Reviews of Hotel Belle-Vue Vieux-Port

The hotel smells bad, the rooms are very small; they are lairs liars , the checked me with the ac not working mid July . They did not fix it and they pretend they don’t know . We stayed in the mid July without ac . I don’t recommend it .

The Old Port of Marseille is just outside the window. The location is very good, but the hotel facilities are not good enough.

Well located hotel with a view of the port but poorly soundproofed, you can hear the noise from the street, from the neighbors in your room and from the pipes, good classic breakfast at 13€.

Excellent location on the sunny side of the old port. Good sized double room and comfortable bed. Lovely view out of the window and good breakfast. Only minor issue was they the safe wasn’t screwed to the wardrobe and was small and lightweight. Once locked with our passports inside anyone could have picked it up and just removed it from the room. The cafe/bar la Caravelle was cute and staff were very friendly.

Great base for exploring Marseilles. Had a great stay just before Christmas in this not fancy but lovely hotel. Spotlessly clean, good breakfast and fantstic views over the old port. Highly recommend.

Outstanding The staff were welcoming and very helpful! Great recommendations and service. The room while small was clean and modern with an exceptional view of the port. Perfect location for exploring Marseille! Walking distance to all points of interest. The cafe / bar on the second floor was lively and offered food and drink all day and entertainment at night. We highly recommend this hotel!!

Amazing customer service by Wassim and Antoni !! Fantastic hotel on the harbor - centrally located with a great bar (they have Red Breast - our FAVORITE!) and restaurant. Staff is super personable and willing to provide recommendations. Clean rooms, great view is the harbor Tons of nearby restaurants - we will stay here again !

Authentic French hotel on old port, we arrived to a friendly receptionist who gave us an unexpected upgrade to a port view. Room was clear, modern and good facilities. The hotel bar is an added bonus, It dates back to early 1900s and has a great atmosphere, the balcony though small is a perfect location to have a drink, dinner or breakfast and watch the world go by bliss

Staying in the corner room with its stunning views was a luxurious experience, complemented by exceptional cleanliness, elegant and well-maintained interior design, delicious sweet breakfasts, and friendly, attentive staff. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for comfort, style, and outstanding service.

On the one hand, the location, ambiance, and staff are fantastic. This should have been a great stay. Unfortunately, it was totally marred by poor room design and absolutely crappy WiFi. The poor design includes lack of enough wall sockets in the rooms. In the 3rd decade of the 21st century travelers have more than one piece of electronics they need to plug in, but there are only two wall sockets in the rooms, which required constant switching of devices. Second, the bathroom light switch is outside the bathroom, meaning that if someone gets up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, they need to turn the bathroom light on before opening/closing the bathroom door, thereby possibly waking their sleeping partner. Third, the shower "curtain" is a small piece of glass that barely serves its function, and there is a little lake on the bathroom floor when you finish a shower. Fourth, if you decide to use the hotel's hair dryer, it has no ground, and you'll be drying your hair with an ungrounded dryer while standing on a completely soaked bathroom floor. Finally, worst of all, within 24 hours of checking in, we lost all connections with the hotel's UNSECURE WiFi. I can't remember the last time I stayed in a hotel with an unsecure WiFI, and I can't remember the last time I stayed in a hotel with an unreliable WiFi. Again, some great features, but we probably won't be coming back.

Wonderful location I enjoyed Great view of view port. Convient to metro access, and easy to walk to le panier and vieille charité. Fantastic bar - enjoyed breakfast and evening drink. Friendly staff- very helpful, great service. Really enjoyed Marseilles.

We have never been to Marseille, so this small family hotel came as a very pleasant surprise. We cannot fault the food, the staff, location and the cleanliness. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return. The bar was always full of interesting people and we were delighted by the jazz evening.

Very cute hotel that’s well priced and affordable and in a fantastic location - couldn’t be more central. Friendly staff, great views, lovely bar and restaurant. Room was by no means big but had all we needed and a lovely view of the port. Also nice and. Lean. Top marks all round

Great hotel for a stay in Marseille. Really good location in the old port - 250 metres from the metro and right amongst shops and bars. We arrived by train and it was only a 5 minute taxi ride away (cost 8 euros). Staff were great. We booked a superior room with a view of the old port and the view was amazing - good double glazing meant the room was quiet. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was really good. The hotel bar was great - lovely atmosphere and fun staff and the 1st floor balcony gave you a great view of the port. The breakfast was very good too. Very happy to recommend this hotel.
