We recently stayed at The Windsor and had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel is truly beautiful, with so much character, elegance, and history. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, professional, and attentive, making us feel valued throughout our stay. Our room was spacious, immaculate, and incredibly comfortable, with every detail thoughtfully considered. The location is also perfect, making it easy to explore Melbourne while enjoying the charm and luxury of this iconic hotel. Hygiene: Fairly average. There was a lot of dust on the standing air conditioner in the room. Environment: Not bad, full of British castle style. Service: They made the bed and emptied the trash daily. However, the replacement of toiletries seemed to depend on their mood. I did enjoy the English breakfast, which was a nice touch. Facilities are decent, especially considering the hotel is over 100 years old. Location is great, and Melbourne is a fun city. It's very close to Chinatown.

Our 120-square-meter Windsor Suite was very comfortable, with two bedrooms perfect for our family of three, and we all had a great night's sleep. The memory foam pillows delivered by the hotel were just right. Breakfast was delicious, with traditional hostess seating and à la carte service. The restaurant (pictured in image 3) was elegant and upscale; every set menu we chose was superb, and the coffee was high quality! I'm not sure why some reviews mentioned breakfast being vague, because for me, this was excellent service. At this price, staying directly opposite the Parliament House is truly fantastic value!

A historic hotel. The room we booked was large and had a vintage feel to it; we stayed for four nights. Every staff member we encountered from the moment we walked in was very polite. Room service was also very quick. The only downside was that the two cleanings during our stay were not very thorough: only the bathroom towels and trash bags were replaced, but the bathroom floor wasn't cleaned, and the sheets weren't changed. One evening, there was also a sudden power outage in the neighborhood, and our room was plunged into darkness instantly. We had to feel our way downstairs in the dark—it would have been better if the hotel had offered some form of compensation.

Loved the old world charm of the Windsor without  scarifying the comfort of improvements. Had a wonderful High Tea on the Saturday afternoon and a table service breakfast. The location is great too. Highly recommend it.
