and that is clearly reflective of great management. The boat crew could not be better, and the dive boat itself is the best we’ve experienced—well designed, with plenty of space, shower, toilet, and always tea and coffee on hand. We could dive here for years and not get tired of it! The hotel is super comfortable, everything you need, and rooms kept is great condition. This hotel is clearly set up perfectly for divers—co-owner Romney (who set up BB with boat captain Ibrahim) knows what divers want and has delivered 10 fold!! Mette keeps things running flawlessly in the hotel and Afzal coordinates all the bookings seamlessly. We loved meeting for dive briefing and daily dive video every night. The FOOD was everything we could have hoped for and we were so impressed every day. Saeed took such great care of us every day, ans Chef Shanti kept the great food coming! We particularly appreciated the very romantic beach dinner for us on our last night, thank you!! What really sets this place however is the genuineness that seeps through into everything—I think every hotel/resort/dive center wants to create this feeling, but only a very few succeed, and BB is one. You leave feeling like you’ve found a new home, and that’s very very special. We call these places our “sticky places,” as you just can’t help coming back. We truly hope to make it back one day in the not too distant future!! Thank you guys!!!

The staff at this all inclusive boutique hotel were very friendly, helpful, fun, energetic. The hotel was clean, in a great location, with a beautiful beach just a 30 second walk away and the meals were tasty. YUMS! I had a wonderful time on land and in the water. The dive team were professional and fun. I got my Padi Enriched Air Diver and Advanced Open Water certification with them. The service was above and beyond. I will be back.

The diving at this location is truly some of the best in the world, whether you love macro or mantas, sharks and dolphins. The diving, along with whale shark encounters, provides ample reason to come to this area of the Maldives. This is the reason we selected this island and I’m so glad we opted to stay at Boutique Beach. The dive masters and boat staff of Boutique Beach work incredibly hard with endless enthusiasm, personal attention to all guests, and ready smiles to make all of your diving dreams come true. I can’t recommend them enough as they were safe, fun and a joy to dive with. After diving, each day we enjoyed the comfortable beds, good showers and the hospitality of the team in this lovely hotel. The meals were delicious and plentiful, with both vegetarian and meat eating guests saying this was some of the best food ever to the extent we wanted their wonderful chefs to come home with us. Everything is thoughtfully organized, and well designed and the video recap each night of the day’s snorkeling and diving footage posted on YouTube is yet another example of the effort this team exerts to make guests happy. Thanks to the entire team, I would 100 percent recommend choosing this as your next dive or snorkel destination. The sunsets from the beach are also incredibly beautiful. We certainly intend to return!!

From the time we arrived, to the very minute we left the island, we were met with warm greetings at the beginning of our adventure, and a heartfelt sendoff when it was time to go. The staff was so very friendly, it felt like being with family. We were met by Afzal, the hotel manager, along with a couple other smiling faces of the staff. After a short briefing of the hotel and diving formalities, we were taken to our room and was met with a wonderful surprise. The trip was to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary, which we happened to mention to the PADI Travel representative, and the room was decorated with beautiful flowers! What a charming gesture! The room was spacious and very clean. Thanks James! The hotel provided tote bags, beach towels and robes! The open-air bathroom was delightful. Before dinner, we met the other guests staying at the hotel and we enjoyed watching a video of the day’s diving experience. What a great idea! At the end of the day, the hotel staff, in collaboration with some of the guest’s videos, put together a montage of what they saw on the dive. The video is then uploaded to their YouTube channel for you to always enjoy and share with family and friends. Seb, the dive base leader, then gave us a briefing of the following day’s dive and time of departure. The dinner was under the stars on the hotel rooftop. It was beautifully set with lanterns and flowers. The meal, prepared by Chef Shanthi was superb! The next evening was a surprise dinner on the beach. It was breathtaking, and once again, Chef Shanthi provided another scrumptious meal. However, the biggest surprise was the private dinner for just the two of us. A table was setup on the beach surrounded by candles in the sand and lights in the trees. It was beautiful. Enjoying the sound of the surf, we were served a special meal for our anniversary by candle light. Our hearts were touched. Each day brought new sights and experiences, all under the professional care of our diving guide, Cam. She was great! Our main goal was to see a whale shark, and we did! We also experienced diving with manta rays, sharks, turtles, puffers… the list goes on! Congratulations to the owner and proprietor, Romney, who provided a fantastic and memorable vacation. She pulled together a great team and staff who thought of everything. We hope that we will be able to return some day, and once again enjoy the fabulous hospitality of Boutique Beach and the beautiful Maldives. ~ Jean & Dave

What can I say? This was the a 10 star experience from start to finish. Our initial booking enquiry was answered promptly as well as all subsequent questions. We were greeted at Male International Airport and looked after until our short domestic flight to the Island which had been arranged by the hotel. A warm welcome by staff from the hotel on arrival set the scene for the rest of the week. All the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Our room was large with a big comfy bed, plenty of storage, air conditioning, a balcony and an open air bathroom. Beach towels were provided as well as a beach bag. The food was amazing, the dining area was on the roof under the stars, and on one occasion on the beach which was just over the road. Our dive gear was taken to the boat for us at the start of our stay and set up for us every day by the wonderful dive team. Diving started early each day, and with only around 12 guests the diving groups were small and personalised. The diving was in the Marine Park off the island and simply amazing. We made 12 dives in 5 days - whale sharks, manta, sharks, rays, dolphin, tuna, shoals and shoals of fish, lots of macro life and beautiful underwater topography made this a memorable stay. We have been diving in many places around the world for over 30 years and if we go back to the Maldives to dive again in the future we will be booking the Boutique Beach hotel again - why go anywhere else?
