My family opted to stay in this Riad after seeing it recommended in a travel guide. This was a wise choice as the Riad was beautiful with really welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. We were lucky to stay in the Royal suite which was spacious, had every mod con (including a coffee machine which is hugely important for me!) and felt opulent. Walking a short distance from the roadside square to reach the entrance felt like part of the Marrakesh experience, and staff met us to guide the way and help with luggage. Conveniently placed within the medina and close to all sights, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

I just returned from a wonderful 15 day adventure in Morocco. All of our riads were fabulous, but I have to give a special shout out to Riad Azoulay in Marrakech. We arrived as tourists and left as friends. The two of us took a cooking class on our last evening and they asked what recipe we wanted to learn (it was chicken with preserved lemon and olives). The class also included a fun visit that morning to the local market to purchase our fresh ingredients. Our entire stay was warmed by the people working at the riad with a special shout out to Yasser and Abdul. And sweet kisses to the house cat Azir. Every evening we returned to fresh dates and flowers in our room! The riad is also very easy to find on your own, including the taxi stand. If you're looking to make new friends and memories stay at Riad Azoulay! Judy

I can’t rate this riad and the staff highly enough. It’s the best place I have ever stayed. They organised an airport transfer for me and my family. They were there waiting for us when we arrived and we were taken in a lovely clean new people carrier to our destination. You are unable to drive to directly outside the riad so they had one of their staff waiting for us to take us to the riad which was a short but amazing walk. We then went from buzzing streets through a typical wooden Moroccan door into what can only be described as peace and serenity. It was a complete contrast and you couldn’t have known what lay behind the walls and door when you were out on the street. We stepped into another world and the attention to detail in the riad from the decor to customer service can only be described as excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and it felt as if we were the only customers they had to attend to as the attention to detail was amazing and very personal. We had breakfast and a couple of evening meals both traditionally Moroccan and exquisitely prepared which we all enjoyed. So much so we chose to eat in for our second night rather than find somewhere else to dine because the food and ambience was so fantastic. The riad was very clean and felt so luxurious it truly gave us an amazing start to our holiday and was a very hard act to follow. We also had a Hammam and massage in the riad which were also fabulous and were great value for money and set us up perfectly for our holiday. We only stayed a couple of days as we were travelling but could quite happily have stayed a few days more!

The most beautiful and well run riad, with incredible food! The staff were super friendly, welcoming and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here, it was one of the highlights of visiting Marrakech.

Wonderful stay, spacious rooms, tremendously friendly and helpful staff. The room we were in had a nice sitting area with some natural light. Espresso machine. Carafe of water every day. Clean and well kept. Great communications ahead of the trip, offered to help with bookings. I would definitely stay here again if we return to Marrakech.

When you first walk through the spice market leading to the Riad you do wonder what you have let yourself in for, the market is fairly manic. The riad on the other hand is an oasis of serenity. From the first moment you walk through the door until you leave to go back to the airport you are in a haven of peace and tranquility. The riad smells wonderful, the staff just can't do enough for you and the rooms are beautifully clean. Whoever is responsible for the general upkeep of the riad is definitely doing something right. On our first night we ate in the riad and it was one of the best meals we had during our stay, the lamb was cooked beautifully and it was all the more special as we were the only guests eating in that night, it was almost as if we had arrived at a friends house for dinner!, What we also really liked was that you could choose where you dined, downstairs, on the roof or on the tables just outside your room, just ask and it was sorted. The ladies in the hammam also did a fantastic job on one of the afternoons when my wife and I enjoyed a couple of hours there. Whilst I hate to pick out staff, as they were all wonderful, I would like to especially thank Abdul and Ayoub (hope I spelt that right) for looking after us during our stay, these gentlemen definitely understand what looking after guests means. All in all though all of the staff were great. If you are in the city and looking for a riad then I would definitely recommend this riad.

There’s myriad of choices of accommodation in Marrakech. But i chose to look for traditional riad so we can experience what it’s like to be one of the locals. I made a perfect choice! Riad Azoulay is inside Medina,next to spice market. Walking distance to all main attraction. Clean & Beautiful. We’ve been to all hotels in the world comparing the level if service & star level. Staff of Riad tops it! Exceptional! Goes above & beyond demonstrating a high level of commitment and dedication beyond what is expected, from hands in & prompt communications, arranging transfers, purchasing tour tickets, pick up to and from golf course, arranging over the top breakfast & dinner, to arranging surprise breakfast cake on the roof top for my husband’s bday. I have so much positive to say about Riad Azoulay. Highly recommended. Don’t look further.

