The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne

An absolute perfection of a hotel! What impressed me most was the service—I've never experienced hospitality this thoughtful. We arrived early, and the front desk coordinated with housekeeping right away so we could check in as quickly as possible, even hours ahead of the standard check-in time. When I asked where the restroom was, instead of just pointing around the corner, a staff member walked me all the way there to make sure I found it. The restaurant service was equally flawless. Initially, we picked a table with a nice view that was a bit small. Since the serving plates were large, the staff proactively offered to move us to a spacious window table as soon as one opened up. The food tasted great, too, though the breakfast spread was on the limited side and might not cater well to those with a traditional Chinese palate. The only minor downside regarding the amenities is that the pool is somewhat small, and the gym equipment isn't fully comprehensive. The gym features a leg machine, a lat pulldown, a compact cable crossover machine, a set of dumbbells, treadmills, and a stair climber.

The views were stunning, and the service was wonderful. We had both breakfast and dinner at Atria on the 80th floor—the food looked great and tasted delicious. The location is fantastic: the famous Lune Croissanterie is right downstairs, Chinese restaurants are just a few steps away, and there's a Coles supermarket across the street. It's also within walking distance of Emporium and Melbourne Central for shopping. Popular family spots like the aquarium and Queen Victoria Market aren't far either, just a short cab ride away.

Seriously, I've never stayed at such a terrible hotel. The service attitude was bad and the hygiene was awful. It was truly horrible 👎. The general manager of this place should resign. I'll never step foot in a 5-star hotel again. I'm serious, the team is just that bad. I complained about the poor hygiene, even provided photos, and they still did nothing. I really want to give them a piece of my mind.

One of the best hotels in Melbourne, with a famous bakery right downstairs. There's a supermarket and train station across the road, and the free tram makes it easy to get anywhere.

The super amazing view that greets you upon entering the 80th-floor lobby is truly spectacular. The heated pool and its view are also top-notch, and the kids had a blast. Our room on the 71st floor also had a fantastic view, and we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The service was excellent, and the views were beautiful. The valet parking was well worth the tip, and they were very meticulous with the arrangements. Overall, a great experience! Many staff members knew a little Chinese, and there were even Chinese-speaking staff, which was a nice touch!

Environment: Great, the best hotel I've stayed at in Melbourne. Cleanliness: Clean. Facilities: Very good, and the minibar is a nice touch. I booked a room with a view, and the view was incredibly open, showcasing all of Melbourne's bustling cityscape. It's also not too far to walk to Chinatown, and you can easily reach many famous attractions and shopping malls by city walk.

Extremely satisfied with this hotel. First off, the room size, decor, amenities, design, and layout were all spot-on, though the toilet cubicle was a bit small. The service was also very comfortable and not at all forced. Every time the room was cleaned, it felt meticulously done and thoughtful, arranged according to my habits. The lobby's ambiance and the staff's service attitude were excellent. The location is also fantastic. Most places are within walking distance because public transport is quite slow here. There's a Coles supermarket directly opposite, which is super convenient for shopping, and it's open late, perfect for a late-night haul. The night views were absolutely stunning, and I even got to see a sea of clouds.
