The Cross at Croscombe

WOW ! Our daughter got married on 27th August and as a family along with the grooms family we needed a base to stay in for the duration of the celebrations. We stayed for two nights but really wished it could have been longer. How very lucky we were to have booked here. Terri made us feel so welcome from the minute we stepped foot in the door. Greeted with kindness and a smile, The building and its furnishings are beautiful. The whole place is absolutely immaculate and as you land Terri invites you for a pot of tea and homemade scones in the beautiful courtyard garden. The rooms are spotless and contain everything you need and more for an excellent nights sleep. Terri’s breakfasts are simply amazing. An excellent array of cereals, nuts , fresh fruit, croissants and yoghurt followed by quite possibly the best cooked breakfast I’ve ever had anywhere. Our son enjoyed using the well stocked honesty bar and there was ample tea and coffee in the room. Nothing is too much trouble for Terri and this small but perfect hotel/ B&B is just simply OUTSTANDING Thank you Terri x

The Staff at the hotel was very friendly & helpful all the way through our stay, the food was great, and not expensive at all. The hotel room was cozy and very clean-as well as the rest of the hotel. We visited the caves and we was given % off our tickets.
Camelot Retreat - Tor View

The Camelot Retreat is a wonderful welcoming space. It is extremely clean, and has a very spiritual yet homely atmosphere. The room I had was warm and inviting, with everything that someone could need. Breakfast was very convivial, and the facilities provided (with a kitchen and cereal bar where you can make breakfast to suit your dietary requirements and tastes) were excellent. This is a great place to meet and connect with like-minded souls if you want to. The location is ideally placed for excursions to the Tor, Chalice Well, and for strolls into town to take in the sights and shops.
The Ancient Gatehouse & Rugantino Restaurant

Listening to the bells of the cathedral in the morning, I wake to the bells of the cathedral at night, and the sound will not feel a little disturbing your emotions. The anti-er will have a warmer and more cordial, six hundred years of history. The old house is so touching. In the morning, it is a pure English style, and the Italian cuisine for dinner is also a feast of color and flavor!
The Redan Inn

We stayed for one night b&b taking advantage of the tasting menu offer. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the pub had a real local feel and great atmosphere. The food was great and the five course menu was really six (if you include “snacks” which turned out to be a well laden deli board of salamis, ham, bread, cheese, olives for starters. Each of the other courses were generous portions (especially for a tasting menu), good quality and all really well presented. The room we stayed in was small but comfortable and clean with modern TV, tea, coffee, bottled water. The cooked breakfast the following morning rounded off a really pleasant overnight stay.
Worth House Bed and Breakfast

I booked this for a Christmas shopping trip for myself and my mum. On arrival we were greeted by Sarah who was super friendly and shows us to our room. Lovely room on the first floor with single beds. We had booked dinner at the hotel for 6pm. Sarah was very accommodating as I am vegetarian and had prepared a lovely meal, all home made with was delicious. Again desserts were amazing with a choice of lemon tart or pavlova. Couldn’t fault the dinner at all. We stayed for two nights, breakfast on both mornings was perfect, lovely and hot and not too much which we liked. The hotel was positioned perfectly for us as we visited both Wells and Clark’s Village. All in all nothing to moan about and would not hesitate in coming back. Thank you Sarah 😊
