Reviews of Hotel Meriem Marrakech

Don't get your hopes up too high. The room is fairly large, but I can't say it's very clean, and the water pressure is inconsistent. You can manage to eat your fill of breakfast if you try. That's about the standard for a four-star hotel in Marrakech. When I checked in at the front desk, they didn't even know I had prepaid through the platform and insisted I pay extra. I told them to wait until the manager was on duty and check it themselves tomorrow. They clearly don't understand any of the electronic systems; it's all a battle of wits.

Too bad the swimming pool is not very sunny. Breakfast not much choice. For the rest it's perfect.

I believe the room has a daily rate of £90, paid by the travel company, located on a side road, 150m away from a busy road that runs west past the main station, a few minutes walk away. The room is large, with a fridge, aircon, TV with English Al Jazeera. The bathroom is large, but the bath water can be yellow, lukewarm, or hot or clear. There are small sachets for shampoo and small packets of soap. The new flats being built opposite create a lot of banging and drilling at 0830 in the morning. It is a large hotel surrounding the 2 swimming pools, with a just adequately sized dining room for all the tourists that stay here. Food generally was not that appetising and at the start time of 0730/1930, (finish 1000/2200)it is difficult to get a place to sit and cutlery runs out frequently. However, this morning one of the few friendly women, offered me an omelette and fresh pancakes which was a pleasant surprise. We walked to the main square which takes about 35 minutes. There is a large modern shopping centre Carre Eden about 8 minutes walk away and a small Cacti park, El Harti, about 5 minutes.

The staff were very friendly and the rooms are peaceful. The breakfast is also good and has good options. The rooms are rather dated and the pool has no sun for the entire day.

Hotel is a 3 Star ,well located for shopping, major sights in Marrakesh needs taxi or shuttle. Restaurants and shops very close by. Facility was in good condition and well serviced by porters and front desk staff. Dining was buffet style breakfast and dinner and the quantity and quality of offering was good, Omelette station in AM was appreciated ! Hotel adjusted serving hours on our day of early departure

This hotel has dangerous shower/tub conditions. The tub has very high sides and no anti-slip. The glass for the shower edge makes you have to go out the back of the tub. I fell and hit the side of the tub, bloodying nose and blackening both eyes, chin, arm and foot. We asked for ice and they refused to help and could have cared less. The attitude of the front desk was very snotty. Asked for additional towels because had bloodied all towels and they brought us one! I would not recommend this hotel at all!!

Potentially a fine hotel. Huge common amenities. 2 outdoor pools. 2 restos. Large rooms BUT. Our a/c broke down on the first night - to their credit they moved us to a new room New room - 1 inch gap on between wall and sliding door on the fixed side of balcony letting in air 7/24. Continuous leak in toilet into bowl. Toilet door screeched like a banshee when it was opened or closed. Closet door did not close and hung open All these were reported but only the balcony fixed. Add to that….light too poor to read anywhere apart from the bathroom. No fans working in toilet or bathroom. No power plug in bathroom or near desk. Balcony covered in water from leak in a/c unit. Noisy a/c unit. I think 3* is generous. PS Huge number of 5* reviews by 1 time reviewers who seem to know a great deal about the hotel management

Fantastic hotel, localisation is perfect. We had a great experience as a family, and the person was kind. I recommended.

Average hotel, no hot water 2/3 days on the first floor of rooms, first day yellow water, no pressure and no hot water, second day decent shower with little pressure, third day no hot water. Rooms are clean included breakfasts and dinner were very average at best. Walking distance to the main square about 1/2 hour fairly easy to find your way.

The pools and courtyard were beautiful. Our room was clean. The shower had no pressure or hot water. It just dribbled out and we had to take straight hot water showers and wvwn then it wasn't hot enough. They didn't furnish water either in the room or with the meals. We were told we couldn't bring our own drinks to meals. The orange juice was a poor concentrate. And that's sad when literally every where else had the best fresh orange juice I've had in 30 years. There was a lady in the restaurant who was very nice and helpful. The restaurant's dining table didn't seem to keep the food hot enough. There were omelets for breakfast but there wasn't anything to get on them so they were just omelet shaped scrambled eggs.

Ok hotel, assigned by intrepid. Decent and clean room, with saving grace the location. I feel safe walking after dark (7-8 ish, solo female). Close to post office where I could take bus to Jam al Fina for only 4 Dirham. Unless breakfast is included and time is the essence, skip and eat at espace fruit othman accross the street (open at 8) and many snacks little restaurant for dinner around. Efficient but not super friendly receptionist. Probably will choose somewhere else if up to me, unless of course, if the price is right.

We had a spacious room over looking one of the pools. The staff are what makes this hotel truly special. A big Thank You to Meriam and Zineb at the front desk. These ladies work hard to ensure a great customer experience. Another big thanks to Edhidi and Abdelilih Porters extrodinare. They were helpful with every question we had. And the lady at the omelette station always had the biggest smile, and her omelettes were amazing. Such a great stay!!!

We stayed at this hotel for 7 days and had a great experience. Hotel was clean and swimming pools were great too. The kids enjoyed the stay and its very close to all shops and attractions. Mubarak the manager was very attentive and very helpful and made sure we were happy with everything. We would deffinetly recommend and stay again.
