We stayed here as it was closest to family. All seemed well until we let housekeeping tidy up our room. We arrived back to find they had thrown away food and one of our child's toys. Usually they just empty waste cans, make the bed and leave new towels. At this Hampton they will clean off the counter top above the refrigerator and dispose of things that are not garbage. We were pretty upset but the hotel staff didn't seem to really care. My child was devastated that they would throw away a brand new toy. Be careful what you leave out, it may get tossed.

We are traveling again because we think Marriott’s mask and covid safety policies are good. We choose dog friendly properties and really like the TownPlace Suites line. The Meridian checkin clerk refused TWICE to pull mask up over her nose. Other than than, it was the usual good stay. Every other staff person and other guests were masked. We always look for Marriotts first, then Hiltons that are pet friendly. This one was a little more expensive than some other TownPlaces but we had stayed here before…

Staff was friendly upon check in and I was able to get a room at 3 pm despite all the soccer tournament attendees in town booking every room and car rental. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Great walkable location to enjoy Sakana sushi (amazing), TCBY yogurt and a great local coffee house. Nice offerings for purchase in lobby and complimentary fruit and coffee. Nice grill area if you want to cook outside (utensils available) and each room has a kitchen - nice for extended stay
