The staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed here about a dozen times in the past year and it has always been a pleasant stay. Many guests are from Mexico and most of the staff are fluent in Spanish.
There is a complementary breakfast buffet that offers a large number of options. In the evening the restaurant and bar offer a variety of entrees, both American and Mexican.
Families enjoy the pool and grounds which border on a golf course. The largest shopping mall in McAllen is within walking distance and there are eight or ten family restaurants in and around the mall and several sports bars. The "Old Town" entertainment district of McAllen is about a ten minute drive.
The McAllen airport is a mile away and the hotel shuttle takes guests to the airport.
It is an ideal hotel for families visiting McAllen.

When I got there, there was kind of issue with the electricity in the building or their system to check people in was down. I couldn't check in so I had to go stay elsewhere.

The property felt dirty, the rooms are very humid, the beds are extremely uncomfortable, the AC in the room was not working properly. Was my first and last time.

It's a fine place to stay in McAllen, near to the shops, but away from the crowd. I would like to extend the sundays breakfast, at least another 30 minutes.

Felt harassed by a staff member and when telling management they didn’t believe me or want to refund me my stay. Horrible customer service. Made me feel like i was making up false accusations and didn’t want to review the camera footage. I do not recommend this hotel.
