Where do I begin? The plumbing doesn’t work. Electrical sockets are so old they can’t hold a charger without it falling off the wall every five minutes. They won’t invest in updated technology, so you will need to replace your key every time you re-enter your own room (the old keys can and WILL de-magnetize from things like RFID chips in all current debit/credit card, as an example). You can’t watch the smart TV because all of the apps like Netflix need updating, and the Wifi is too slow to process it. The system crashes. I could list 97,000 more things - like extremely rude and ******* customer service and complete apathy when I tried to talk to managers about it. Chris was great, and I had no issues with the wait staff. I was served twice by one woman that seemed to know the town quite well; I believe her name was Juliana (?). She was awesome. The cleaning staff was friendly enough, but I will say there is just no way to keep that room clean due to lack of ventilation and the extreme humidity. The floor will be sticky. You will be sticky. You will try to clean it. That will last all of five minutes. At this point, until they do serious renovations, it’s a nice place to eat, and then you need to GTFO. I pointed out each of these issues as they happened, and then I recapped them for the manager as I left. She said she could remove the $22 (or so) “Resort Fee” as compensation. What a joke. This is not a resort. At this point, it’s not even a motel. It’s a condemned building with Scarface memorabilia and an elevator that someone will surely be trapped in for days when it inevitably fails. Take the stairs - or better yet, drive that car outside to a real hotel. That said, it will be a beautiful hotel once a proper owner decides to invest *anything* in it. I asked the manager to speak with the GM (supposedly named Russ, I’m told) and/or the owner. No one has contacted me. I don’t see any way to deal with this other than disputing the charges with the booking companies and/or credit card/banks. Unreal. Cheers.
