Palmea Hotel

❌Please please avoid ❌ Palamea hotel !!!! Me and my partner booked this all inclusive cause love holidays sold us a dream but in fact it was the worse experience I’ve ever experienced and I’ve been coming to turkey for 20 years and always hate leaving here but after staying here I wanted to leave the 1st day into my holiday. We booked for 10 nights. What we were sold we were under the impression it had been done up new , but in fact they falsely advertised pictures!!! it does not look like that when you come here!! It’s down there with the worse.(fake pictures) the first twin room we were given was absolutely awful and beyond dangerous. It stunk of sewage and no hot water so we ended up having cold showers for 2 days . We eventually changed to a second room which was better than the first but still disgusting . There were things still left from previous guests in there! So not clean what so ever. You pay All inclusive? Well you cannot get a bottle of water until tea time!! cause they pad lock the fridge all through out the day. food? Breakfast is just mining and if you like eggs constant you’re fine cause that’s all they serve. Can’t even get a slice of toast . If you like the same food every day 3x a day then this may be for you , *pasta *chips * chicken every single day. May I just add RAW chicken. And if the food is not eaten they just close it back up to serve to you for snacks etc. so by then everything is freezing cold. Constant stray cats around and in the restaurant by all the food however I don’t mind cats but do not like the thought of them being around food areas. We have eaten out every single day/night . ( *highly recommend the Emporium & Viking beach for food) Love holidays also advertised entertainment there is none here at all . So we have had to go out every single night to find something . We moved rooms for the 3rd time due to shower being cold . We had our first warm shower in the 3rd room and we moved into it on our 4th day of being here . Not something you wanna be doing whilst on holidays. *No fresh bedding given for the whole time you’re there! Plates are left in corridors, holes in the doors ! What they show you is not what it looks like, please don’t be fooled All in this space of time I tried to contact love holidays to move us hotels as this was not what they sold. They didn’t contact back till my 4th day of being here stating they will send a rep out to see us . This is the same guy who tried to charge me £400 to move hotels as I stated I was not happy on my second day . All he said was we didn’t pay much so why are we moaning ! It didnt matter what I had payed it was still over 1k for the 2 of us and I payed the asking price for a holiday that was falsely advertised. I didn’t have £400 to just move hotels like that as we came out here to christmas shop hence why we went all inclusive normally go (self catering ) . May I add this is the same rep who says to 17/18 year old girls

The worst hotel in marmaris by far!!! we went into the room to find that there was a pipe leaking on the balcony, we complained for days and no help. However, a few days later they sent 2 men up to fix it (no idea why they needed 2 men) went back into room to find that £400 went missing out of my nanas purse and we complained of course and they didn’t even have the decency to say sorry!!!! Absolutely shocking and discusting!!!

Absolutely horrible the staff are so rude.. dirty looks and bad attitude.. the young lad who works around the pool was splashing us with his mop (dirty water) and the bar maid black hair made us feel uncomfortable everytime we went to the bar.. I went for food the young girl said restaurant closed as soon as I walked in but there was people behind me quing aswell she smiled at them. I just ignored her an got my food what I paid for all inclusive.. and also the same girl caught her smelling my hair from the back I know (wierd) as I spun around she jumped back...the guy on the grill was nice and polite and I had 1 nice maid... horrible place weather was nice....

I am tempted to give this hotel 2 stars but it did have some good points. The location is great, close to everything! Buses and taxis are so frequent in Marmaris you are never far from anywhere. The pool was clean, the hotel layout was good. Then the bad points; the food was awful, I'm not a fussy eater, read my other reviews, but this was bland, dried out chips and chicken nuggets. Obviously to cater for the Brits. I think they should stick with delicious local Turkish cuisine. The Turkish breakfast was fine. The hotel cleaning was awful, I would sack all the staff and start again, I had to clean my own room!!!!!! Sink, shower , everything filthy... shame as it was a nice room with a stunning view. Also so poorly managed, there were people every day in reception complaining. (people were nearly coming to blows) People arriving after long flights late at night with no room!! Clearly very over-booked by management, the poor poor reception staff had to deal with the abuse. I would not stay here again, it was cheap yes, but I would rather pay £100 more for decent food and a clean room. I would imagine this hotel could do very very well under different management.

