Very nice clean stylish hotel, ideal location especially if you need to go to the bus station. I liked almost everything. It is clear that the management of the hotel is approached with love and great attention.
The downside is that upon check-out, instead of returning the $25 deposit, on the contrary, they deducted an additional $65. After a letter to the support service they fixed it, but there was still a residue.

The hotel & property are beautiful, but a little dated. The bathroom didnt have an exhaust fan, so it stayed warm & humid for hours after use. The hotel staff was very friendly, but no one seemed to man the bar and no extra pillows were available.

The hotel is beautiful and has some history. The staff was super friendly and the rooms were clean. The bed was super comfortable. It was a great location. The only two issues were that the room smelled old and musty and the water did not get hot.

Lobby and entrance is nice. Room was clean, the issue I had the carpet is old and dirty. We also noticed air vents are very dirty inside. I was getting sick I had to buy medicine for cold symptoms. We almost didn't go to the wedding because of how My sister and I were feeling. We turned off the AC and we a little better. It was disclosed when I booked that there is a $100 deposit "for incidents " and you won't get it back until 7-14 days after check out. I won't stay there again.

I’ll start with the good stuff: Great location, if you are visiting McAllen you should
consider this property. Staff is very nice, bartenders are great, as a side bar the coffee place across the street is great. Things I didn’t like: Housekeeping is on demand only but they only give you two towels. Housekeeping service was poor (we found old clothes from a prior guest between the bed and nightstand) and the doors to the parking garage would always get stuck. Also there is a lot of glass in the parking garage. The restaurant is okay but there are much better options close by. Maybe we were just too nice about everything, we didn’t really complain since it was the holidays. The rooms are kind of small but if you are there for business this property would be a solid choice.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. It is a beautiful hotel, hacienda style with an elevated feel. But the actual room felt like a cheap hotel room. The odor of the room and hallway was musty and sewage smell. We had to leave our window open our entire stay due to the smell. The room was dirty. There was an old pizza slice and water in the fridge. The bathroom had so much hair everywhere where it looked like someone had shaved in the shower and the walls weren’t cleaned or the sink. So the common area was a five star hotel feel and the room was like the cheapest dirtiest hotel. I was so excited for our stay but I actually debated leaving after our first night stay.

Property has an old Spanish mission look. Areas of the property seem rundown and could use a pick me up. Like walls and painting. Worn stucco. Other than that the property is nice and spacious.
