We were visiting Mexico City for holiday and found the hotel to be in a superb location for all we had planned. The staff were very attentive, knowledgeable and helpful in every way. The room was superb. The only downside was that we had booked with breakfast and there was a lot of confusion as to what our breakfast should be. First day we had one small piece of toast and a couple of pieces of fruit but the second day we were offered any eggs dish from the main menu. We thought perhaps they had got it wrong on the first day as this amount was just about right for a child rather than an adult. However on day three we were offered what we had on day one so very confusing. Other than this our stay was superb.

Check in was fairly easy. The location was a 10 minute walk to the Zocalo. Overall the area was pretty safe. We did however experience a major issue with the room cleaning service and the staff. On our second day there we left to an excursion to see the pyramids. When we came back our room had been cleaned but my wife's teeth retainers were missing. She had left them in the bathroom in a secure place. She was upset because making a copy of the retainers is not cheap. It got even worse when we tried to talk with the front office. They gave us a run around for the rest of the 4 days we spent there. Never once were we allowed to speak to a manager, they tried to make it better by offering us coffee or one meal. $400 dollars thrown away because of a careless team and we get offered coffee. They did not want to own up to their mistake and completely ignored our request to escalate the situation. We received a very vague "sorry, but the cleaning lady did not recall seeing your retainers" on our last day. Extremely disappointed in the lack of resolution for something that was their mistake. If they would've just admitted to their wrongdoings, we would've been ok, however they tried to play it off until our last day. Will not be coming back here for the lack of professionalism and inability to resolve issues they cause.

Location is perfect. Steps away from the Zocalo, shops, and restaurants. Everyone is friendly and helpful.

I have never stayed in such a bad hotel, and it is still a 4-star hotel. When I checked in, my passport was dropped at the front desk, and they lied to us and said they didn't see it and refused to check the surveillance. We wanted to call the police, and then they stuffed the passport under the sofa and said we left it there. There are no windows in the room, and the floor is tiled, which is very slippery and easy to fall.

The hotel rooms are those of the seven-day chain that have not been upgraded in China.

I had completed payment in advance through the app, but they told me they couldn't confirm it and asked me to pay again. Even though I confirmed the reservation number and payment details saved on my phone, they said they didn't know. After a while, they confirmed that it was the Trip.com app and showed us to the room without apology, but the room machine was also broken. It was replaced again soon. The room was clean and the facilities were good, but I wasn't feeling well, so I turned up the temperature on the air conditioner and went to sleep, but someone forcibly broke into the room in the middle of the night. The people who broke in were employees and they said they came to check because the temperature in the room was strange. However, I was very embarrassed and scared because they obviously knew that a customer was in the room, but they trespassed without calling or knocking. The staff was friendly, but had no consideration for guests. A hotel I never want to go to again. The service was worse than that of a 30,000 won room in Southeast Asia.
