I absolutely loved my stay at Lyf Collingwood! The location was perfect - well connected to Melbourne CBD but lots of cool shops and nightlife in the immediate vicinity. I felt safe and secure as a solo female traveller. All of the team were so friendly and always greeted me with a smile! I particularly enjoyed the free coffee every day which was freshly brewed and could be made exactly how I like it. The room was spotless, and had a unique character, with plenty of storage space and a decent shower. Housekeeping was provided due to the length of my stay, which was much appreciated! I also loved the comprehensive and detailed online guides to the local area, and the interactive TV. The bonus of having access to a kitchenette, laundry facilities, and larger kitchen downstairs was a huge plus, and I loved how the hotel grows their own herbs for guests to cook with! The hotel was quite quiet, and most guests kept to themselves, but I imagine that the social aspect would be more prominent during peak season. Overall, excellent value for money, and a perfect blend between a chic hotel and high-end hostel.