PLEASE DO NOT GO TO PALMEA HOTEL MARMARIS We arrived at Palmea hotel all inclusive for 5 nights when we got their checked in we went up to our room it was very dirty there was dishes in the corridor, stained carpets as we got in our room our air-con was not working and was hanging off the wall. We also had to ask multiple times for an extra chair for the balcony as we only had one. The towels we got in the bathroom was ripped. The food was a no go from the start wasn’t impressed there was no cleanliness whatsoever, there was no variety of food it was all the same all week so me and my partner had to eat out cost the amount as the hotel by the time we had our week their. Also when we wanted a bottle of water it was padlocked untill dinner time and when my partner went to the bar he got told he had to wait till 10am because it wasn’t open but they was stood their. Staff was very rude they would rather stand around and play pool than working or they just stood around talking to each other. There was no WiFi at all so couldn’t contact our families when we asked they couldn’t do anything about their FREE wifi we was meant to have. On our 3rd day we tried to get in touch with love holidays to try solve the issue to be transferred but got told to go through email and write a complaint to them and they then got in touch with the hotel manager and they denied everything we said which was no help at all even including all the photos we took. But overall we ended up spending most of our time down the beach and it was lovely and enjoyed the holiday as much as we could.Where we ended up eating most nights was a 5 minute walk from the hotel to Oscars bar they was very welcoming and food was amazing. Hope this helps some people that are looking to stay and go find somewhere else.

On arrival at the hotel we were told we were given a "tour", which turned out to be a man by the name of Kevin attempting to sell us a massage. When we told him we weren't interested, he told us to leave and the tour was over! The all inclusive buffet was not very good, every night there is a different unnamed meat. On 4th night of our stay, I was made extremely sick by what can only be described as a very questionable lump of chicken. Aside from this, there are a few snacks at the bar throughout the day, like crisps but you have to pay for them anyway. Drinks at the bar were very good however. The pools were fairly pleasant, although we were not allowed to throw a ball back and forth as it as deemed unsafe. It also shuts at 4 or 5 so there is no chance of a later swim. The rooms are not the ones shown in the photos, the photos show the corner rooms which you are very unlikely to get and all other rooms are far smaller than that. Benny was very nice, but most other members of staff could do with improving their people skills. Hotel is very well located, with only a 5-10 minute walk to the beach. One night we walked outside and encountered 5 or 6 wild roaming hogs, who decided to run at one of my friends. Now as funny as this was, I can't help but think that this might not be ideal. According to their advert, the wifi is free and works fine, however it does not extend to the rooms and for this you have to buy a wifi box from reception. Even when in reception the wifi does not work very well at all. The air con is very effective and almost always necessary The shower has no curtain or shield so water will go absolutely everywhere after anyone takes a shower.

