We recently celebrated a milestone birthday at the Wilburton Inn. We had 30 family members staying in Strawberry View Villa, Equinox Valley View and Maxwell Suites. The accommodations were excellent. Melissa and all her staff made sure we had everything we needed to have a great time. We spent time by the pool, playing ping pong, exploring town, had a BBQ. One of the highlights was having S'mores by the fire. It truly felt like home. Every one of us had a wonderful time. Do not hesitate, stay at Wilburton Inn. Donna E

I always have a great time at the Wilburton and this time was no different. Our first stop was a Sunday evening concert at Earth Sky Time Farm, which is always a blast. We returned to the mansion (my first time at that location). The room (double queen) was gorgeous, clean and very comfortable and quiet. The innkeeper, Melissa, and staff were accommodating, responsive and friendly as always. My friend and I enjoyed walking the property, looking at the art and wrapping our minds around the ideas behind them.

Our family reunion at Willburton Inn could not have been more perfect. Thirty-two of us gathered for four unforgettable days, packing in a 90th birthday celebration, a baby shower, karaoke night, bonfires, pool hangs, and family dinners in the many beautiful spaces they offer for meals. We loved cooking together in the commercial kitchen, finding cozy corners throughout the property to sit and visit, soaking in the gorgeous grounds with mountains all around us, and — maybe best of all — having our own en suite bedrooms so everyone had a private retreat at the end of each full day. Highly recommend!

Our second visit to the Wilburton and it was as great as first time. Very comfortable beds, lovely linens - but the beautiful grounds and exceptional scenery really stand out. We love staying here.

The Wilburton is a unique pleasure. Situated on a beautiful hilltop offering stunning views and dotted with magnificent sculptures. A main house that transports you to the Gilded Age, along with a number of beautifully decorated cottages, presents you with a variety of accommodations. Our room was immaculate, with a comfortable bed and plenty of space for our clothing. We had a lovely terrace to sit out in and contemplate the scenery. Our room was called “The Garden of Eden” room and had a number of whimsical prints and a rug in keeping with that theme. Check in and check out could not have been easier. Excellent Wi-Fi, a bedside electrical outlet that included USB outlets, allowing multiple-device charging. The Wilburton provides plenty of information regarding the surrounding area, which is helpful to those unfamiliar with the area. This part of Vermont is tranquil and serene. The Wilburton complements it perfectly.

My wife and I and some close friends just returned from a weekend at The Wilburton, and we cannot recommend it highly enough — it was truly an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The setting alone is worth the trip. The hotel sits on a stunning Vermont hillside with sweeping views of the Green Mountains that are breathtaking at any hour, but especially at sunrise and sunset. The historic mansion is full of charm and elegance — you feel genuinely transported to another era, yet with every modern comfort. Every corner of the property, from the guest rooms to the common areas, was impeccably maintained, which made the entire stay feel that much more relaxing. Breakfast was a delight: beautifully prepared eggs, bacon, quiche, truly home-baked breads, and excellent coffee. But what truly elevates The Wilburton is the hospitality. The staff and hosts are genuinely warm, welcoming, and attentive in a way that makes you feel like a guest in a private home rather than a hotel. They take real pride in engaging personally with guests and sharing the fascinating history of the property. We came specifically for the Mystery Weekend, which fell over Mother's Day, and it far exceeded every expectation. This is not your typical campy dinner theater — it is a cut above in every way. The writing was sharp, witty, and wholly original; honestly, Broadway-caliber. (One of the cast members reportedly starred in Les Miz on Broadway, and the writer — who is also the owner — has had multiple plays produced on New York stages.) The script brilliantly wove historical facts about The Wilburton — including its storied past as a secret corporate retreat for RKO Pictures stars — with delightful, classic Cole Porter songs. It was genuinely funny, inventive, and unlike anything we have experienced. Between the Broadway singalongs and intimate meet-the-cast cocktails, the weekend felt less like a one-off event and more like a full celebration of storytelling and performance. We have done similar experiences elsewhere, and nothing has come close. The Wilburton has created something truly special here. Needless to say, we left already planning our return. Highest possible recommendation.

We had the most delightful stay at the Wilburton Inn. The actual property is so rich with history and stories and a stones throw from Hildene (the home of Lincoln’s eldest surviving son, Robert Todd Lincoln), the charming village of Manchester, the Orvis fly fishing school and shop, as well the outlets if that’s something you’re into, and so much more. The Wilburton Inn has its own love and support for the arts and for artists and they are known to host on their property concerts, talks, cabarets and readings open to their guests and the public. It is truly a special getaway run by a very special family. (I wish I had photos to share here, but I was so engrossed in my time while I was visiting I completely forgot to take pictures.)

The Wilburton was the perfect venue for our annual family vacation. The private yard was great for evenings around the fire pit. The rooms were beautiful, beds were comfortable and it had everything you could need for cooking in a huge kitchen. Plenty to do in town which is so close by. The kids had a blast in the indoor pool and Melissa the host was so accommodating and friendly! Highly recommend!

My best friends and I go to the Wilburton Inn twice a year and have been going there for over 20 yrs. Throughout the years, the levis family has become our family. They have welcomed us since day one with open arms. As we drove up the long driveway surrounded by beautiful mountains, we fell in love with the property. The Wilburton Inn Mansion sits right in the heart of all nature’s beauty. The staff is amazing and go above and beyond helping a guest. The rooms are beautiful and cozy. The rates are worth every penny! The New York girls

Battenkill Valley Mansion was the perfect accommodation for our large group. The house was equipped with everything you could need for a big group for many days. Lots of room to spread out between the multiple communal spaces. The beds were cozy and the bathrooms were clean. The communication with the staff was excellent and they took great care of us. We would highly recommend this place to all!

Stayed at the Wilburton for a long weekend for skiing. We were a group of 6 families with kids ranging in age from 5-20. The numerous bedrooms allowed for everyone to spread out comfortably and the multiple common areas allowed for ease in being all together. We especially loved cooking and baking in the kitchen (and utilizing the amazing industrial dishwasher for super fast clean up!) and being able to all gather in the dining room for meals and in the living room to watch the superbowl and the Olympics. We also appreciated being able to use the pool on site. The house is located near to both bromley and Stratton for skiing and the town of Manchester is worth visiting as well. I must note that the ease and responsiveness of the owner and staff was exceptional !

This place is a gem!! We had a wonderful time staying in one of the pet friendly villas. It was beautifully decorated and had a lovely view. We walked around and looked at all the amazing statues with our puppy Wolfy. And the pool was very nice after a long hike. I recommend this inn to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway, and we will definitely be back!
