Margaret River Hideaway & Farmstay is a lovely place to be if you are in the Margaret River region. The cottages are great, the kids playgrounds within the farm are beautiful and the animals and the feeding sessions are exciting. We stayed for 4 nights. The night sky is amazing to look at. We had everything in the cottage needed for a comfortable stay. We would highly recommended anyone with young kids visiting Margaret River to definitely stay here. You are close enough from Margaret River town, but a bit far to enjoy the calm and the peace. Dani, the manager was very helpful. Only issue we had in the cottage was about the shower mixer (hot + cold) - had a hard time mixing them up properly for the optimum temperature. Other than that, it was just bliss!

My partner and I had an absolutely amazing first experience at Hideaway! The facility was super clean, and we had a blast feeding the animals in the morning. Dani was incredibly helpful and friendly, making our stay even better. We've already recommended it to our friends and family, and we can't wait to go back!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful farm cottage decently located 5 mins drive from the very picturesque and memorable Margaret River town. This accommodation is also within minutes to an hour drive to interesting and scenic wineries and wine estates around the Margaret River region. We also drove to Augusta (1 hour) which I thought could have given a miss. Should have spent more time exploring Margaret River spots. On arrival, we were greeted warmly and so chirpily by joyful Kim (and Brian the peacock), we were mesmerized as we drove up to our warmed and lit up cottage. The cottage feels very new with very thoughtful amenities and facilities. Laundry facilities is shared and located by the reception/house. Kim was very kind to help us with our laundry while we went out wine, food, scene hunting. The cottage. Some thoughtful measures I can remember are the well lit walk-in closet, easy-to-operate blackout blinds, strong aircond/heater in the living room, easy-to-follow instructions for fireplace with lots of logs provided, a cute fireplace, heated blankets on beds. Laundry basin with drying rack. Supply of breakfast food like bread, cereal, milk, juice, eggs, coffee/tea for our first morning. Heated lighting in the bathroom. Good water flow and shower head is movable. A lot of space for luggages. The farm tour. The reason we came to stay at Margaret River Hideaway was to meet farm animals. We were very happy with the way the farm experience was organized. Danii, our farm host and guide enchanted us with her friendly animals and of course plenty of wit and charm. Even adults turned into little children all of us wanting to have a go at feeding, stroking and befriending the animals such as alpacas, chickens, ducks, geese, sheep, cows, did I miss anyone(?). The town. All their recommendations, we took up and had a great time especially dining at the tavern which we enjoyed so much that we returned for the second night. Margaret River Hideaway and Cottages completed our perfect stay at Margaret River.

Superbly located and very well maintained, the farm offers great accommodation in self-contained cottages. We had a 3 bedroom which was very spacious and comfortable for our group of 3 adults and 3 kids. There's firewood and starters provided for booth indoor and outdoor fires, which were much enjoyed by everyone. Kitchen was reasonably well stocked with utensils - we'd have loved a dish washer given our larger group size and the fact that we enjoy doing our own proper cooking. Kids spent a lot of good time on the large trampoline - this was a really great addition! Our only disappointment was in terms of the animal variety and interaction. Keeping the kids occupied on the farm was a main reason we chose this stay. In comparison to other farm stays we've experienced, this was a little on the slim side. Animal feedings are only once every other day (unlike other farms where kids can feed at leisure), there were no baby animals for closer interaction for smaller kids, and we would have loved to get the kids to collect eggs everyday from the chickens.

Definitely a must for family with young children. Coming from Singapore, our daughter who was 15 months absolutely enjoyed the experience interacting with farm animals as well as feeding the animals. Rooms were well appointed, spacious and clean. Free ranged eggs provided as well. All in all a wonderful 2 nights spend here

We had such a great farm stay experience with Margaret River Hideaway. Kim was most accommodating and my 3 yo was so sad when we had to leave the farm. The animal feeding experience is a must when staying there. Our apartment was clean and comfortable, everything works and having alpacas roaming right outside our apartment was just perfect. It's tucked away from the main road so it's a really tranquil spot but at the same time the township (where Woolworths, IGA and Coles are) is just 8 minutes away. Thank you for a most magical time.

We stayed at the superior 3 bedrooms chalet this time round for 3 nights. Previously we booked the superior rooms and I highly recommend you to book the superior ones. There’s 2 toilets and the pots and pans are of better quality and also I don’t remember having a reverse air conditioner and heated blankets in the standard chalet which is so important during winter. Beds and pillows were also very comfortable I got to sleep through the nights. Kim is extremely helpful from check in to checkout. She even helped us warmed up the rooms before our check in, how nice can that be? We managed to join the animal feedings twice during our stay. On one of the day when there’s no feeding, I requested for a bucket of Emu’s food so that we can do our own feeding and she agreed and even brought them to our chalet early in the morning as promised. My kids cherished the food as they can feed the animals the whole day.. kids never get sick of feeding animals and that’s the reason why we went to stay at the farm. Just a pity there’s no dish washer, washing machine and dryer in the chalets as I guess they have limited water but then again this is a farm not a hotel so this is perfectly fine for us. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends!

Absolute perfection! My family have visited and stayed multiple times, we love it here! Kim and Tony are great hosts and the animal feedings are definitely a highlight. My (now) 2 year old has a great time exploring the grounds and interacting with all the animals that are wandering around freely. With the numerous adventure playgrounds around, you don't have to go far to keep your children entertained. The Accommodation is very clean, spacious and relaxing with a lovely alfresco overlooking animals and beautiful surroundings. Margaret River town is an 8 minute drive away - you wouldn't know it when here though! A brewery just down the road and multiple wineries in one of the best wine regions. We look forward to returning next year to stay otherwise plan to visit in the meantime. Definitely gives a welcome and family feeling to all guests. Thanks Kim and Tony!! (keen to know if our sheep have a new addition or 5) :)

Kim is such a sweet host. Very responsive with my inquiries and helpful to have the heaters on in the cottages as I made mention we were not used to the cold. It is comforting to come into a warm cottage as we arrived late in the evening. The animal feedings was fun despite slight drizzle it did not dampen the excitement of the kids. Kim gave good introduction at each animal enclosure and make sure the little ones get to try feeding them and does not pressure kids who are timid. The cottage is well equipped with clean beddings and towels. Beds are firm with extra blankets n electric blankets available for this cold weather. A nice gesture of offering bread and milk to kick start our first day since we got in late so very thankful for the kind consideration. Family with kids and want to be in close proximity with the free roaming animals - this is the farm stay for you.
