"While we experienced some wonderful hotels in Japan, this was our favorite. First of all the island of Shikoku was wonderful, mountainous, green and with very few Western tourists. Our waiter who was fluent in English said they only get a few Americans a year at the hotel. So wonderful contemporary architecture. Only 7 rooms, ours was very large, great views. The pool was for some reason off limits, but more than made up for with the private onsen in our room. Staff were uniformly helpful and warm. Meals were very high quality and I will include a couple photos of menu and a dish. I really enjoyed the lounge above the restaurant to have a drink in and enjoy some music before dinner. Yes the hotel is showing some wear and tear but it does little to detract from the experience which was magical. Highly recommend hiking portions of the very long temple to temple trail - we ended up with a guide/driver which was helpful."

"Location is fantastic just beside the Dogo Onsen Honkan. I would argue the public bath at the hotel is even better than Dogo Onsen. Comfortable room with massage chair inside. The only minor complaint is that they put me in a room close to the elevator despite specifically requesting for a room away from the elevator during booking. I guess they were full and couldn't accommodate my request."

"Good Location. Near shopping and long distance bus stops. Clean and looks like a higher end of Japanese business hotel. Love the bathroom which is bigger than normal. Only thing is the room has a bad smell when I first entered. I need to open the window and returned after an hour to let the room air. I noted later that there are 2 other similar reviews on the smell. Nevertheless will consider this hotel chain in future for other cities."

"My stay there with my dog was rather pleasant. There was a beach in front of it, not so wide but still you could walk down and play with your pet no problem. Staffs were very kind and helped with all the inquiries. Just hope they have their own playground for pet with a fence somewhere in the hotel property. That would make this hotel top notch. Also there were no shuttles to Dogo onsen or Gongen onsen. That issue should be handled and resolved. I has stayed there for 10 days and wow! It was great!"
