Overall I want to give this spot a rating of 3.5. It’s more of a Motel & not a Hotel. The concept is dope, tho. The location is convenient. CVS is across the street; Walgreens is 1 block away on Collins & 5th; the liquor store is right there just ft to the left & the beach is only 3 blocks away. Damion at the front desk was friendly & kind so checking in was cool. To be honest, no other staff matches his energy. So shout out to you, Damion. When I checked in on Sunday I noticed right away there was water & cookies there. The next 2 days there was nothing. That was really disappointing. No water was offered at all. With that said, there is no free breakfast. They send you down the block & around the corner for tea/coffee & breakfast. Like I said, the idea and theme of the hotel (motel) itself is really cool. I really enjoyed reading the quotes. The likkle rooftop space was cool too. Heads up once the sun goes down it’s pretty dark up there. There are no lights which ****** because I went out there to eat & couldn’t see nothing. Also, for the non-smokers, be prepared because folks are allowed to smoke up there. That was a BIG bummer for me. My room needed some minor maintenance. The room had a wicked smell to it when I 1st walked in; the freezer did not freeze at all; the sink was missing the cabinet & it kept clogging. With a few upgrades I’d stay here again. It’s cool for a short stay.
