Look everyone will have different reviews and some will love it and some will say it’s ok and some may not like this hotel. I went with my husband and 3 children age 9,10,14 there was not much for them to do at this hotel apart from the pools which are great a little cold but not that cold you can’t go in they did get abit bored so we went out most days but we did have one day by the pool . Food is not the best it was hit and miss we were half board kids did find it very hard to get something they did like my 2 girls are not fussy eaters and they did not like most of the food my son is and he eat chips most nights so we had to get them food from pool bar to keep them happy .I am not a fish lover but there was fish every where I got a bit of salad one night and I just couldn’t eat it because all I could smell was fish .some off the cakes taste a bit stale from the night before one night we didn’t eat anything as it was so bad .My day at the pool I didn’t like that there were smoking bins beside the kids pools and so adult’s English stood by the bins and smoke where peoples kids were and the Germans just smoked any where which I didn’t like at all .Hotel catered more for Germans than English we got a TV remote as we could not sit out on balcony as the people at both sides of us smoked and it wasn’t very nice and couldn’t put cloths out to for this reason so my husband and son got a TV remote for us and the kids to find there were only 3 English channels on there so that was a waste of time as it was all German .pool bar was fab and great .would I go back to this hotel no not for us but Gran Canaria I would definitely be going back. What I will say is that they did keep it very clean lifeguard was also keeping pool side clean and tidy my view was bad as you will see on pictures.I only gave you 4 star because of the smoking and the food my husband would have only given you 3 if he was writing this .

We spent a week here on a half-board basis in a “classic double room” Pros: - Quiet location. Our room was at the far end of the site near the crazy golf course and was very quiet at all times - There are 3 pools with plenty of sun beds. We used the “main pool” all the time as it was only 20 metres from our room and was always quiet. - All staff were always pleasant and helpful - The food was varied and good quality (we went half board) and it was great to be able to eat on the veranda with a view over the infinity pool out to sea - We had a kettle and a fridge in the room although you will need to provide your own tea and coffee - There is a mini market on the site which may be a bit more expensive than the nearest supermarket (which is 10 mins away) but it is really convenient - There was entertainment most nights in the pool bar - The aircon in the bedroom was really effective - The bathroom has a powerful walk-in shower with plenty of hot water - It’s only a 10-minute walk to the Meloneras beach and a 15-20 minute walk to the larger (and busier) Maspalomas beach Cons: - While the pool temperature was always 25°+ it still felt a bit chilly! - You need to pay a deposit for a pool towel and a tv remote and there is a (small) charge for using the room safe - The bedroom mattresses are covered with a plastic cover which can make them a bit hot All in all an excellent place to stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again if the price were right

There are parts of this hotel that are great but overall I think it does average out at a 3 star. We stayed in a terrace apartment which was lovely, plenty of space, clean, one of the best showers I've had on a holiday and lovely terrace. Kitchen was well-equipped and there's plenty of storage and a safe you can rent at reception. The only downsides were that the sofa wasn't the comfiest, the ceiling in the bathroom made a loud banging noise sometimes when you opened the door and in our particular apartment the terrace wasn't massively private. Most of them had hedges/plants around the edges to provide some privacy from other people walking around the complex, ours did not for some reason which wasn't a huge problem in December but I wouldn't want to be staying there in summer or when the hotel is fully booked. Also top tip for anyone arriving after dark, I'm not sure if this is the case for all the downstairs apartments but ours had 2 steps down right where the light switch is inside the apartment, which I discovered when I fell down them on our arrival as I went to put the key in the slot to turn on the light (thankfully I didn't hurt myself). The complex itself is in a great location if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle a bit. Nice sea view from the restaurant and pool, the sea front promenade is about a 5 minute walk and it's about a 20 minute stroll to the lighthouse at Maspalomas, passing lots of shops and restaurants on the way (or you can walk the other direction and be at Meloneras beach, shops and restaurants in about 5-10 minutes). We stayed half-board and the food was decent and there was a pretty good choice - the only complaint is that some of the food was often warm rather than hot even if it hadn't been out long. All in all it was a lovely place to stay for a relatively cheap winter sun break

