Hilton Grand Vacations at McAlpin-Ocean Plaza

My family and I stayed here as owners for a second time. We had a relaxing, wonderful stay. The rooms are Devin smaller than other locations but being across the street from the beach makes it all worth it. All staff were helpful and friendly. There are free laundry facilities in each building (not in the room. We had a one bedroom and my only issues are that the beds are only queen size and the cooktop has only two burners. Also no pool. The living room does have a sofa bed which was great. Still, for such a prime location I’m not complaining. Plenty of shops and restaurants right outside the door and Espanola Way is right around the corner! Go there!! We’ll be back every year!

Great location, friendly and efficient staff, spacious and well-appointed rooms. Discounts for umbrellas and chairs at beautiful beach steps from the hotel, plenty of restaurants all around. Highly recommended

We had a relaxing exchange to a HGV resort. The rooms are spacious for a boutique hotel so close to the ocean. It is located right on Ocean Drive in South Beach. There are many restaurants and shops to choose from. There is a free trolley to take you up and down Miami Beach. We arrived early, coming from another resort not far away, and they held all our luggage and boxes of food we had leftover while we waited for our rooms so we could begin enjoying our time here. We will be back!

Customer service and location are superb ! Seriously, the location could not be better. You will be smack dab in the middle of all the action on Ocean Drive. Perfect! The rooftop is amazing and gives some of the best views on Ocean Drive. Now...the not so perfect side; Most rooms, the view is of an alley, and the daily 0730 industrial trash pick up will wake you every day (it is LOUD). The walls are paper thin, therefore you can feel like you are having a conversation with your neighbor. The elevator....is 3x3. So fitting luggage plus humans, good luck. Overall, I'd stay here again, but would look at other options as well and make an educated yet financial decision.

What an absolute place this is! The building is absolutely stunning in all it's Art Deco era splendor! The location is amazing too with everything you need within a short walking distance. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was bountifully kept in keeping with the art deco decor and was very well equipped with every we needed for our weeks stay here.

I had an incredible time staying at this hotel. The staff made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. Cassie. was extremely friendly, professional, and attentive throughout my stay, She is a true asset to the hotel! I definitely suggest this place to anyone searching for a nice stay with excellent service. I will definitely be returning!

This place appears to have seriously gone downhill within the past 2 years. Our stays in May 2021 and May 2023 were so much better than our stay in May 2025. The biggest deterioration has been in service level. They could never get our requests right. We would order 5 items and 2 would show up, and always delivered with zero greeting, zero smile, zero warmth, in fact the person delivering looked rather scary. Also, the buildings and rooms do not seem to have been updated in years. Our room 2404 was starting to show significant wear. There was a rather alarming hole in the floor below the carpeting near the kitchen, and our dishwasher leaked every day due to a loose gasket that I had to keep fixing manually every time I wanted to run it. Multiple lightbulbs were fused and needing replacement, which we didn't bother to ask for because we figured it wouldn't happen. We have been HGVC owners since 2006 and have been here probably a dozen times since then, and the only time things were worse was back in May 2011 when the internet didn't work and both hot tubs were turned off and drained during our entire stay. We only came here because we couldn't find a unit at the HGVC Waikiki even though we tried booking as soon as the 9-month window opened. I don't think we will be back here again.

Perfect location for South Beach! This was a family trip and the location was perfect. Directly across from the beach with many restaurants nearby. Great walking area and access to bikes and other transportation. Our family of three stayed in a one bedroom and though the room is smaller than a standard HGVC 1 bedroom it was just fine for us. We have already rebooked for next year.
