We had a very positive experience with Hertz during our trip through Italy. After having problems with another rental company at Milan Airport, we ended up waiting a couple of hours before getting a car from Hertz. It was definitely worth the wait.
We were initially given a BYD, which we drove to Lake Garda and used for a day trip to Verona. Unfortunately, the car developed a problem while we were there. We visited a Hertz location in Verona, and the staff were excellent. They quickly identified the issue and arranged a replacement car without any fuss. We were given a Skoda, which was fantastic and served us perfectly for the rest of the trip.
The cars were clean and in good condition, and the pickup, replacement and final return were all handled smoothly. Most importantly, when something went wrong, Hertz dealt with it quickly and professionally.
Overall, a great experience, especially considering the challenges of renting a car in Italy. I would happily use Hertz again.