We really enjoyed our week here. The apartment was roomy and clean with a large terrace with sun loungers, table and chairs. The food was lovely. A buffet service breakfast and evening meal with something different on the menu every day. There are 4 pools, 1 was for kids. They were never crowded and you could always get a sun lounger whatever time of day at the pool nearest the pool bar. The staff were really friendly and happy, everyone spoke. Location was very quiet and you could walk about 1km along the coastal promenade into Faro de Maspalomas where it was a hive of activity with highend shops, boutiques, restaurants, ice cream parlours and bars and a lovely beach. We also walked to the dunes and went on a camel ride which was a great way to see both camels and the dunes. We would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely come back.

Stayed for 10 nights in room 904, which is a very spacious two bed, two bathroom property with an upstairs balcony and a garden at ground level. Hotel is vast with no problem getting 4 sunloungers any time of day. The hotel has 3 pools, all very clean and look recently updated. The hotel is located in a quiet location with a 15 min walk along the seafront to shops and restaurants. The apartments are cleaned 5 times a week and are spotless. Great credit most go to the cleaning staff. We found all staff excellent from reception - Victor very helpful when we had queries. To Isabelle in the kids club, she did a nice easter egg painting class and easter egg hunt that our kids loved and many games. The staff at restaurant always greeted us with a genuine smile and promptly had a table ready for breakfast and dinner, esoecially Carmelo. A few improvements could be made: More dinner offerings for Vegetarians. Like a vegetarian dish of the day. Beds we found had mattress protector on and also very soft. Could do with updating the mattresses. Would return again for the room space and relaxed vibe.

Apartments already a little run down, kitchen poorly equipped, can’t even have a pot and a pan on the stove at the same time. Staff friendliness could also use an upgrading. Absolutely no toys or floaties allowed in the pool. Ok, hotel for a retired couple but definite not for a family with kids. Not worth the money.

The staff was rude and the room was not clean. We could find both ants, hair and dust at the room. I would not recommend this hotel. The place of the hotel was good, a bit far from restaurants, but the walk there was nice by the ocean. I would spend my money on another hotel in the area.

Booked half board for a week. Lovely room, very spacious for the two of us. Beds were comfy. A nice quiet hotel (apart from the carnival noise but to be expected) wi fi wasn't great. Could only get it in reception. Our front door was broken and got locked out twice. Had to walk back to reception which was quite a long walk each time. Also had a steep flight of steps to drag our suitcases up.to room. Food was really good, and was lovely to sit and watch the sun go down whilst eating. Staff really friendly throughout. Just a short walk to the promenade. Lovely view from room.

We stayed at the Caybeach Meloneras Hotel for two weeks. All in all it was a nice two weeks, with both very good things but also some that woul need improvement. The good things: There is three pools and they are pretty well maintained & checked for chlorine levels every day. All pools are heated (24 celsius) and on a warm and sunny day the water temperature can go up to 26 Celsius. The breakfast & dinner in the restaurant is OK with a selection wide enough but on a two week stay you will find that the variation from week to week is limited. Cleaning of the apartment is quite good but on many occasions the cleaner forgot to clean the upper level of our bungalow, we had booked both ground & upper level but typically these are sold separately & have their own electronic door locks. Some things would need improvement: Kitchenware is outdated and needs replacement with new ones. Furniture and kitchen cabinets are worn. WiFi reaches 10Mb/s but sudden drops/stalls happen regularly. Dinner is served at 19.00 so prepare to stand in queue as everyone is hungry at that time. Other hotels serves dinner earlier. To sum it up: with small improvements I would rate this place even higher as it is a good option if you don’t want to stay in a typical Hotel building.
