Beautiful old hotel in heart of Malmö
A lovely hotel just a short walk across a canal from Malmö Central Station. Check-in service was through an adjacent pub and there was no front desk. Breakfast buffet was quite good. In many respects the hotel is a gem, in a gem of a city.

Center location. Great value.
Great hotel in the center of Malmö. The room was spacious and comfortable yet, a little dated. No AC, so during summer gets a little too hot and they just provide a little fan. Breakfast was simple, but good.
Note: Check in is at a different location. You actually check in at the bar around the corner (same name). We were having issues getting in the building until a guest showed up and explained this to us. Other than that, the staff was friendly and everything went great.

Check in was a disaster. Took about an hour. Maybe it was a bad day. Not a full-service hotel: no reception, no one to call about anything -- though the pricing is that of a full-service hotel. I wrote to the management to enquire. No response yet -- so I guess that also shows this hotel is "not ready". The room was nice, and the breakfast, at an adjacent hotel, was good.

Under construction
Not really a hotel at the moment. Under construction, construction noise afternoon and morning, check-in procedures not really great, issues with the bathroom, and so forth. I understand why they want to renovate. A solid 1-star review if not for the breakfast and the friendly staff (not that they were easy to find).
