Grand Villa Sol Apart

We stayed here in June and end of October/November this year. We returned after our June trip because we had the absolute best time at the grand villa sol. It is a nice small and friendly hotel. Hotel is clean, the food is good as are the drinks. And the hotel team well they are just the best. Freddie and his team go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and enjoy your time while staying here. You really do come as guests and leave as family. They work endless hours day and nights making sure everyone is having a good holiday and it’s always with a smile too. We can’t thank them enough for taking such good care of us. And can’t wait to join them again next summer. So to Freddie and all of the Villa sol team, thank you and see you soon.and hope you enjoy your well earned rest. Just back from our second visit of the year to the best place, Grand Villa Sol. Me and my friends love it here! The foods amazing the atmosphere is amazing and the staff treat you like family. We cannot thank Freddie and his team enough for always going above and beyond. None stop laughs and good times from start to finish! We also meet the best people every time we stay here (other guests) everyone enjoying their experiences together! We are already planning to return in May, and are counting down the days!

This was a fab break for me and mum in law ,friendly greeting when we got out of our transfer car ,checked in no issues our cases were carried to our basement studio perfect for what we needed. Food is great and drinks are extensive all staff are great so helpful will be back for a visit ,pool area is clean plenty of sunbeds

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks last April had a great time Eddie and all the staff are very friendly. While walking back to the hotel one afternoon one of the staff came down and picked the pair of us up on his motorcycle. We were upgraded to an apartment which was great, Eddie and the staff couldn't do enough for us. A great holiday was had and the people we met also some laughs. Will be back again some time.

As a solo female traveller this is not somewhere I would recommend. On my arrival the hotel owner (Freddie) was not happy that I was in one of his rooms on my own. He accused me of conning him out of money and his rooms by pretending that there were two travellers. He told me I impacted on his bar and restaurant profits by being alone. I did not think he was going to let me have the room I had booked via ******* for one person, you can imagine how shocked I was by his attitude, the female receptionist was clearly upset too as he was shouting and aggressive to her as well as me. I explained that had I booked for two I would have had to pay for two and that would just be ridiculous of me, I had booked for one person. I was meeting my sister and friend who were already booked in when they tried to intervine and calm the situation he was aggressive to them. Eventually I got a room, but not before he accused me of not paying ******* as he had recieved no money from them. I told him to take it up with ******* and to also request no solo travellers. I had been delayed in arriving so ate at the hotel that night. Food was nice and the staff very welcoming , even Freddie seemed to have calmed somewhat, enough to serve our meals at least. The rooms are very basic but you get what you pay for. The cleaner is lovely but not particularly proactive when it comes to cleaning. The towels and bedding were clean, smelt fresh but are very old and worn with multiple stains n no longer white in colour. We were up early and out the next day, the staff encouraged us robustly to eat in the hotel but were not over the top. This changed dramatically as the week went on they had no interest in being pleasant once we refused to eat or drink in the restaurant. Freddie the owner had moments of being pleasant mixed with a large degree of bizarre humour and seemed to feel it his duty to make lewd, inappropriate and overtly suggestive comments to me. The highlight of which he told me to go have some fun that day, because when I got back in the evening he and I would have some real fun together! I told him we would not, he stroked my arm and insisted we would. I slept in my sisters room that night. Freddie blocks those on his fb page who make derogatory comments and deletes their entries. This is a shame, he could take the feedback on board to improve his bearpit of a hotel, his manners, crude angry attitude and uplift his current very basic people skills above gutter level. He may then get his wish of residents using his hotel facilities. Can I just finish by saying that those who eat and drink in his bar have a very different experience to mine, so if you don't intend to explore Marmaris and its many wonderful eateries, this will be a 5star experience for you with Freddie and his staff kissing your derrier to get your money, alternatively you can sleep with them!!!

Very bed one bed apartment. Manager Very poor freddy.when we asked to keep room on last day for 25 pounds for 4 hours he said we weren't loyal customers and to go to another hotel where we were spending are money .there was no entertainment could not get wifi in bar area so went other places.cleaners were helping themselves to are cigarettes in room.did not do much cleaning. This area had alot more bars 15 years ago when we went to hotel golden orange. There rooms are smaller but alot better updated and there is more going on in there.will not be going back this hotel ever ,or this area. we have booked for next april in Blue Palace Hotel with easyjet this is walking 🚶‍♂️ distance to ⛱️ beach. We will never see FREDDY KRUGER again

Just returned from a 2 week holiday here and honestly haven’t got a bad word to say! The country itself is amazing and even more so the people, the staff at this place are absolutely fantastic, so kind and welcoming always have smiles on their faces and nothing is ever too much for them! We really did feel like family! Can’t mention individual names because everyone was all amazing! Freddie’s family are just beautiful and his son is an absolute darling (future manager in the making). We opted for the half board option for 7 days of our 2 weeks and ate out the rest of the time. Freddie and his staff were really helpful and told us where was good to go and it was never a problem us not being in the hotel like other reviews suggest! However grand Villa sol had the best food and the best service out of everywhere we went so even if you aren’t staying here I 100% recommend going for breakfast lunch or dinner! Entertainment was fab! We especially loved listening to Freddie’s rendition of bingo, the pool and foam party and the staff dances always kept us entertained and the energy was 100 every minute of the day from all staff members! Although the hotel itself is a little worn none of this mattered because of our 100% positive experience everyday, we have made memories with people that we will remember forever and we wouldn’t go anywhere else in Marmaris now! I really cannot recommend grand Villa sol enough! To Freddie, his family and his whole team (including cleaners, kitchen staff that we didn’t see) you all do an amazing job work so hard and really have made our holiday amazing so a massive Thankyou! We wish your business nothing but success and the people nothing but happiness!

Just returned from a 2 week holiday at gran villa sol could not recommend this place enough the staff were excellent could not do enough for my family the food was excellent just as the sign next to the bar says come as guests leave as family absolutely loved the staff thank you all

Stayed at this gem of a hotel again this year after 2 years of no travel. Did not disappoint. 11 of us travelled including my baby grandson and everything was perfect, nothing was too much trouble and the hotel was spotless as always. Food was fantastic and the service impeccable. Has had some bad reviews this place but personally we have never had any problems and it seems like it’s going from strength to strength. Pool is beautiful and plenty of sunbeds for everyone. Fantastic holiday and can’t wait to get there again 🙂
