Strongly not recommended! We found the building at 3:30 PM with our child, following the address provided by Ctrip. Perhaps due to the weekend, we tried calling and asking residents and the convenience store on the first floor, but still couldn't find the sign, let alone the front desk. When we contacted the hotel, we were told we needed to check in via self-service. What was unacceptable was that they sent a text message demanding photos of the front and back of our ID and bank card to a designated email address for them to complete the deposit payment before providing the self-service check-in process. Considering the risk of losing control of my personal credit card payment (I brought a Mastercard to Australia, and the card number and security code on both sides shouldn't be given to strangers I'd never met via email), I contacted Ctrip for intervention. Despite spending over three hours communicating, the hotel still couldn't offer other payment methods or guarantee channels (including a suggestion to pay the deposit through Ctrip's platform as a guarantee, which was rejected). Therefore, we didn't choose to check in! Since the cancellation period had passed, they neither offered any other safe and reliable guarantee/deposit payment channels nor agreed to cancellation. After multiple rounds and levels of communication with Ctrip for more than three hours, Ctrip decided that the platform would bear the non-refundable room fee already paid by the hotel, and I would rebook.

Very good, cost-effective, convenient check-in, Facilities: new Sanitation: clean Environment: comfortable and livable, warm Service: considerate service, you can order food, take-out, and the lobby welcome is very good Overall, it feels suitable and comfortable, four stars or above

High floor, good view, swimming pool and sauna facilities are good but no breakfast

I stayed at Winston Apartments recently and while the location and price were appealing, the overall experience left much to be desired. Pros: - The apartment is centrally located in Melbourne’s CBD, offering good value for the price. - The room was relatively quiet, with minimal noise from outside. - Linen and towels were clean and fresh. - Reception staff gave a thorough explanation at check-in and was helpful once we connected. Cons: - The microwave was filthy inside, with food stuck all over it. - The rangehood was also dirty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned. - No hand soap or hand towel were provided in the bathroom. - The shower hose had a large hole, causing water to spray everywhere. - There were piles of hair on the carpet — very unhygienic. - The mattress protector was torn and should be replaced. - The complimentary beverage box was poorly stocked: no sugar, only two milks, and just three regular coffees. - Reception wasn’t at the desk when we arrived, despite knowing our arrival time — though he did eventually meet us outside and escort us to the office. Overall: If you’re looking for a cheap place in the CBD and don’t mind compromising on cleanliness and maintenance, Winston Apartments might suffice. Personally, I wouldn’t stay again unless these issues are addressed.

Great accommodation, great views of Melbourne and great facilities of gym/pool etc. Although did not get to use much. Perfect location for trams right outside and very close to Southern cross train station. Another short stay put a slight downer as they set off the fire alarm with their cooking, quite scary watching people and pets cram into an elevator and get down as fast as we can and even know where's stairs. Not that in the case of a real fire being 60 floors up you'll make it down in time. All in all was great stay.

Do not bother booking this apartment!!! The rooms weren’t clean and service is terrible. We haven’t received our bond back after a month and three emails to them. We requested new sheets and were handed them to change our self! I definitely would book else where- very disappointing!

Nightmare. The most disgusting hotel you can stay at is the Winston apartments. Rude receptionists dirty bedsheets and couch. Nothing is like the pictures they have provided on third party websites and their own website. Took two weeks for our bond to be released. When it took them less then 10 seconds to take it. Would never never recommend it to anyone.