This hotel was advertised as a 4☆. I wouldn't give it 1, never mind 4. We found out when we got there that it was the last week of their holiday season, but that doesn't excuse a lack of cleanliness. Was advertised to have entertainment every night ( we had nothing). Wifi, we could only get it if we sat in the lobby or by the pools. Water in every room. Our tv and air con were broken when we arrived. Our flight was delayed so didn't get to hotel till midnight. Only had a meal at breakfast, a snack on the plane, so I asked for a sandwich or something when we got there. We had paid for all-inclusive. Was told to go to the high street a get a meal. Right, midnight, dark didn't know where we were. I explained I'm diabetic and needed food. No help whatsoever, she wasn't intrested. Up in our room we expected tea/coffee, kettle etc. Nothing. Thank goodness l carry small kettle with us all time, BUT, no water. Had to go and ask for some, was told it was in our fridge, l wouldn't be asking if there was some there. As for the cleanliness of the place, that was a laugh. There was a chip on the floor under our dining room table at the start of the week and it was still there at the end. Our shower was dirty and would flood the bathroom everytime it was used. We got clean (if u can call them that) towels every day only because we mopped up bathroom floor with them after showers. Didn't want to think about the marks on some of them. I know when we washed, taps get splashed but they weren't even wiped off by the housekeeper, we did wonder what she got paid for, oh l know, she changed out towels and pulled up the beds. Thats it. Our bedding wasn't changed all week, as we had accidentally dropped a couple of oil drops from sun lotion, so we knew they weren't changed. None of the sides where we made coffee were wiped down. Floor wasn't wiped, there was something sticky between our beds, that was there all week. Above our bathroom door, someone had put a sticker from something they bought and that was still there the day we left. We heard from other guests that things in their rooms (gifts they had bought) went missing. Can't prove this as it didn't happen to us. But my sister did catch the housekeeper going thru my stuff by the kettle. If she had had a cleaning cloth in her had and was wiping things down, then we could have understood why she was moving the stuff around, but she didn't. I've never been to a hotel (don't forget this is '4☆') where l have felt so unsafe in our rooms. Everyday we locked things away and then took pictures to see if our stuff was moved. Not even moved to clean the floors. Now, where do l start on the food. If you like chicken, chicken, and even more chicken. This would have been ok for you. Breakfast was boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, or fried eggs. With what looked like the day befores left overs in some sort of sauce ( no labels to tell us what) potatoes, cold pasta, salad and pancakes. This hotel was not a 4 star as the reviews say. Not even a 1 star. We were all inclusive. The room was dirty when we entered it. Stains and Marks were there all week. No tea or coffee in the room. The AC didn’t work or the TV it took 2 days to get the AC fixed .No water in the room. We had to ask for it and got attitude. The cleaner never cleaned our room only made the bed and I was given a blanket that looked like blood stains on it. Towels were old and stained . Bathroom was still dirty. You had a shower and the water flooded the bathroom We were only allowed bottled water at dinner time it was padlocked till then. The hotel was filthy . The restaurant floor was disgustingly filthy. Coffee stains dirt and food under the tables . The same food was severed exactly the same everyday. No variety. Pasta chicken and eggs. What was left from lunch you saw at dinner added to something else and what was left from dinner you could guarantee it was there for breakfast. The staff hardly spoke English and if you complained or asked for anything you got attitude or huffs. Only a couple of nice staff there. The pool area was dirty they never cleaned around the pool or chairs so you walked on filth. The outside dining area next to the pool was filthy too. In fact everywhere was filthy except for the reception area. The lift or toilets by pool are were dirty too. We went for a relaxing holiday but went out every day to get away from the hotel. Even had to eat out like a lot of other guests to get decent food. When you pay for all inclusive and don’t get any thing like they showed it’s not good. No entertainment. Internet ****** you could only get it at reception. I would not recommend this hotel. I lost my voice and got sick there.

On arrival after nearly 24 hours travelling we got in the room, and 10 minutes later the rep was ringing us to go down and speak with him, he tried selling us trips at 3 times more the real cost, when said we not interested became very pushy and rude, we decided to don’t bother anymore with him, we went for dinner to discover that the food and drinks was even worst, breakfast lunch and dinner is the same food just warmed up and here you go again, only good thing is snack bar where they do burgers, drinks? If u want a bottle of water you need to wait till dinner time, before that there is a water dispenser where you can drink but without mistake you will spend next day on the toilette ( perfect for a diet), my partner and almost everyone in the hotel when we was there at the same problem, the other drinks are just awful, you can have either pepsi or lemonade as soft drinks. Entertainment? Been there a week and we couldn’t see it anywhere. Pool area? 5 o’clock you get kicked out of the pool area so not that good if you been on a trip or day out and you want to make the most of last sun, you are not aloud as you get rudely removed from the area. Room clean? When we was there we had to barn cleaners from coming in our room after cleaners been seeing going through our friends make up bags, more families had items going missing, on arrival room wasn’t that clean anyway. Reception? Only few staff speak english, so if you had an issue we always went and speak to the waitress manager Doan wich he was very helpful. Cats? If you scared of cats avoid this hotel as they are everywhere, while you eating they try to jump on table. Said all this is a shame the hotel is so run down, is in a lovely position but we definitely won’t be returning.
