Hotels in Dongpo District, Meishan

The facilities are new and well-maintained, and the hygiene is excellent. The environment is smartly designed and practical. The service is friendly, and overall, my experience during the holiday exceeded my expectations.

The rooms in the hotel are spacious and bright, and the facilities are relatively complete. There is free parking, free WIFI, good air conditioning, 24-hour hot water, etc. The store's service attitude is also very good, recommended!

Facilities: The air conditioning cools quickly, the room facilities are complete, and the bedding is excellent and very comfortable. Cleanliness: The hygiene is good, and the room is clean. Environment: Right outside the door is a park, so the environment is quite nice. Service: The service is excellent.

The service is very good and the environment is great, but I didn't have enough time to walk around the hotel. The hotel is very close to the water street, just a few minutes walk along the river. I feel very good about this stay. I hope the hotel will get better and better, and I will have the opportunity to come to the hotel again next time.

The room overlooks the waterfront street with a nice night view, but it was a bit quiet, perhaps because it wasn't the weekend. There's a large indoor parking lot, the receptionist was helpful, the breakfast was plentiful, and there are many restaurants nearby. It's not far from Yuanjing Tower and the Wetland Park. Transportation is convenient. They even gave us a gift bag upon check-out, thumbs up!

The room was spacious enough, with its own courtyard, quiet and comfortable. It's located near Water Street, making it convenient for commuting. Across from the hotel is a large park with excellent air quality, perfect for walking and exercising! The hotel also has a clean underground parking lot. There's also a Dongpo Restaurant nearby, serving authentic Sichuan cuisine. Overall, it was a wonderful experience! Xiao Xu drove us to the high-speed rail station in his Mercedes-Benz, and Xiao Wang was also a big thank you. 😊

The front desk staff was very welcoming and polite and upgraded the room. The room was large, clean, and well-equipped. Although it's an old government hotel, everything is new inside. Parking is convenient inside the courtyard. The hotel is near the bustling pedestrian street in the city center and not far from the Su San Temple. There are slippers and toothbrushes available in the corridor. The breakfast is rich in variety and includes local snacks. It is highly recommended and deserves a five-star rating.

We stayed in Meishan for a week for a sporting event. The hotel has clearly seen better days—especially compared to many newer properties in the area (aging lifts, worn carpets, etc.). We chose it mainly for three reasons: breakfast, gym/pool, and laundry facilities. 1. Breakfast The daily buffet was solid and met expectations. It featured a typical Chinese spread: hot stir-fried dishes, vegetables, meats, buns, dumplings, fried rice/noodles, porridge, plus a live station for dan dan noodles, eggs, and simple meats like sausage or ham. There was also a rotating Chinese dessert (e.g., red date with longan, green bean soup), along with some Western options like salad greens, yogurt, bread, cake, and fresh fruit. Since we stayed a full week, we appreciated the small variations. That said, we were surprised by the limited fruit selection—mainly oranges and watermelon—especially given the abundance of fresh fruit available locally. Breakfast vouchers are issued daily and must be presented before dining. 2. Gym & Pool This was the biggest disappointment. Both the gym and pool were completely closed, and the entire floor was gutted with no visible renovation activity. It looks like these facilities have been—and will be—out of service for quite some time. This was a major letdown, as it was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. 3. Laundry There is only one washer and one dryer for the entire building. We were concerned about availability, but only had to wait once. The 15-minute wash cycle helps with turnover. However, the dryer takes a long time and unfortunately shrunk all my cotton clothing. I’d recommend partially drying cotton items and then air-drying them in your room. Package Perks We booked through Trip.com, which included a small daily package: a plate with two oranges and some snacks, complimentary coffee or tea in the lobby, and a free transfer to the high-speed rail station (must be booked at the front desk one day in advance). There were also canned sodas included, which we didn’t use. Room & Noise We were initially assigned a room facing the plaza, which was very noisy. After requesting a change, we were first told the hotel was sold out—but after some persistence, a park-facing room was “found.” This room was significantly better: quiet, bright, and pleasant, with birdsong in the morning. We were told these were actually an upgrade, and that road-facing rooms are even worse due to constant traffic noise. 4. Smart Room Features (“Xiao Du”) We did enjoy the smart room system—“Xiao Du,” which works similarly to Alexa. It can control the curtains, TV, room temperature, and lighting, which is a nice modern touch. However, it was also a bit frustrating at times—for example, it would automatically turn off the lights in the bathroom sink area. The lighting there is already quite dim and not ideal for doing makeup. It would be helpful if the hotel could improve lighting around the mirror (brighter bulbs would make a big difference), or even better, install a mirror by the writing desk near the window where there is natural light. Smoking Smoking is allowed in the hotel, and we did notice it in the lobby, elevators, and corridors. Thankfully, our room itself was fine. Housekeeping turns off the AC and opens windows when cleaning, which seems to help ventilate lingering smoke. Location & Surroundings The hotel is in a convenient area. A nearby park is lovely, with traditional structures and inscriptions related to the Su family. Within a short walk is a lively commercial plaza with restaurants, bubble tea shops, salons (I tried a newly opened nail salon), and more. Getting around via Didi is easy. Overall For the price, the hotel offers decent value. However, the closed fitness facilities were a major downside. If we return, we’d likely try a newer hotel—but this one works if you prioritize cost and location over amenities.

This stay was extremely satisfactory and deserves a five-star rating. The hotel's shuttle service from the high-speed rail station was very thoughtful; it can be arranged with advance booking, the driver was punctual and friendly, and proactively helped with luggage, making travel hassle-free and especially convenient for business travelers. The room was clean and tidy, with good natural light, comfortable bedding, and good soundproofing, ensuring a peaceful rest. Facilities were complete, toiletries were readily available, and the bathroom was dry and odor-free. The front desk service was warm and attentive, with efficient and quick check-in and check-out, and prompt responses to any questions. The overall environment was quiet and elegant, offering great value for money, with attentive details and heartwarming service, making it an excellent choice for travel accommodation. I will definitely consider it again next time and highly recommend it.

Hilton has never disappointed. As soon as I entered the lobby, I was attracted by its elegant decoration style. The self-service DIY beverage area and the book reading corner instantly made me relax. The front desk Xiao Ren was professional and enthusiastic. Not only did he check me in quickly, but he also solved my problem of issuing invoices. The surrounding area is very convenient for transportation. It is very close to the Sansu Wanda shopping circle and the tourist attraction Water Street. It only takes ten minutes to get there by taxi. The room is even more eye-catching. The space is spacious and bright, the bedding is clean and comfortable, and the mattress is the well-known brand ”Serta” with moderate hardness and softness. With blackout curtains, you can have a deep sleep every night. The hotel has rich supporting facilities, brand new gym equipment, and it is super convenient to open 24 hours a day. The breakfast area is even more surprising. In addition to regular bread and hot dishes, it also provides local snacks. The freshly cooked rice noodles are fresh and fragrant, which makes people have endless aftertaste. With considerate service and complete facilities, it is definitely the best choice for travel accommodation. Highly recommended!
