Beautiful Riad with wonderful staff, food was amazing. Something different for breakfast each day and we had a romantic meal for 2 arranged on our first night which was delicious. The room was huge with a beautiful view of the roof terrace where we ate breakfast every morning. It had a nice calm feel about it compared to the hustle and bustle in the square and you don't hear any noise from inside! Daniel was the perfect host arranging our transport to and from the airport and gave us a map with lots of recommendations of places to visit. All the staff were very friendly and can't do enough for you. Queenie the cat that lives there is also super friendly!

It’s truly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed in! A little oasis just right next to the big market square wich is always very busy. But in this place it’s just peace and quiet which I loved so much! And the beautiful details everywhere! The staff is so great as well.. very delicious breakfast with a lovely view to the Atlas Mountains 😍 Thank you so much!

Tastefully decorated and comfortable. Staff was very kind and breakfast satisfying. Stayed in the 'Tower Room' with large private rooftop terrace which was great for sunsets. The owner was there everyday, a well-spoken Frenchman who gave us some great restaurant recommendations. Would not hesitate to stay here again

The staffs were wonderful and friendly. The room was very clean. The AC worked really well. The courtyard was nice and cool. Patio was pretty. I enjoyed the freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast and the orange jam. I wished there would be an egg though. Location is not bad. We were able to find it with google map without difficulties. We loved the restaurant Nomad that the riad recommended. The trash can in the bathroom was handmade and so adorable.

Communication with El Borj is excellent, we arranged a transfer from the airport and all went very smoothly. We arrived to a lovely welcome from Ali and a tour of our accommodation. The Douriya room is spectacular, huge, cool and very relaxing. After a few days exploring the medina it was a welcome to return to El Borj and our cool relaxing rooms! The location to Jemaa el Fna and the Souks is great, a 5 minute walk. Ali arranged a hot air balloon ride for us, the pick up location was at Cafe de France at Jema El Fna market, so the location cannot be beaten for being central. Daniel helped us with withdrawing money at the ATM. Breakfast on the rooftop was lovely and the staff are excellent. There are many places to eat and wander around. I would 100% recommend El Borj, for our very first experience of Marrakech, it was fabulous.

We spent three night at Riad El Borj and enjoyed it immensely. Our room was quiet and comfortable and we received some good inner options from Ali. The Riad is a beautiful oasis off one of the main streets of the Medina but once you are behind the doors the mayhem from outside is forgotten. Breakfast was good - fruit, yoghurt plus different breads, jams and cheese with a delicious cake option that we ate each morning! The staff were helpful and friendly and the owner very approachable rescuing us at the door on our first night after we had become hopelessly lost. (This was our fault and nothing to do with the Riad)

Ali is the BEST!!! Do not book anywhere else! We stayed at many different types of hotels/riads during our whirlwind 2-week tour of Morocco and Ali was truly our favorite. The location of the property is amazing—right in the middle of all the action, tucked down a quiet street in the heart of the Medina. You can easily walk to all the major attractions of Marrakech with no problem. The breakfast was included and was delicious! It consisted of multiple courses of traditional Moroccan foods and was a hearty way to start your day of sightseeing. However, my favorite part about our stay was that after being harassed to purchase something by everyone, almost everywhere we traveled during the trip, Ali was the first who was not trying to sell us on anything. He didn’t try to push tours or excursions. He didn’t try to recommend crappy restaurants with bad food just because they had tourist menus and he gave us honest answers about how much things *should* cost, so we would not get scammed by taxi drivers, horse carriages or vendors in the night market. This kind of honesty was refreshing and appreciated. We tried all of the recommendations he gave when we solicited them and we were happy with everything! Thank you Ali you are a gem!

This is simply beautiful, from entering the Riad the feeling is relaxed. Our greeting was very warm and welcoming. We stayed for 2 nights while on a longer trip and found the location exceptional, slightly off the main open market square, slightly off the main market trading lanes which made it very quiet and relaxed while fully immersed in the heart of Marrakech. The owner and staff simply cannot be any more accommodating, the breakfast is delightful and the evening cooking smells are delicious and we wished we had eaten dinner here. We had the top balcony room which offers 360’ views of the area including the distant mountains, the room is lovely, the bathroom is lovely, the open windows offer bird song and gently city sound. We would highly recommend this Riad.

Had a great first trip to Marrakech. Daniel, Ali and the rest of the team the perfect hosts. They cannot do enough to make sure you have a great stay. The Ryad is in a great location and is very tastefully decorated.

If you're looking for a quiet place in the center of the Medina, this is the riad for you. First, I have to mention that it saved my friend and me from one of the worst travel experiences we've ever had. We were coming from another riad very close to this one (see previous review), and thank goodness there's a place like EL BORJ. I only have good things to say: - The place is 20 out of 10. The tranquility here is EXCELLENT. And it's just one block from the center. - Ali is a lovely man; he greeted us very kindly first thing in the morning. - The rooms are incredibly beautiful, spacious, and clean. - The terrace is ideal for taking a break from the hectic life outside. If you're wondering where to stay for a very, very good price, this is the riad for you. THANK YOU to Ali and the entire Borj team.

After our bad experience at Riad Dar Assou, we were fortunate enough to book this riad. Upon our arrival, Ali was very understanding, kind, and attentive. He kept our bags until check-in and even offered us coffee and a pastry on his magnificent terrace. The room and bathroom were spectacular. I can't thank Ali for his kindness during our stay at this riad.

We can only agree with the overwhelming majority of reviews...a true oasis of calm in the heart of Marrakech's Medina, with a lovingly crafted interior. We stayed at Riad El Borj both at the beginning and at the end of our tour and felt very welcome and comfortable. Daniel and his team take care of their guests with charm and courtesy. If we were to travel to Marrakech again, we would definitely choose Riad El Borj as our accommodation.

A Riad that we prefer, everything is magnificent, a warm welcome, we are received like hosts, everything is in the detail, we love it, a quiet location, a beautiful decoration, that's for sure, at the end of the year we will come back. Thank you again for your welcome.
