Second time we stay at Casa Lulu and always a great experience. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean, and very attentive. If you want to enjoy Mazatlan and be in the quiet side of it. Casa Lulu is definitely the place to stay for your trip.

Customer service is horrible, the towels were all spots and old . Been inside it was worse than been outside in the heat . They check your room in case you still 😂😂. Overall I will not recommend this hotel .

I stay at casa lulu everytime I come to Mazatlan. The hotel has an amazing design, people are very nice and friendly, the pool and views are great! There aren’t really any other places in Mazatlan that have this vibe. It’s become one of my favorite hidden gems in Mazatlan. 10/10

Casa Lulu was recommended to us by our lovely photographer, we knew it was meant to be as it was only a 5 minute drive from the Plazuela Machado (where our wedding was held) and around the corner from the home I grew up in! The views, common areas, and pool were incredible. From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff was friendly and attentive, starting with hotel manager Maria Carla, and her team Ramiro, Liz, and Flor! We enjoyed getting to know them and learning about the hotel so much! On the day of our wedding Casa Lulu was so amazing and accommodating, they helped me and my wedding party have the best day ever! I will forever be thankful for how they handled everyone's breakfasts, arranged for a waiter to accompany us that day, handled an outside catering order, and the best part of all... our room was serviced again while we celebrated! We loved coming back to our room looking amazing after a crazy day! We will definitely be coming back to Casa Lulu on our next visit, my husband called it home away from home.

CHECK-IN PROCESS: Check-in time is 3:00 p.m., and although the hotel was not busy (only one other couple arrived after me), we did not get to our room until 3:20 p.m. and then only to find the room floor had not been adequately cleaned and was sticky from something foreign on the surface. A staff member rewashed the floor while we waited outside the room for it to dry. We finally checked into our room at 4:00 p.m. COURTESY COMPENSATION: None was forthcoming, so we asked for it. The manager provided us with two courtesy margaritas while we waited for our room and late checkout the next day. PRIVACY: The layout of the hotel is “L-shaped,” with the lengthwise part of the “L” facing northward; it’s a common area with tables and chairs inside and outside on the patio area. The base of the “L” faces west to the ocean, and the rooms are on that side, with the pool area directly below. Our room was in the corner of the “L,” so we could not open our blinds. BATHROOMS: Tiny. Not a spa experience. A significant issue with the shower was water pouring out from under the shower door and onto the bathroom floor, and this required using the shower mat and towels to stop the flow. Now, where to put the wet materials? TOWELS: When we asked for clean towels in the morning, a staff member told us there were none (something about them being in the laundry). Sometime later in the morning, we did get some, though. BREAKFAST: The breakfast start time was supposed to be 8:30 a.m., and it was no

The hotel advertises itself as a luxury boutique hotel. Boutique for sure, but not luxury. The hotel is stunning but falls short in too many ways. We stayed in the large Sunset Suite, with wall to wall windows on 2 sides. The windows were dirty when we arrived and dirtier when we left 3 weeks later. This hotel charges a hefty room rate for what you get. If you are looking for a boutique hotel we would highly recommend Hotel Raices de Mar located on the wonderful Plazuela Machado. The pool was not maintained properly. The water was green with algae growing on the inside walls & outside walls where the water flowed over the edge. This algae had been collecting for some time, it didn't just appear. We questioned the maintenance a number of times & finally after nearly 2 weeks, the pool got attention. The outside walls were cleaned and chemicals were added to the water which did help but the pool never was totally free of algae. We Googled "Algae in a Pool" & algae isn't a big problem but the bacteria that feeds on the algae IS a problem. You can develop swimmers itch & also a skin rash. The hotel is located on a busy street called Zaragoza which also connects, one block away, to the even busier main artery between the Gold Zone & the Centro Historico. At night & especially on weekends it is unbearably noisy with music blasting from the touristo vehicle & motorcycles so loud your eardrums will take a beating. And that is before they backfire. This noise goes on till at least 1 am. If you do stay at Casa Lulu, consider staying in a room without a view which is more protected from the noise. What was good with the hotel: - Appearance, Friendly staff, Great Breakfasts, Proximity to Centro Historico & Comfortable Bed What wasn't good with the hotel: - A room rate that was far too high for what you get, Extremely noisy location, Too many promises from staff that didn't materialize or were just disregarded. Empty promises, Towels, although clean were stained or ripped, Substandard bed linens that didn't fit the bed properly, Room cleaning - just adequate. Our bed linens changed every 7 days, and No room safes

We were there for 2 nights. The day we arrived we opened the shower and no water came out. We could not even use the toilet because we could not flush it. We had to go to drive to a restaurant to be able to go to the bathroom. We ended up going to our Christmas dinner without being able to shower. When we got back to the hotel they had already reestablished the water system. But on our last day, I was showering, and in the middle of my shower, water stopped flowing. I had to leave the hotel with shampoo all over my head because I couldn't rinse. We told the person in charge about the situation and she said to write them an email with our comments because she could not do anything about it. They never contacted me to apologize or try to make up for their terrible service. Bottom line, the hotel is absurdly overpriced and the service they offer is unacceptable.

Casa Lulu has a great location and very friendly staff. Ramiro, Flor, Elizabeth, Yamileth and Lizeth do an excellent teamwork. Rooms are great with splendid seaviews. The breakfast is fresh and good to start the day. A short walk away is the old town with à LOT of colonial buildings. The walk along the seside is just amzing. Bring your own bar.
