THE JULIA - ADULTS ONLY MIAMI BEACH HOTEL

The Julia Hotel is in the perfect location on Miami Beach. Walking distance to Ocean Drive, the Art Deco district, the ocean, South Point Park, excellent restaurants and coffee shops. Being located south of 5th Street, Collins becomes a quiet, neighborhood area. Our room was simple, clean and had very tall ceilings. The lobby was filled with natural light, right next to the neighborhood sidewalk...a nice place to hang out. Hector who was the host during the day, was very attentive and personable. I highly recommend this place if your goal is to venture out to enjoy Miami Beach.

We returned to the hotel on our last night and found the locker with our room key wide open. The locker clearly displayed our room number on the outside. We also noticed the same thing happening with lockers for other rooms. There was no one at the reception, and all our belongings were completely exposed — anyone could have entered our room without even needing to break in. We made the mistake of accepting their apology. They claimed the lockers “malfunctioned” (a ridiculous excuse — the lockers were simply left wide open). They also promised us compensation so that we would forget about the incident and not mention it in a review. Of course, we never received anything. Looking back, we should have called the police. We have never felt this level of insecurity. Absolutely unacceptable

Great stay! customer service was great, they communicated very well, held our luggage and extended our stay with no complaints. Definitely recommend this place! Flor at the front desk was also very nice.

Extremely disappointed with the service team! Booked a room months ago and didn’t receive any confirmation with booking details. Have had to cancel due to visa issues which was back in May and they said it was non refundable. I asked for evidence of this as I had not received any information that it was non refundable at time of booking but there has been no response. It has been two months since my initial request and they have ignored all my emails since their initial response in at the beginning of June. Would like my money back especially as there was plenty of time since May to resell the room which was initially booked for August…

If I could give zero stars I would. The company has no morals and values and even admitted it over the phone! They wouldn’t let us reschedule our Airbnb trip due to hurricane Milton. They were expecting me to drive through a category four hurricane. They wouldn’t give us a refund or credit. Very rude and does bad business. Don’t recommend staying with them at all.

THIS PLACE IS GHETTO AF! Since we landed and came into the hotel we’ve been dealing with issues from employees. Morning 1: At around 2am-3am we had other tenants get into a fight and yelling through the halls and front. There was banging in the windows and impossible to sleep through. You could imagine how inappropriate this looks for the other hotel guest. I thought this was over and maybe a tenant having a bad day with their significant other…but that wasn’t the case. Morning 2: Around 5am-6am there were more banging of the windows and women yelling in the front and arguing that echoed throughout the hall. This was probably the straw that broke the camels back because we didn’t have one peaceful night and fear for our lives that if we complained these women would try to fight with us (I’ll get back to this later in this review) Why should we as guest have to be afraid to speak up to others who are being totally inappropriate? This is not okay and honestly the worst experience I’ve had in my life staying somewhere that includes the staff AND hotel owner. No security, pretty ghetto at this point and no one around to help guest stay at ease. Same morning after we were up working in the front of the hotel other guest started to complain and ask for a refund to the front desk girl. They said they were afraid to ask people to stop yelling and banging because they were scared that based on their tonality and actions this will only make it worst. She looked to her right to a man and he said “we don’t do refunds but we’ll gladly move you to a different room.” This same evening there was a lady that was sleeping in the front couch. (See picture) I came back after a late dinner and she then had a sheet over her and was sleeping in the front lobby. Like I said, this place is ghetto. So there I am trying to do the exact same thing other guest wanted and I already had my answer from this man who we thought was the manager. A couple of minutes continue and this man turns out to be the owner! Flaunting to his staff how he’s a millionaire and that they are only working until 3 so there shouldn’t be a problem. There’s guest in the front listening to this. My wife sure did as well and they did not care. That’s the owner! This is so inappropriate and I honestly didn’t want to be in this place anymore nor give them anymore money. I had written a complaint to Airbnb and they did nothing. Instead, it was sent to the front desk person who began to knock at my door while I was still sleeping in my underwear and she began to chuckle and smile because clearly I looked like I was out partying the night before and wanted to have a “chat” with me about my message to Airbnb. I have never done this but due to the current events from staff and owner I wish to leave and get as much as I can back from such a horrible stay. She told me that she talked to the owner and her said they can’t refund me because I was asking for most of my money back (I was morning 3 an
