Boulan South Beach

South Beach Miami Beach|0.23km from The Bass
I recently stayed at the Boulan (late May). I typically stay at the Kimpton but I was asked to stay at the Boulan by a Special Event producer who is looking for a hotel to house her production team during the summer. She had stayed at the Boulan pre-Covid. I checked in the late evening after playing golf. First, I loved the location and the upon entering the hotel immediately loved the vibe. After checking in, which was efficient and easy, I went up to my room, only to find that deadbolt did not work. I immediately returned the lobby and notified the front desk. A gentleman from engineering was at my door within 5 minutes. He was unable to fix the door. I then went back downstairs and asked to be moved. I was then told that my category was sold out. That my options were to stay or check out and a note would be left for the manager. At this time is about 10pm. The options extended to woman travel alone was to stay in a room with a broken deadbolt or check out and find another room at 10pm at night. I had paid for the room upfront. There was no promise of refund if I checked out. Only a note left for the manager. I returned to the room and put my luggage in front the door. During my usual mattress check for bedbugs, which luckily, I did not find any, I found a duvet that was stained with something that was formally red on one bed. And the other bed clearly had food (popcorn) and other items under it. In a time of a pandemic- the room had not exactly been cleaned to the best of the ability. The next day I went to have lunch on the terrace only to find the latch securing the sliding glass door was loose. In theory someone from the outside just needs to pull hard or repeated to dislodge it from the wall. During my stay I came downstairs 3 times to speak to a Manager only to be told the manager was in a meeting. This was over the span of 4 hours. I had to come downstairs because the front desk never picked up the phone. On each visit to the front desk I was told a manager would call. I was also given an email address. When I checked out I left my email asking for a manager to contact me. Since I am also in the resort hospitality industry, it was my intention to provide feedback to the manager before speaking with the producer who asked me to stay. Imagine my surprise when I instead received an email asking me to share my experience on Trip Advisor. I waited a week before posting my review – hoping to have received a response to my email by now. The Boulan is beautiful and I was ready to be a regular. Sadly, due to lack of cleanliness and no regard to Guest safety, I find it hard to recommend it.

DoubleTree by Hilton Grand Hotel Biscayne Bay

Downtown Miami
I think this hotel has more slots Advantages: The location is very good. It is a 10-minute drive from the bayside market and a 10-minute drive to the island. The gate is a miami trolley terminal (the bus is free and there are many lines). The welcome is a hot chocolate tart, and free ice water and limited wines are available in the lobby. The waiter was warm. The restaurant 8 and 1/2 downstairs is good, the Italian girl is warm and patient. Disadvantages: Check in at 16:00, which is a little early, so wait until 4:30 to get ready. In addition, if check in is later than required, additional fees will apply. Room facilities are not new. Downstairs is a construction site, as if building a church. It has been more than a year. Workers started work at 7 o'clock on weekdays. Don't expect too much of a room with a park view. It is a street garden with a view of the sea. The other part of the hotel is the superior apartment where you can see various dogs in the lobby. Hotel parking can only be valet parking, a price every 4 hours, 30 dollars a day, and tip. Behind the small chapel is $ 10 during the day and $ 10 overnight (please call me Lei Feng). It's opposite the office building and it won't open on weekends. In addition, it is not recommended to choose a room with breakfast. If you choose, the hotel will provide a $ 10 voucher per person, which is applicable to the 6 restaurants downstairs, it is better to eat it yourself. I booked a room with breakfast, but the breakfast information was not tied to the room number, order number or the person who booked it. It is randomly bound to the person who stays. The hotel didn't find my breakfast, and Ctrip didn't find it. I saw it at check-out and gave a day of vouchers. I went to buy bread for lunch.

Recent pre and post cruise visit to The Gabriel. What a great find! Lovely hotel, professional and friendly staff, comfortable room and a wonderful restaurant, Cvltvra. The restaurant was a great bonus. Lunch and Dinner were of exceptional quality and taste. A great buzz around the place. A wonderful swimming pool at a good temperature. Must give mention to Micheal on the Front Desk for his welcoming and accommodating personality. A real find in Miami and will definitely return when next in Miami.

Right on the beach, but not the beach, the room can see the sea, the room is OK, but the parking fee is too expensive, 34 US dollars a day, the construction of a taxi Uber, Uber in the hotel is very convenient
Hilton Miami Downtown

Forget about the small size of the room, the cleanliness is terrible. Even if you give me a tip every day, it is not cleaned. The most you can do is make a bed and change towels. The mattress apron is still torn. Are you staying at a fake Hilton? Dizzy! The outdoor swimming pool is quite good, I swam twice. This price is not cost-effective, and Ctrip did not get a good price or good floors.
The Elser Hotel Miami

The Elser Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way! The staff was incredibly helpful, especially Jonathan, who went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing room and took care of all our needs. Mustafaa and Francisco were also incredibly helpful and resourceful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The location of the hotel is fantastic, being close to Bayside and offering plenty of walking areas around. We loved exploring the nearby attractions and the convenience of having everything within reach. The hotel itself has a contemporary and trendy vibe, which we absolutely loved. The cleanliness was top-notch, and it was evident that the management takes great care in maintaining the property. Overall, our experience at Elser Hotel was exceptional. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Miami. The helpful staff, beautiful location, and contemporary atmosphere make it a perfect choice for a memorable stay. Five stars all the way!”

Delighted by this resort. - Staff: All the staff was amazing during our stay. Genuinely nice people, Zully was very nice and help us with everything during the check-in and we even had a lot of fun with Angie during our stay every time we passed by the front desk. They were amazing by letting us leave the luggage at the front desk after checking out to explore the area more since our flight back home was very late. - Hotel: The hotel looks amazing and is very nicely decorated. I sent one package from Amazon to the resort and got it without trouble. I understand you can send less than 5 packages without a fee which was very convenient. Also, the gym was very well equipped even with two Peloton bikes. - Room: Very very clean no complaints at all. Breakfast: Very complete breakfast offering waffles, eggs, oatmeal, cereal, bread station, and sausage. They even had Pumpkin Waffles. - Location: Safe and short walk to Target, Marshalls, Ross, and all the surroundings. Uber rides were cheap ($7-$15) to other locations such as Wynwood Walls, Art District, Design District, Brickell, South Pointe Park, Bayside, and Lincoln Rd.
