We love boutique size hotels. This hotel only has 10 rooms. Has a nice pool. Our room has a cooktop, full size fridge, coffee maker (no coffee provided) Check in has never been so fast, but it was kinda weird. The guy asked for our last name then he took us to our room, told us the door code and said that’s your room. Nothing else was said. Went back to ask for wifi password. We weren’t instructed on anything about the hotel whatsoever. Sunday we had to leave early to go on a tour. We left at 6:45 and there was no breakfast. Not even coffee. My travel agent booked us here BECAUSE of the free breakfast. Our bathroom stunk of poop. The smell went away, indicating that someone was in our room pooping minutes prior to our arrival. Anyhoo. Not very impressed. Also huge cockroach in the room. Disgusting. For the safe you need to ask for a key??? Not very safe in my opinion. The windows have sheer curtains so it quite bright in the am. Shower head is old and water is luke warm. Glad we’re only for 2 nights.

I had previously wrote a review on the Villas Mymosa because the first morning was a disaster. (I removed the review and I've written this one now) No staff (apart from cleaners) were around and this was around 7am - 8am. The kitchen was empty. After witnessing people clearing the kitchen out the night before I thought that there must have been a staff/manager/company issue. We had no breakfast that morning but eventually the cleaners who were brilliant got in contact with the manager Jessica. She turned up about 30 minutes later. She didn't comment on the staff shortages but what she did do was resolve all the problems as much as she could which I and my parents and partner were happy with. Jessica and all the staff who are clearly new or knocking up breakfast who don't usually cook breakfast have been great and very friendly. The rooms have been cleaned nicely everyday. Breakfast is basic but perfectly fried or scrambled egg with toast and fruit. The Macaws come here everyday to eat the almonds from the tree and the toucans next in the tree over the carpark. You won't see macaws in the National Park only here at Villas Mymosa. Monkeys visit daily too. Swimming pool is nice. I hope the business is back up and running as it should be from now.

We're here now. No staff, no breakfast. Everything including the front office is closed. Everything from the kitchen was cleared out last night. It looks like there's a major problem with this company. Now I'm being told there's no key for the safe. I hope the owner reads this. Gardeners are here and that's it. Everyone here is a disaster. Its 08.39.

Here I am once again, such a peaceful, wonderful experience. The room is spacious and the beds are comfortable. I can’t say enough good things about the staff!!! They go way out of their way to accommodate your needs and are so very friendly. If you are looking for peace and tranquility this is the place to stay. You will also love the complimentary breakfast, free wifi and free parking.

We stayed here a week between Christmas and New Year's and this place was fantastic. The villa was spacious, the beds extremely comfortable, the AC worked exceptionally well, and the kitchen was well equipped. The pool was great for a dip after a long day of hiking, and we even saw both spider and white-faced monkey while sitting out! One even tried to steal some food! The breakfasts were delicious, starting with a plate of fruit, and then you have a choice of 5 different types of breakfasts. We all loved the Tico breakfast (eggs, rice & beans, plantains, sausage, and tortillas. Delicioso!) But, the best part of Villas Mymosa is the staff. Everyone from the chef, to the cleaning ladies, to Kathy the evening bartender, to Karen the morning server, German the night watchman, and Amy and Kathia the office managers, were so friendly and accommodating to our every need. I booked all our excursions through Kathia and ended up making a new friend! The Villas are located right near the bus stop from which, for less than $1, you can get to Quepos or Manuel Antonio. I highly recommend Villas Mymosa.

We had here a wonderful stay for 3 nights. Very spacious villa, good bed(s), nice pool and breakfastarea. All very well maintained. The staff is very welcoming and all lovely people. For the breakfast there is Karen, a really very nice lady, who makes your day start with a good breakfast of your choice and a smile. We loved Herman, the concierge and his chats as well. The days we spent in this calm and relaxing place close to Manuel Antonio and to Quepos centre were very pleasant and we would book here again.

I totally fell in love with this place. Our room was cleaned any time we asked. The staff ….every single one of them went out of their way to do whatever we asked….right down to the security guard. You can’t ask for a friendlier, cleaner place to stay!!! Kudos

Great place - very clean and well kept. Very helpful and accommodating staff who helped us with great forest tours, guided us to good local restaurants with typical Costa Rican food and helped us with onwards travel. Very happy to recommend and to give an excellent review.

We stayed here for 3 nights and felt so welcomed by the friendly staff. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable, and the lodge itself was very quaint! The bar had incredible cocktails. There is also a nice pool that we swam in almost everyday. It was about a 12-minute drive to the main beach, and we either took the bus (it comes ever 15 minutes right outside the hotel) or got a taxi. We also saw a ton of squirrel monkeys running on the wires right outside the hotel! It was so immersed in nature and just so beautiful, I definitely recommend staying here on your trip to Manuel Antonio!

Rooms are exceptionally spacious, well equipped and maintained. Tucked away from the main road and surrounded by natural vegetation, the Mymosa's site was well used by monkeys, macaws and more. The whole family enjoyed the laid back ambiance of the locale, and would love to visit again. A big thanks to Letty, who was so helpful from the beginning of the booking process and throughout our stay.

We stayed for 4 days in a superior suite. It was very nice, huge and clean. The kitchen was equipped with anything you would need plus lots of towels and extra blankets. There is ac in both bedrooms and fans that can be used in the central areas. Letty and the girls were very helpful in explaining how to get places and the bus is right at the end of the street to go to Quepos and Manuel Antonio. The amount of wildlife we saw from the deck was amazing. Spider monkeys, white faced monkeys, toucans, parrots and iguanas. Pool is good, deep but there are lots of noodles. My only reason for 4 star is the noise between rooms, our neighbors were up late one night and we could hear everything they said and did. It did not ruin our stay but we were very happy they checked out the next day.

Excellent service from the staff, very friendly and attentive to the needs of the passenger. The only criticism would be that it needs some building improvement. The rooms were very complete with refrigerator, microwave, I would definitely return.

The afternoon we arrived there was a storm, they informed us that they would give us the room as soon as possible, we waited 1h10min under a small roof and once they gave us the Villa that corresponded to us, its bathroom was all flooded. They offered us to change it and after a while they told us that we would finally stay in that one. The next afternoon it flooded again and they couldn't solve it for hours. We couldn't bathe because the bathroom was completely flooded and to clean it when the water went out they sent the receptionist's daughter with a broom without products or anything, so We were very sad (he was 10 years old) and we cleaned it ourselves. We were going to stay 3 nights and decided to shorten our stay because we saw no option for improvement. The best thing about the accommodation was Karen, who served breakfast, super attentive and pleasant.
