We stayed here for three nights and were very impressed with the cottage and the surrounds. A beautiful spot to relax in. Be aware that Siri will tell you the location is about 3km away from where it actually is - you need to drive 4km along Carters Rd, off Bussell Hwy, and look for the yellow flags on either side of the driveway. When you arrive your key will be on a blackboard, where you return it when you leave - we didn't actually see anyone in reception the whole time we were there. The cottage itself was exceptionally clean and well equipped. As there was only the two of us the second bedroom was locked off, but you can access the extra room for a fee. We were provided with a breakfast 'starter kit' which was cereal, toasts and preserves, milk and orange juice. The township of Margaret River is not far away to buy whatever you need food wise. We loved having a slow combustion wood burning fireplace, and the wood was topped up each day. Made it very cosy and comfortable. The couch was comfortable as was the bed. We also loved having a verandah with table and chairs to sit and watch nature in the bush nearby and a BBQ to use. There are walks you can do within the boundary of the property (be aware the boundary is an electric fence to keep the local cows out). Great for bird-watching, lots of beautiful birds to be seen around here. Be mindful of the kangaroos around - more than once I startled a kangaroo blending in to the surrounds. The wi-fi was not so great but that's because of the bush location. This also means that TV was just free-to-air, no access to streaming services. A good opportunity to disconnect and enjoy the peace and quiet. There is access to a washing machine and a dryer. They cost $4 each and you can scan your card rather than searching for change. There is a clothes line at the back of the cottage as well as a clothes airer to use. Out the front of reception you can purchase jams, honey or eggs - an honour system placing the money in a tin. This was a great launching point for all the local attractions - wineries, beaches, caves, foodie places. Overall we loved our stay here and would definitely stay here again.
