We booked this hotel for three nights and liked it so much that we booked it for another five. It was a great location and great staff. Our go to man was José, who seemed to be working all the time, he checked us in, cooked us breakfast and was at the door to let us in when we came back from dinner at night. He always had a smile on his face and he spoke English. We had a balcony room overlooking the ocean and it was quiet while we were there. We had to change rooms a couple of times, because of staying longer, which was fine. Good wifi, and good service. We are not surfers and the day we checked out it filled up so there was a lot more stir. Our flight out was not until 19:30 and they provided us with a room to shower and change at no extra cost. The price was descent and it was a very positive experience for finishing up a five week trip to Peru. Barry I would have no issue recommending this small hotel.

I hope a better room. It was different of the web page. The hotel was located in a good location. You have a lot of restaurants, markets and bank near the place

We arrived to town early in the morning on a bus from Ecuador. Fortunately, the hotel provides an option for early arrival. The room had ample space, and was provided with a desk and a balcony. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good.

The best thing about the Don Giovanni is the location, otherwise it is a dump. It is right on the point at Mancora where you can watch the surfers and surf school students collide on the overcrowded waves from your balcony. That's about it, the hotel is very overpriced and offers little. When we checked in we were surprised to see a cat poo on the floor of our shower. Management quickly switched our room...to a dismal interior room with only one window high above that allowed the hotel lights to shine in at night. A terrible room. We asked for a different room and even after the cat crap incident and the interior room they still charged us for the better triple room. Very unprofessional. Shower was weak and outdated in the room though we had a nice view from the balcony. WiFi worked. Breakfast was offered, simple fruit and fried egg but the staff was kind enough. There are no other offerings, the restaurant was closed and the "gelateria" non-existent. Stay elsewhere.

television was not good....had to ask for help many times to turn the televiion on......rooms below standard....rooms not cleaned until late afternoon.....hotel not worth the price they charged for rooms and breakfast

Reservamos por Booking 5 noches, la reserva solicitaba una tarjeta para garantizar al reserva solamente, pero se hizo el cargo por el total más 9 dolares extras. Legamos el día acordado y las fotos del lugar no se parecían, el lugar estaba mal cuidado, la habitación tenía mal olor (olor a humedad, encierro), el espejo del baño estaba sucio lo mismo que el suelo, las cortinas del dormitorio estaban muy manchadas igual que las paredes, el ventilador estaba con polvo, no funcionaba el internet y el TV cable tenía un aviso de corte por no pago del servicio. Sólo pudimos alojarnos una noche porque el lugar además de todo lo anterior, era super ruidoso. Me contacté con el recepcionista para que me devolvieran el cargo de mi tarjeta y dijo que lo haría lo más pronto posible y nos fuimos a otro hotel, y a la fecha ha pasado mas de una semana y ahora se desentienden de la devolución del dinero y nadie responde
