Exactly what I was looking for, I will stay there again on my way back

This place is very basic and I feel like I overpaid given my experience. First it is close enough to a dance club that you can hear the music and patrons. In my case that was until 5:15 am when I got up for an early morning train. The shower is handheld and not mounted to the wall so it is a bit like bathing with a hose. No working elevator and the stairs were not built evenly so walking up and down them risks a fall or turned ankle. The thing this place has going for it is it’s proximity to the marina and it is a reasonable walk from the train station.

Very good location. A few steps to the Vieux Port. The room is very very small and no elevator. Noisy at night because there is a bar nearby.

Very safe hotel, the front desk guy is very nice, giving people a warm home feeling. Live on the 4th floor, the soundproofing is pretty good. After all, it is a budget hotel, which is pretty good. It's just a stone's throw away from the Old Port and the pedestrian street. I will come again next time I have the chance.

I forgot to write that there are many inexpensive breakfast cafes around, as well as several grocery stores (at first we booked for 2 nights, but realized that this would not be enough, so there are two reviews :))

這是臨時訂的房間，原來的到店被商家故意換了差房，不住了換的這家。價格不便宜，但是很老，鑰匙打不開房門，枕巾皺巴巴的像是被人用過的，還很悶，不好。唯一就是離老港跟近，服務態度還可以。性價比不高

Scary.....Not worth staying even been in a great location. Arrived 29th May 25 for 3 nights. Staff at reception very nice....Proceeded to 5th floor and dropped bags and went for dinner close buy on return about 11pm we found, Toilet seat broke, toilet flush broke and left on a shelf, no holder for shower hose over bath, bath screen not fit for purpose water out on floor, cable from TV wrapped around narrow table to prevent it from falling out i guess, glass so dirty the only way you are looking out is to open window, not safe when open as window opens fully and no protection from 5th floor, lift worked once and a alot of steps before port. Stayed the first night and the following morning reported problems to the same guy at reception. Later that evening we returned at 5pm and was told things would get fixed the next day at 12 noon, but we would need to be there and wait while everything was done. Went to room gathered our things and left. We walked a short distance to the HOTEL BEAUVAU and it cost extra but worth every penny for our last 2 nights. We have visited Marseille 5 time in the last 12 months and love the place, pity Hotel De Sud been in such a great location could not step up to the mark.

Recently stayed here at 50Euro per night, The hotel is located a stone's throw away from Vieux-Port in a side street, hence giving you access to town centre, the metro. With a tiny and almost hidden entrance the hotel, its easy to miss. From the rooms you can hear the hustle and bustle even at night however I like this kind of sound and slept with the windows open. The staff were absolutely fantastic (thanks to the 2 gentlemen and 1 lady) and was manned 24 hours per day. The rooms itself are small and quite basic, and not suited to families, but for single or couples looking for a place to stay. You would consider this a budget hotel without any luxuries at 50 Euro at night, id say its fair value. Thanks for the great stay, staff and location made it great

VERY dirty hotel, 1 cm of dust under the bed, on the windows, on the towel dryer; let's not even talk about the state of the fan! lukewarm water and no pressure in the jet. impossible to get reimbursed, receptionist in bad faith by saying that the hotel is CLEAN, ended up admitting that it is dirty and that the lady of the room should not have come the day before. suffice to say that given the condition it was not just the day before that she did not come. Stained bedding. HS elevator for a very long time. This hotel in no way deserves its two stars! It's a SHAME. I'll let you judge for yourself with the supporting photos,

A hotel that doesn't even deserve a single star! Air conditioning for the sole reception, nothing in the rooms apart from unbearable and unexplained odors, perhaps the absence of follow-up cleaning, cleanliness of the walls and the bathroom, unless they come from the curtains of the century last, double curtains only, no curtains for the day. The cramped conditions of the room did not allow us to spread the suitcase on the floor! A thickness of mattress for newborn bed. Reception without warmth or pleasure, an entrance made up of stairs without an elevator up to the first floor, place of the famous air-conditioned reception, an elevator for just one person with a suitcase, the latter was vandalized on our first evening, which left us forced to go down the 5 floors on foot with our suitcases! Vandalized by a customer unhappy with not being able to sleep because of the discotheque under the windows... excessive but rather logical, right? I do not condone violence, nor do I condone false advertising. An address to be excluded from all hotel sites, an establishment that should be closed for unsanitary conditions and to top it off, the boss asked me for €114 for one night (for two people while the rate behind the door was €93 in high season!) to the lopsided fan whose front side sat on the worn carpet. Should I tell you about the television as big as a 14-inch computer screen... no point, flee to real star hotels that don't lie about the services. Beware of comments full of spelling mistakes, they are made up by management... A shame for the city of the Good Mother, a shame and perjury.

Avoid because the managers explained to us every day that the repairs had to be done during the day... What a day???
