Terrible pillow cleanliness as photo attached. Smelly & very dirty pillow. Yellow spot ( which im very sure is air liur basi stain) every where. We asked to changed 3 pillows then they give new pillow with the same stain. 2 nd time asked to change pillow again & they gave us new pillows. This time no stains. Thanks to the housekeeping guy for helping us.

Quiet part of Melaka but still easily accessible to variety of eateries. Short walk to malls but if bring infant toddler, just take grab ride which is super cheap. Service is ok as room is cleaned promptly, water bottles, toothbrush replaced daily. Dispenser soap provided for shower, I brought own facial cleanser. No slippers. Tv only 4 Malaysia channel, no cable and YouTube. Wifi is ok for me, maybe morning when all guests using at same time is abit slow. Bedsheets are clean but carpet abit dusty. I have sensitive nose so kept sneezing when I first entered room. Swimming pool not large but at rooftop have nice view. Bar is nice to have just that music abit loud. I stay 5th floor can’t hear anything in room but you hear loud music when taking lift. Gym is small but have treadmill and couple of machines but both treadmill are spoilt. Overall still a good stay as price is affordable for family.

Room was okay for the price you pay. Don’t expect what you see in the pictures as the room is a bit more run down which is fine but could definitely be cleaner. Floors and certain surfaces were oily and bathtub faucet was not functioning properly. Other than that was okay especially for the price. But make sure you whatsapp the hotel number to let them know you are checking in that day and to find out where/how to check in at the building. Also, to avoid any check-in delays.

A beautiful and comfortable hotel with the price offered. Went there for a short weekend getaway with my family. Check-in and check-out was smooth. Thank you for the clean room.

Because of this hotel for the company rally. Novotel staff is awesome! I would like to thank Velicia from Accor Group and Pin Pin and team from Novotel Malacca. The staff, including the front desk, restaurant, logistics and ballroom staff, all always smile and approachable. They always do their best to meet our requirements. We were very satisfied with our stay here. Sincerely thank all the staff of Novotel Malacca.

Friendly staff. Easily access to Shopping Mall, attractions and restaurants. I love their International breakfast. The most important is the downstair is the bus pick up points which is very convenient.

Saw many recent comments that described the negative parts, so I was a bit hesitant to book at first. But I went ahead because it was the cheapest (26-27 Nov 2021) and it’s not located among the busiest parts of town. I came with my wife and two children – aged 9 and 4. Through Agoda (listed in TripAdvisor, obviously pfftt), I got the Superior Triple Room which had with it: - 1 king bed - 1 single bed - 1 sofa large / long enough for an adult person to sleep on. - free buffet breakfast for 3 pax All these + taxes + surcharges + fees on the end-of-Nov weekend = RM 292. RM 292!!! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please refer to my pictures for the descriptions below; --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Room --------- - it was clean; towels, mattresses, pillows, etc. all smelled nice too - TV worked fine – some free TV channels + radios; two USB ports can be used, no HDMI ports - aircond was good; its remote worked fine as well - shower was great; it was easy to adjust heat and cold shower - water pressure was strong; flush and bidet were in good conditions - balcony was windy and the river view was calming; the grill’s height was higher than standard, I’m 175cm and its top was above my navel. So, I think it’s quite safe even for children to lounge around for a few seconds - nighttime was quiet; we went to bed around 11.45 pm and there was nothing (happening) downstairs - toiletries and basic tea-coffee sets were aplenty; got clothing iron sans the board Hotel -------- - indoor pool was just down the hall; we went into the pool room didn’t take a dip, the size was decent for an indoor pool - all three lifts were operational and fast; even with the traffic of weekend tourists, we never had to wait for more than a minute - check-in process took roughly 3 minutes; check-out was less than 15 seconds - all the staffs were pleasant and helpful, no matter where I came across them - the single-entrance basement parking was free of charge and bright enough even at night with security guards; there were hundreds of parking bays, so no fuss about fighting for one - I don’t think it’s THAT far from the town because you just literally have to cross the bridge and you’re there. I timed it; it took me a whole 8 minutes from Riviera’s basement parking to reach Dataran Pahlawan / Imperial Heritage. If that’s far, just book Hatten then and Bob’s your uncle =) Restaurant --------------- - buffet breakfast was more than enough for RM15/pax (not that I had to pay for my son coz he’s 4 years old); many of the typical Malaysian heavy breakfast choices were there, like nasi lemak, fried kuétiau, fried noodles, fried mihun, white bread, and porridge + boiled eggs, hotdogs, condiments, etc. - food counters were easily accessible; tables are minimal inside the restaurant but there were a lot more outside (for both covered and open-air areas) - cutlery was clean

Booked a superior double for three nights with an average daily rate of RM68/night. The room looked decent equiped with basic things like hot shower, air-conditioned, hangers, a dressing table, complimentary drinks and a LED TV. This room is with a window but not for standard rooms. Since this hotel does not yave a lift, I chose the first floor. Anyway, there are only two floors. Peaking is free but you need to pay a fee if you want designated lot. What I like so much about this hotel was because it's just walking distance shopping malls such as Dataran Pahlawan and Mahkota Parade. You even take a slow walk to Jonker Street about 1.5 KM away. For food, there are plenty around. Tired feet and aching body? Walk across the road and get yourselves re-energized with good massage. In fact, there are such centres around. Overall, it's was an enjoyable stay for simple guy like me who just needs a pleasant stay, with no frills and those luxuries. Will definitely come back again.

Location is proximity to the two major malls (Dataran Palawan and Makota Parade). There’s also convenience store (7-11 and Family Mart l) beside the hotel. Many eateries and it’s also 3 mins walk to the famous Tong Sheng Chinese restaurant. Check-in was fast and staff were friendly. Complimentary wifi located on the sleeve of the keycard. Good security with guard on duty to lift lobby and key card to activate the desired floor in the lift. Corridor looks little dated and the wooden side skirting fell off at one section while I was walking to my room. Room is clean with lots of toiletries available (4 bottled water, 2 bedroom slippers, 2 toothbrush, vanity kit, shampoo & shower gel, conditioner, lotion, etc). There’s also a kitchenette but no utensils provided. Hotel is actually connected (walkway beside lift lobby) to Noble hotel (formally Novotel?) next door. TV is my room was not at its best condition (flickering) and limited channels (common Malaysian channels, S’pore channel 8, etc). The balcony door is locked for safety and security reason. Air-condition is split unit (non-central a/c) and temperature can be controlled. By the way, paid SGD36.62 excluding breakfast for a last minute deal, booked after 3pm on the check-in day. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay given the price paid.

After so long, return to this place. Still as usual located near by hapening place short distance to shopping mall, night market and jonker street. Hide behind a side lane and quite at night. Internal bit old but still maintain well. Not bad for short stay.
