This hotel is based within close proximity to a train station, multiple food locations, and convenience stores. When booking this hotel, it was specifically chosen due to being part of the Accor hotel family. As a gold member, I have come to expect the kind, friendly and welcoming staff at their hotels. Typically, as a gold member, I am welcomed with a personal welcome note, a free drink voucher, and a thank-you gift. Here? Nothing; in fact, there were absolutely no frills included in this hotel (including bathroom toiletries). The king-size bed was comfy, and the pillows provided were also comfortable. There was a stained pullout couch along one wall. Right at the room's entrance was a glass squared box containing the shower and toilet, and opposite the box was the hand basin and mirror. The shower door didn't close completely - which allowed all the water into the bathroom, but not to worry because you are provided with a bathmat. Be careful in the bathroom not to wear socks, though, because standing on the flooring allows water up through the floorboards. Need to dry your hands after using the sink? Oh well, no hand towels are provided, so you can pleasantly enjoy using your wet towels. The hotel breakfast provided ”continental” is extremely dissatisfying and disappointing. From the limited seating to the cold pasta, squishy watermelon and unripe pineapple. At no fault of the hotels, though, one of our phones was stolen; we sought assistance from the reception staff, who directed us to stand outside the hotel and just wait for the police to turn up. The next day, we asked for again, and eventually, the hotel staff pointed us down the road to the police station. However, disappointingly, this is not where tourists are meant to go. Tourists are intended to contact the Tourist Police, who are able to assist visitors. Whilst this is not the hotel staff's fault - I think it would be essential for hotel staff to know about the tourist policy - especially since your fundamental business is tourism. On the final night of our stay the air conditioner stopped working - I spoke to reception, and they kindly allowed us to sleep in another room, and leave our stuff in the original room as we were leaving early. Overall, would I stay in this hotel again? No.

It is indeed antique🌹It is a building built in 1907 after all, so I took a lot of photos inside the hotel. The room is nice. Although it is a bit old, the hygiene is good. I especially like that there are windows on both sides. The morning sun comes in and it is very comfortable. The restaurant on the first floor is good. It has a good environment and a wide variety of food. It is not expensive and could be used as a brunch restaurant. However, there is no USB socket in the room, which is not as convenient as a new hotel. In addition, the hotel is divided into several areas. The rooms on Londres Road are the best, and the ones facing Liverpool are darker.

The front desk is very friendly, especially the uncle in the restaurant who can speak a word or two in Chinese. He knew that we were from China and needed tissues and brought them to us himself. The uncle at the front desk will also help with luggage and call taxis. The staff are very nice. The only drawback is that there is backflow in the bathroom, dirt will be found the next day, and a toothbrush is found in the toilet (I am sure it was not caused by us). Maybe it's just a problem with this room, I hope this can be improved

The photos on Marriott’s site don’t do this property any favors. Yes, the design is a bit darker than the traditional grays you are seeing at other Marriotts, but it still felt up-to-date and it felt traditionally Mexican. Hotel was clean, felt fresh, solid amenities, good customer service, and had a nice layout. I wouldn’t hesitate to choose this property over any of the other Marriott properties should I return to CDMX. If you are M-Lounge eligible you’ll have access to the amazing rooftop lounge which services breakfast until 10 and drinks/appetizers starting at 5 pm (even on weekends).

Likes: First I would like to mention that the staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. Location, location, location..... If you like to be in Zona Rosa, this place is perfect. The rooms, they actually all suite style rooms.... There are so many amazing restaurant option within a 3 block radios and the prices are very affordable. I think we ate our way through Mexico City and NO stomach issues, I may add Disliked: The hotel didn't provide a coffee maker, so the second room was useless to us. The bathroom as a bit small and had a step in bath/shower combo. The room was very clean and housekeeping was very friendly and able to give extra water bottles if needed. We didn't but our friends pre-purchased the breakfast option and they said it was not worth the $8.00 a day per person they paid extra. We had had an amazing breakfast for less than $5.00 a person just around the corner. I must admit the location was great of this hotel BUT right around the corner there are bars that play LOUD piping dance music till 4AM (Sundays 2AM) EVERY NIGHT. Our room was on the 9th floor and we didn't get to sleep till the music stopped. Even with ear plugs we felt the base..... Most of our friends had their rooms on the 4th and 5th floor and it must have been even louder there. Needless to say, most of us slept in till noon or 1pm..... If it wasn't for the extremely loud music, our stay at this property would have been great. AGAIN, the staff was amazing and hats off to them for dealing with those other guests that had been complaining about the noise...

«+» Overall, good looking updated and ideally clean hotel. Nice and friendly hotel staff. Very big and remodeled Deluxe King Room that I stayed in (#4006). Large window in my room, which brought a lot of natural daylight inside. Big comfortable King Bed. Nicely designed bathroom area divided into a long big sink area, a glass shower stall, and a toilet separated by a door. Reasonable hotel rate (I paid approximately $83 per night with all taxes included). Nice hotel location in the center of Mexico City. «-» Very slow Wi-Fi, which completely disappeared from time to time. Only one slow and tiny elevator in the hotel. No refrigerator in my room. Very small closet with just a few hangers. Uncomfortable bed pillows. Tiny shower stall. Bad quality bathroom amenities. No toilet brush in the bathroom.

This is the second time I've been in this hotel, and 100% convinced there will be a third one time!!!. This hotel has everything you need to experience a wonderful stay at CDMX. Clean and confortable rooms, Breakfast & Buffet included. The hotel has it all. Good Location Fast internet, spaceful halls. The front desk service personell are very friendly (Believe me, at least the ones I've met). The rooms are comfortable but you won't find very big rooms. There is no need for that.

