Such a wonderful place, so good we’ve booked our Winter 2025 stay here already. From the moment we arrived we have had nothing to worry about: this hotel has all the necessities you may ever need including the ski room to store your equipment overnight, luggage storage room with personal lockers and fantastic spa facilities. We were greeted with a welcome drink and were shown to our room shortly. We got to choose our dinner meals from a range of options on the daily menu every morning. Additional afternoon snack from 3-5pm daily was included in our half-board package which was a lovely surprise. Spa was one of the best I’ve experienced in the Austrian hotels. Spanning across a relatively large area (we never felt crammed) they have a sauna, a steam room, swimming pool and 2 jacuzzis (one inside and one outside). We quite liked the outside one; paired with the view over the mountains and the Penkenbahn cable cars - hands down best thing after a long day on the slopes. Hotel has a ski bus stop right outside so you won’t have to walk far. When returning back from the slopes we at times would choose walking back to the hotel (7-10 minutes max) as opposed to waiting for a ski bus. Staff has made sure we had the most relaxing week. All in all 10/10 experience!

Just returned from our annual trip with a group of good friends. It’s our 8th annual visit and we wouldn’t contemplate staying anywhere else in Mayrhofen. Excellent standard of accommodation, very friendly staff, fabulous spa and great food (both breakfast and dinner). 10 minute stroll to Penken lift but hire your kit from Ian in Rentforfun opposite the lift and you can leave all of your kit there overnight. And make sure you visit Bruck at the top of the village for some top notch apres ski. We are already looking forward to our 2025 trip to the Elisabeth.

WOW - what an amazing hotel . We have just come back from a week staying at The Elisabeth Hotel. The rooms were perfect, so well designed and gorgeous colours . Such a comfy bed and the bathrooms were so high quality. The whole team of staff were so friendly and accommodating, special thanks to Juilanna and Balange, incredible customer service and a real credit to your hotel. The communal areas of the hotel were again beautifully decorated and comfortable full of little areas to sit and as for the most incredible swimming pool and Spa area I have ever seen. The huge outside hot tub was fabulous as well . We were half board so had the very filling breakfast with a huge choice of food and the chef cooking eggs to order . Evening meals had an excellent choice and the standard of food was very high quality . We can't wait to come back next year for another weeks ski holiday - Thank you for a wonderful holiday

Lovely hotel, but….. 3 Euros for tap water at dinner….seriously ??? This is a first world country FGS! And charging for tea and water at tea time when the tables are groaning with food??? The rooms and the food are excellent, the spa is superb (free water!!) but if they stopped some of the petty charging this review would have been five stars.

Absolutely beautiful hotel! Has every thing it says on the website and in the main the food was exceptional. However let down by the fact the hotel lets a group of 25+ British yobs stay at the hotel. They were loud, vulgar and swearing in the communal areas and spa area. The hotel is sold as a luxury spa retreat…. It was until the hotel allowed the above group in. It took it from a five star luxury retreat to a one star Benidorm booze cruise.

We stayed as a couple at the Hotel Elizabeth over the Christmas week from the 20-27 December 2021. It was easily one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at and was the perfect place to spend our Christmas in Mayrhofen. The hotel is conveniently located around the corner from the main street. The gondola is about an 8-10 minute walk up the street, but the free ski bus, which comes every 15 minutes and gets to the gondola in around 2 minutes, stops directly outside the hotel. There is also a convenient ski storage room in the hotel. The hotel hits the right balance between a modern, elegant design while maintaining a traditional Alpine theme. There is a lovely lounge/bar area which is ideal for relaxing with a drink after a day of skiing or after dinner. The room was immaculately presented in a spacious and modern design, with a large king-sized bed, large bathtub, walk-in wardrobe with plenty of hangers and storage, rain shower, 2 sinks, sofa and chair, separate bathroom, and large private terrace balcony. The room was cleaned daily which included new towels. We cannot fault the room in any way - it was simply outstanding. The food was excellent. Evening meals consisted of ~5 courses, including excellent vegetarian/vegan options every evening. The evening meal on Christmas Eve was especially good. The service was always outstanding and staff are highly attentive. Breakfast included a good choice of salads, meats, cheeses, cereals, yogurts and breads, as well as sausages, bacon, eggs, tomatoes and the option of a made-to-order omelette. There was also coffee, juices, and Prosecco. The spa area is serene and ideal for relaxing after a day of skiing. There is a large pool, hot tub, and ~8 different types of sauna/steam room, including a salt steam room and aroma steam room. On Christmas Eve the hotel staff held a lovely evening reception which included a piano player and Christmas carols. Overall our stay at the Hotel Elisabeth was simply outstanding and we would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a modern hotel with excellent spa facilities and food with easy access to the town and ski area. - Jones party

The facilities we really top tier. We booked half board and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the meals, plus the "snack" which practically made it a full board experience. The spa facilities are one of the best that I've been to, particularly the indoor and outdoor jacuzzis. Unfortunately, I had left my airpods in my robe and that robe was taken from my room by the cleaners. When asking the reception desk to support, the man working at the from desk was extremely rude. Instead of being understanding, he was aggressively adamant that his staff members weren't thieves (which I didn't accuse them of being). Whenever he saw me for the remainder of my stay, he avoided communication. This lack of hospitality ruined my experience with the hotel and I will not be returning.

We really appreciated being upgraded to lovely rooms in the modern wing, each room had large comfortable beds, lounge are, large balcony, great storage and well designed bathroom with high quality fixtures and fittings throughout. The Spa was well used by our family, large indoor pool at a comfortable temperature, indoor & outdoor hot tubs, multiple other rooms and treatments available. During our weeks stay, all the staff were very friendly, professional and accommodating. The ‘Adults Only’ feature was definitely beneficial in creating a relaxed ambiance during February school holiday week.

This adults-only spa hotel is absolutely fabulous and comes very highly recommended. I've been going for a few years now, and it's been a pleasure every time. The delicious food, beautiful spa, friendly staff and spacious and comfortable rooms, everything is perfect and has been so consistently. They are also regularly making updates, every year I've gone to the hotel something new has been added, most recently an outdoor jacuzzi in the spa area. The hotel is also a short walking distance to the Penkenbahn gondola and the train station for getting up to the Hintertux Glacier. My advice: treat yourself, stay in the Elisabeth.
