We stayed with my two children at the hotel Amelia. The hotel is a 2-star hotel but just in front there is the latest Amelia dream view that is 3 stars. Just cross the street. Breakfast for all guests is in the 2-star room, while dinners and dinners for half or full pension are consumed in the 3-star restaurant. Our room, No. 4 had a double bed and 1 separate bed with bathroom and bathroom with shower. The restaurant is really good, we have tried both lunch and dinner, with half-pension and I reiterate that we have met great. The hotel has a small outdoor pool with an annex small hydromassage pool, both very comfortable to refresh in case of excess heat. Michela and Fabio are really nice and they can always advise you about the activities to take around, without forgeting that the hotel has discounts and discounts for the main tourist attractions of the parking. I visited here with a group to see the Puccini Opera Festival. The hotel is spotlessly clean with lovely staff and a great pool. Breakfasts were excellent - wide choice, fruits, cooked eggs, meats etc and plenty of it. My only cavil was with the first set evening’s meal - a miserable chicken leg and a few chips. However our tour guide did complain and the second set meal was excellent. This complaint seems to have been given before - and not always heeded. Villa Capuggi is such a nice hotel that I wonder why they stint sometimes - even though the cost of living crisis impacts here too. Just a little more luxury and this would be the perfect Italian hotel.

The staff here are very nice and the rooms are spotless. We were in a half board basis so dinner was a choice of one of three starters (mainly soup or pasta) and one of three mains. Dessert was whatever it was - no choice. The food was basic, just about ok, certainly nothing special and we have never had such low quality food in a hotel before in Italy. The only good thing that can be said was that it was included in the HB price so we made sure we ate something tasty and better elsewhere at lunchtimes. The dessert on our first night was good - it was a big baked Alaska which was superb. A bit down hill after that on desserts though - the crostata one evening was dry and tasteless. There is a very basic salad bar available but best to get to it early as it ran out a couple of times we were there. Breakfast was even worse, we found to be a bit lacklustre! Macchine coffee, machine juices (very watery) and some sad pastries. Meats and cheese available but nothing inspiring - we have certainly had better. We opted for a superior room with terrace but sadly the weather was not our friend so it didn’t get the use I had hoped for. The shower was minescule with two bi-fold doors so you had to ease yourself in and then close the doors around yourself and not enough room to bend forward Sitting in the Liberty Terrace we were plagued with flies, mosquitos and gnats and, despite spraying, got quite a lot of bites. The hotel is really convenient for Terme tettuccio - it’s only about 800 metres away The Funicular is a little further but only a 10/15 minute walk away - very convenient! We have been to many parts of Italy and can say that the food in the hotel was the worst we have ever encountered. Would we return? Definitely not!

Greatly and centrally located near lots of places to eat, have a drink and visit. Parking outside wasn’t too complicated, just find a spot and pay. When we got there we only found one employee who couldn’t speak English and was a bit difficult to check in but regardless he was very nice, helpful and serviceable. He also helped us with figuring out how the parking worked. Room and bathroom were nice and spacious though the mini fridge didn’t really seemed to work. Other than that I pile stay again if I were in the area.

The property is in a great location for exploring the town and the park and funicular. The hotel is spotlessly clean both inside and out. The roof top pool area is great for relaxing with a cooling breeze and fantastic views of Montecatini Terme Alto. What really made this our best ever Italian stay though is the hotel staff were exceptional throughout. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we were always met with a friendly smile, impeccable service, we honestly cannot remember better customer service from a hotel stay. A special mention for Nadisha whom we primarily worked the rooftop pool bar, this young lady is an absolute credit to the hotel, she is non stop, fluent in so many languages, never stops working and never stops smiling with every guest she meets and takes such wonderful care off.

The hotel is situated about a 10/15 minute walk from the centre. It's a lovely walk from the hotel to where the bars and restaurants are, through a well maintained park. The views from the hotel are incredible too, a very relaxing landscape whilst your hanging out in the pool or having breakfast. The communal spaces in the hotel are well maintained and clean. It's also pretty quiet which we really enjoyed. We stayed in the Junior Suite and liked the room decor and the amount of space and storage available. The automatic lights are a bit annoying if trying to shower at night as they don't work well. What we assumed was bottles of water in the fridge were not free though found out by accident that they were not - there is no price list so be aware of this very easy money making exercise. Breakfast is a pretty standard serving with breads, meats and pastries. All good quality.