I stayed here back in June as a solo traveller as I needed to get to the British embassy early the next morning. When I arrived the receptionist staff were really kind and helpful, they told me the direction to the embassy which was a help as I was a little anxious being alone in such a huge city, it was only afew walking yards away. The room was beautiful, spacious had everything i needed and a huge comfy bed I wish I had longer to stay there. When in mexico city again I would stay in this hotel.

JjosecnycI think it’s time for me to stop staying at the Holiday Inn hotels, many issues happened this year with this brand. I had issues in New York (Holiday Inn Times Square), Holiday Inn Puebla and, now in this property, Holiday Inn Zona Rosa. Pro’s: • Hotel is conveniently located in the center of DF, close to Insurgentes and Paseo Reforma. There are some restaurants close to this hotel, the bad thing is, some of them close early 8:00pm – 9:00pm • The rooms are spacious and quiet. • Asked for a refrigerator and it was delivery fast. • Very quiet and safe area, you can walk any time without any issues, we were leaving to the airport and, we saw a guy jogging at 2:30am. • It’s close to Metro stations Cauthemoc and Insurgentes but, I will avoid these stations late night. Con’s: • I think the Front Desk personnel are not well trained. When we checked in, I wasn’t asked for a Credit Card for Incidentals. Normally, when you check into the hotel, a method of payment is always asked to cover incidentals and to cover any damage in the room, even if the room is paid for; this omission gave us problems at the restaurant when we had dinner. The restaurant staff said we had to pay cash or CC, he couldn’t charge in our hotel bill because we didn’t have credit on file…Of course he didn’t ..!.The agent didn’t ask for it at check in..!... We had to go to the front desk to find out what was going on. We spoke with the Front Desk Manager (by the way, a very inexperienced and not friendly lady) and she didn’t have a clue what we were talking about ( and I speak fluent Spanish ). We asked why the agent did not ask for CC upon checking in, she just said “Maybe because you are paying with points”..????....Really??? • One thing that really bothered me is, when we paid at the Front Desk for our restaurant meal in Cash or CC, the Receptionist, including the Front Desk Manager, won’t give you a receipt right way, you have to ask for it. • The uneven floor in the room’s shower was annoying, every time we took a shower, the water was still standing on the floor. We reported to Housekeeper, and she said she will take care of the issue when she cleans the room. • The food at the restaurant was ugly and not well presented; one night we ordered Sirloin Tacos and, it was awful, the meat was dry and cold and it seems they spilled the food on the plate. • Elevator was broken, thanks god they gave us a room on the second floor. • The waiters at the restaurant also need more training, they need to learn how to set up a table, they don’t bring the glasses, utensils, bread at the same time, you must ask for it, otherwise you’ll spend the rest of your meal raising your hand to get their attention. • We didn’t feel welcome at check in, the agent did not explain what is included and what is not, I found out on my second visit that phone calls are included. • The business center in the lobby is not functional at all, the keyboard’s computer is not programmed as it

I'm dedicating my valuable time to share this review about the hotel because my experience left much to be desired. My initial motivation for choosing this establishment was the promise of an immersive local living experience. Indeed, it did deliver on this front, but to an extent that made me feel like a resident in a less affluent part of the country. The hotel is essentially an old building that's received a fresh coat of paint and a few superficial embellishments in typical colors and shapes, offering little more than that. Regrettably, the sanitary conditions fell far short of expectations. The bathroom featured a sink marred by limescale, and the shower was not only poorly sanitized but also old and encrusted with a significant amount of limescale. The website had assured us of air-conditioned rooms, but the reality was quite different. Instead of air conditioning, we were provided with a portable fan, which didn't quite meet our cooling needs. To compound our disappointment, the two towels provided in our room were worn and frayed. When we requested additional towels, we were informed that an extra charge would apply, which was an unwelcome surprise. As evening descended, the hallways remained shrouded in darkness. The hallway lights were notably slow to illuminate, potentially posing a hazard for elderly individuals or children navigating them around 7:00 PM. Furthermore, the absence of a mini-fridge in the room was a notable inconvenience, leaving us without a means to keep our beverages cold. In an otherwise disheartening stay, the one bright spot was the delightful breakfast prepared by a gracious lady each morning, available for around $9. It was a delicious start to the day, and the lady's warm and welcoming service was genuinely appreciated. However, this positive experience was starkly contrasted by the underwhelming service at the reception desk. In conclusion, I hope this candid account of my experience aids you in making an informed decision when considering this hotel for your stay.

Overall this hotel is clean and well-located, with friendly staff and great blackout curtains. However, there were a handful of small issues that makes me think you could get a better a hotel at the same price. There were some small issues like there not being enough towels (and the towels that were there were a bit worn), no full length mirror, and no conditioner, but that's all manageable. The bigger problem for us was that the walls are thin. Sound from neighboring rooms, the hallway, and the bathroom were very audible. If you're a heavy sleeper and not too concerned about privacy then it's probably fine.

GGuest UserI stayed here for 5 nights prior to joining a group tour. My room was on 5th floor and looked onto a small garden and was quiet. Large room, clean, nice bathroom. WWhiteMouseBurrowWe stayed at the hotel for one night, right after the hard first day in Mexico. We are very tired because examined the capital immediately after a long flight ... There were no special impressions about the hotel, everything was quite satisfactory. The room is comfortable, we had a good rest. The restaurant offered us both European and Mexican cuisine, it is quite possible to relax after a hard day.
