Ohashikan

Matsue|0.72km from Kounkaku
One of the best decisions we made during our recent trip to Japan was staying at the Ohashikan. We stayed in a standard room overlooking the Ohashi River. The room was large and quiet. The futon beds were placed on top of foam mattresses and were very comfortable. The wifi was very good. The staff, especially James, were friendly and very helpful. Ohashikan has an excellent location. It is a ten minute or so walk to the Matsue Castle and the Castle area which includes Lafcadio Hearn’s Residence and Museum, and a longer walk in the other direction to the center of town and the railroad station. On the first night we dined at the hotel’s restaurant. The Japanese food was wonderful. Even if you don’t stay at the hotel go to the restaurant and enjoy the food at Shosuitei. We opted for the western breakfast which was also excellent, The hotel recently started a bar and grill, The Willows, on the 2nd floor with a long bar overlooking the river with James as the bartender/host. He offers specialty cocktails and superb Japanese whiskies. Its hours were Tuesday to Saturday from 5:30 to 10 pm when we stayed at the hotel. In addition to the local sites, if you have time, take a day trip by train to the Adachi Museum of Art in Yasugi with its garden. When you exit the Yasugi train station there is a free shuttle bus that takes you to the museum. If you travel to Matsue a stay at the Ohashikan is highly recommended. It will help make you visit a very special experience.

Notsu Ryokan

Matsue|1.17km from Kounkaku
It is far from the Shinji Lake Onsen and is on the opposite shore of the river, but it is said that it is pulling the Shinji Lake Onsen. Sodium calcium - sulfate chloride spring. It was a small and clean and calm inn. The bath faces the road and when you stand up in the open air, the upper body will be rounded. It is located along the river connecting Nakakai and Lake Hodo, and the hot spring town on the opposite shore is also far away, and it is not bad for the city. I received 1 sake and rice as a guest service product by the original policy of Shimane Prefecture. Mineral water was on the room separately. No, thank you, but at the beginning of the trip, this is ... laughter I'm going to drink sake tomorrow, but I'm going to do rice ... laughter I think tourists come by car, Shimane prefectural staff. Dinner. White drinks are non-alcoholic shijimi extract. Oh, don't drink as much as you can! Laughs The front tower is a appetizer that imitates kariko soba. When you open it, it seems to be good from the appearance of the jewel box and ~, but it is actually good. If this is enough, this is enough. Sashimi is edged and fresh. Is it ok for pottery plate grilling? The sardine is very good. It is trotro. It comes out at the end of the day, so it is full of stomach. The dessert is matcha zenzai style. It is Shimane, so it is zenzai. Breakfast is simple and simple. But the taste is good. The pottery plate is made of miso of cherry blossoms and tofu. This inn, anyway, the rice was good.

Songjiang's hotel is not generally more, and it is difficult to choose this one. The room is not bad. The bathroom is a bit small. Although it is a hot spring. But it can't be used well. Some pity

The room is old, but the cospa is good considering that there is a hot spring including breakfast. You can barely see Lake Shinji from the room. The location is also within walking distance of both Matsue Castle and Lake Shinji. The parking lot is free and they will send you to the station in the morning. The only elderly male staff at the front desk is unfriendly and does not reply easily. Well, it's a hotel of this level, so it can't be helped if you think of it as a clerical staff, but it's a pity that other staff are doing their best. I think it's good just to sleep for sightseeing and business.

The front desk staff was cheerful and kind, and when I asked for a taxi from the room, I arranged it immediately and contacted me. The hardness of the bed was just right, so it was good to sleep well.
Dormy Inn Express Matsue

It is a dome inn, but it is a brand called express, and it seems to correspond to day youth. And there is no public bath here. Is it an existing hotel? It is good to be cheap, but Matsue on this day has a mysterious crowding. I don't know what, but there are many places where the inn is expensive and sold out. The restaurant at the station was full. Sometimes, there is a mystery that only ”this town of this day” is crowded, and the accommodation fee is set to a high price. I sometimes check if there is an event, but I don't know. The breakfast venue was narrow and the space was cheap, but there was a dome inn such as a small bowl buffet. Soba is Izumo soba, which is warm soba, but if you choose a cold one, you will be offered by a cherry blossom. I think it is a good bijiho breakfast. It was good. Dome Inn has good breakfast.

The Wi-Fi speed was fast and a large air cleaner was installed in the room. The futon was caught in the middle of the day and was comfortable. The futon, room, bath, and all were kept clean and cozy. The open-air bath had a key locker, with various makeup water and emulsions. The dryer was very powerful and the floor was clean. The open-air bath was a bit small, but it was very nice. The hot springs warmed up and the skin was very moist. Breakfast buffet is the best. I went at 7, but I was able to spend it slowly. 8 It was crowded before, so it might be better to come before that. There is no convenience store near the hotel. The shop in the hotel is not so good, but the matcha ice cream here was very delicious. I want to eat again. The price is a bit high, but I was able to spend a good time. I think I received a service that was suitable for the price.

It was unusual for me to take off my shoes before entering, but I was glad that it was clean. It felt especially good indoors. All breakfasts were delicious and satisfying. In particular, I would like to thank you for preparing the tempura in front of me. And with a smile. The good thing about the massage device in front of the bath. Of course, there is nothing bad about hot springs! Thank you for staying with us. We ate out for dinner, and the fish was delicious, the food was delicious, and the staff at the restaurant had great smiles (it's a restaurant called Murakumo). It's hard to find anything bad about this restaurant. I fell in love with Shimane on this trip.
