The hotel is located in Rowsley, near Chatsworth House and Bakewell. The service was great, and the room was clean and cozy. I would be more appreciated if they can provide bottled water and dental kit for the future stay.

We had to wait for a long time for staff to attend to us at the reception for check in, he kept serving the bar and taking drinks order, he served at least 5 various customers before finally coming over to give us our key which only took 1 minute of his time. This gave our visit a really unpleasant start. All others are ok, except the bed is really hot and the fan couldn’t cool us down (this is after the heatwave had ended).

I reserved a room at this place in this small town solely because I wanted to leave my luggage at the hotel in the morning so I can visit the Chatsworth House freely but the morning staff refused to take my luggage so I had to drag the heavy luggage changing buses to Chatsworth.
In the afternoon when I asked about this matter, the staff in the afternoon said leaving my luggage was possible and wondered why the morning staff refused to accept it.
I think what the morning staff did was clearly discrimination and hatred towards Asian travelers like me.
Also this place has a bar and a restaurant which were pretty noisy until quite late. So if you want a quiet place to relax, think twice.
The room was very clean and organized but the hair dryer and the shampoo dispenser were broken.
The evening staff tried to help but they seemed very busy taking care of the inn, the bar, and the restaurant at the same time.
It was the most unpleasant experience of my life.

Stayed here twice now and once before in the campsite… always a lovely place to stay for a quiet getaway. Clean tidy and comfortable. Staff are always friendly and welcoming.

I was incredibly satisfied. This is the best value hotel I've stayed in the UK. Even though it's near the manor, there's a restaurant on the first floor, making it very convenient for dining. The front desk was also very friendly, and the dinner was quite good. There's also an RV park next to the hotel. If you get off at Sheffield, take bus 218 back past Darcy Manor, then transfer to bus 6 or 1, which takes seven minutes. Remember to walk a few minutes further and cross a small bridge to get there, as navigation isn't always accurate. The local bus is just like a taxi. I originally wanted a taxi to the hotel, but an Uber was £138, which wasn't worth it, so I just took the bus. The scenery along the way was stunning, and it was a wonderful trip.
