This is the worst hotel in Japan.
I would like to buy a new suitcase and asked the reception about handling my old suitcase. They told me they don’t provide a service for disposing of old suitcases, which I understand, but I am very disappointed by their unwillingness to help. I wanted to solve this problem, so I asked them how they handle suitcases when someone wants to buy a new one or how they manage large rubbish in daily life. However, they refused to answer me due to a language barrier. They simply ignored me until I asked the next question. I wanted to speak with a manager (I wanted to find someone who could assist me), but they refused again and claimed that this was approved by their manager, Kondo.
I asked them to help me call “Donki” to see if they could assist, but they searched online without calling and claimed that it wasn’t available. I suggested they try to call, but they refused to help again. I ended up walking to Donki myself. If they could have assisted me with the call, I wouldn’t have wasted my time. I then asked them what I could do now. They just looked at me and did nothing—no speaking, no help—seeming to wait for me to leave the counter.
Without their assistance, I tried to search for this information online and found that the city hall can handle old suitcases and large rubbish. What I want to convey is that I understand different hotels have different policies; however, their unwillingness to help makes them the worst hotel in Japan. They never said sorry or offered any assistance in this situation. The hotel location is good, but don’t expect the staff to help you when you encounter a problem.
