Holiday Inn Express MANCHESTER CC - OXFORD ROAD by IHG

This hotel is a typical Holiday Inn, incredibly convenient as it's right by Oxford Road Station. There are plenty of supermarkets downstairs, and it's not far from the University of Manchester, making it a very bustling and well-connected area. Plus, Chinatown is just a seven to eight-minute walk away. Manchester is also home to two famous football teams, Manchester United and Manchester City.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Manchester City Centre for a business trip, and my overall experience was excellent. The hotel's location is superb, very close to Manchester Oxford Road Station. After exiting the station, it's just a short walk down the stairs on the right to reach the hotel, making travel to and from the station incredibly quick. This saved a lot of commuting time, which is very convenient for those traveling by train. The room featured floor-to-ceiling windows, providing excellent natural light and making the space feel bright and airy, which was very pleasant. The hotel also offers a complimentary breakfast with a good variety of options to meet daily dining needs. Most areas of the room were cleaned very well, and the overall environment, service, and facilities exceeded my expectations. The only minor drawback was the condition of the sofa in the room; it looked quite dirty with a lot of lint, indicating it hadn't been properly cleaned. Aside from this small flaw with the sofa, everything else was very satisfactory, making it a great choice for business travelers.

They said online a deposit was required, but they didn't actually charge one, which was a nice surprise. I booked two nights separately, meaning I had to check out and immediately check back in to stay in the same room. The front desk staff were very nice and processed it quickly. For breakfast, there was English baked beans, bacon, bread, etc. I didn't have high expectations, but there's nothing bad to say about it. The location is quite close to Manchester University and a 5-minute walk from Oxford Road station, which is very convenient. Getting to Manchester city center is also easy. Chinatown is just a ten-minute walk away, so that's quick too. The only downside is that there are quite a few homeless people downstairs at night, making it feel a bit unsafe.

The first room I was given hadn't even been cleaned; it had a strong odor and there was trash on the table. The second room they gave me had a lot of broken facilities, and I almost couldn't get into the toilet because the doorknob was faulty.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, right next to Manchester Oxford Road train station and also very close to Manchester's Chinatown. The service is great, and they offer a complimentary breakfast.

The hotel's location is super convenient, right next to the train station, and there are plenty of amenities downstairs. The room size and price offer great value for money in this area. I'm even planning to stay there again in a couple of days.