An oasis between the hustle and bustle! I enjoyed the lovely smells and the ambience behind the mysterious hotel door. Location is good next to shops although the roads to the hotel sometimes seemed a tiny scary! Cute food surprises were left in hotel room, loved rose water touch in bath and nice staff. Morrocon tea given when entered. Upgrade given too. Would recommend breakfast could be better slightly better but it was nice. My one small issue was — On our check out we had to catch our flight and leave early we were told we would receive some form of breakfast though not complete offering, we didn’t receive any food item despite reminding the staff twice (we only got coffee). But I feel they should have made this clearer that they could not provide anything.

The staff could not have been more helpful! They arranged drivers for us, made dinner reservations, printed some pages for me, prepared dinner for our first evening. They were very kind and helpful! The lobby is beautiful and our room was very comfortable.

Great riad in a central location. Staff, service, atmosphere all wonderful. Breakfasts are simple but tasty and served on the roof terrace. Riad organised a walking tour of the medina with an excellent guide. We arrived late on our first evening and the riad provided a delicious dinner. Room was spacious and nicely decorated however the bed was really quite firm! Would absolutely stay again.

What an amazing place. After 30 hours of travel, we opened the wooden door off of the narrow, chaotic, colorful, lively (in a good adventure travel way) alley to be greeted by a tranquil oasis and traditional Moroccan decorations. We had the family suite on the first floor and our young adult children had their own space tucked off to the side. We loved the rooftop terrace and looking down at the ancient buildings and spice market. The location was great. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted. The staff was very helpful throughout our stay.

We spent a week in this Riad which is magnificent, tastefully decorated and very well located. The staff is very attentive to customers. The meals taken on site are excellent. We had a great vacation, thank you.

Era la nostra 12 volta a Marrakech ed avevamo più volte cercato di prenotare in questa struttura ma senza successo. Finalmente per il periodo natalizio e prenotando direttamente con loro abbiamo trovato disponibilità. Oltre ogni aspettativa ci siamo ritrovati in un posto veramente Magico. Ogni dettaglio del riad è curato con estrema ricercatezza, eleganza e armonia. Nulla è lasciato al caso in ogni ambiente. Si percepisce l'amore e la passione che i proprietari Massimiliano e Sandro, sempre presenti, dedicano a questo incantevole edificio del 1600, da loro finemente ristrutturato mantenendo nel contempo lo stile, i materiali e quell’atmosfera incantevole e fiabesca del Marocco. Anche la ristorazione è al top ed abbiamo potuto gustare cene deliziose servite con posaterie e ceramiche eleganti in un ambiente raffinato, così come le colazioni abbondanti e varie ogni giorno. Il personale sempre gentilissimo, sorridente e discreto, é formato in maniera impeccabile e ti fa sentire un ospite speciale. Le stanze sono bellissime, le suite gigantesche e comunque tutte arredate con gusto e armonia e dotate di ogni comfort. E’ presente nella struttura anche l’hammam dove ci siamo rilassati e ritemprati con un magnifico massaggio. Situato in una posizione strategica, il riad si trova a 2 minuti a piedi dalla piazza del Mellah, a 3 minuti dal Palazzo di Bahia e anche vicino a quello di El Badi. Percorrendo facilmente la via Riad Zitoun Lakdim direttamente dalla piazza del Mellah si arriva in 10 minuti alla Piazza Jemaa El Fna. Inoltre nella piazza del Mellah ci sono i parcheggi dei taxi facilmente reperibili sia di giorno che di sera. Le piccole botteghe di spezie e mercerie che si trovano nei dintorni del riad sono meno turistiche del resto dei Suk di Marrakech e senza dubbio meno invadenti nel proporti le loro mercanzie. Purtroppo le foto non riescono a far percepire l’eleganza e la magia di tutto il riad. Siamo stati magnificamente bene in questo luogo incantevole e accogliente e dopo 4 notti siamo andati via con dispiacere ma con la certezza di ritornare sicuramente presto.
