Evan and Karen greeted us on the first day and Evan also remembered us throughout our trip and was very friendly. Housekeeping team was out of this world. One of the best ive experienced recently in my travels. Beds are comfy and the rooms are quiet. Val and Maria by the pool were two awesome servers who were so so so nice and took super great care of my group. Sometime great service is hard to find down in Miami. The property itself is beautiful. The complimentary workout classes each morning are awesome. Breakfast at The Market is a must! Servers are very attentive and professional. The only issue we had was during the reservation process and a night manager who was anything but hospitable during a phone call.. There was not a house car and plan for lots of mosquitos outside. Also check out the Basement downstairs, they offer bowling and an ice skating rink! And there is a Starbucks right across the street. Everything was overall fantastic! 👌🏽 10/10 Thanks to the Edition team for an amazing trip! My favorite hotel in Miami Beach yet.

Beautiful sleek, elegant room in the Art Deco block, with a large balcony with sea view, separate little sitting area and bath in the bedroom. Lovely first impression to arrive there after a long flight, look at the sea and enjoy some of the bottle of champagne which had been left on ice as a welcome gift! The dishes on the breakfast buffet in Jaya were plentiful and would have been delicious but unfortunately stone cold which seemed a shame. We took a la carte after the first morning which was much better. Extremely loud music at dinner in Jaya meant we couldn’t have a conversation so had to move inside, which again was a shame, though by chance we had a good view of the live show which we hadn’t been expecting! You can walk for miles along a boardwalk just back from the beach.

How can I say that I have been traveling to various good hotels in various countries for the first time. W may think too good but a little disappointed after checking in. The location of the hotel is not good. Breakfast is generally good for hotels in the United States. I also made up that the room facilities are really old doors and so on. We stayed here in 2014 and while it was fine back then, wow was this an improved experience! The property looks amazing and you can really tell how much effort is put into the upkeep, which I’m sure is not easy for a historic building. Also, the staff are amazing-everyone is genuinely welcoming and takes pride in what they do, and you can tell they genuinely enjoy interacting with customers. The food and service were on point and the hotel restaurant Mareva was so delicious we ate there twice for dinner, which we almost never do while on vacation because we want to try different places each night. The pool and beach set up were relaxing and luxurious (except the pool music was a bit too loud for my taste) and yoga classes by the pool were great with an experienced instructor. We will surely be back!

However, there were no bright lights of any kind so at times, it was rather difficult to oversee things like makeup application, clothing imperfections, etc. Also, our room didnt have very many mirrors. The bathroom door slides open and closed but does not close all of the way. Everything else was sooo nice and beautiful! The location is perfect as it is close to every thing and easy to find for uber and lyft! The GSA Sofia was absolutely amazing!!! She was so helpful and accommodating!!!!

We booked this hotel for 3 nights on Booking.com, where it was advertised as a 4 star hotel. The hotel itself is ok but it is definitely not 4 star. Location is pretty good and is close enough to walk to South Beach and Ocean Drive. The reception area is pleasant enough and the staff were ok (they were a little blunt but we found a lot of people on Miami Beach to be like that). Beware that they take a $100 deposit for the minibar in your room, which should be returned within 5 working days if you don't use it. We only checked out today so I'm hoping this will be the case. The pool was the smallest I've ever seen and always seemed to be in the shade (it's in a quadrangle within the hotel). We never went there and spent the days by the beach instead, which is only a few minutes walk away. The restaurant and bar area looks very nice, but in the 3 days we were there we didn't see one person in there. It was dead! The rooms were of a good size and the beds were comfy. The finish of the rooms wasn't great and definitely not what you'd see in a 4 star hotel, but everything worked just fine. There is a safe in the room but it is not secured to anything, which made it feel a little less safe! The bathroom was fine and had a decent shower. If you're looking for somewhere cheaper close to South Beach and you only plan on showering and sleeping there then I would recommend. However, if you want a 4 star hotel and plan on staying there all day to use the pool and bar/restaurant, I would probably avoid.

perfect location to walk to everywhere. pool & beach area are worth the price alone. poolside service & food was good. some rooms are updated and some are not. we had 2 rooms, one 2 bed updated room that was nice but the pipes made a noise every time the water was turned on. another king bed small suite that was not updated. I enjoyed this room as it had a walk in closet, kitchenette, separate sitting area & partial ocean view. the kitchenette could of had a microwave, would of made it better. overall great stay and would recommend and stay again!

My boyfriend, our dog and I just spent a week at the Mondrian. From the moment we arrived, the guys at the entrance gave us a very pleasant welcome and from then on all the staff. Those at the reception, those at the bar, those at the pool, those at the restaurant and the maids gave us an exceptional treatment, always friendly and with a sweet smile on their faces, we really felt at home and our pet did too. He received a lot of affection from all of them and was happy for the whole hotel. We highly recommend this hotel. Its location, its exquisite aroma, its wonderful and professional staff and its rooms and facilities always clean and in good condition exactly as you see them in the photos on the web. We really can't wait to go back. Thank you very much once again for making us feel so good.

Our experience was very bad. Check in took 30 minutes. We went to the beach to discover there was NO BEACH CHAIRS available. Just terrible. We had to lay on our towels in the sand.The front desk person was a trainee and did not have the correct knowledge of the rooms as she said one of our rooms had a partial beach view when in fact it had a front beach view. The other room she said had a partial view when in fact it had NO BEACH view. You had to go onto the terrace to see a sliver of water at the extreme left.

THIS LOCATION is so perfect some don’t realize it. That’s fine with me. I will always be able to book. When you come to the beach it’s for drinking and partying probably. This hotel is well located and affordably priced. We got amazing service from Marcela. There is a continental breakfast included and a little outdoor pool that my husband and 3yo son enjoyed. The poor area has many large iguanas living in it, which were interesting to see. There was a misunderstanding about room type. We booked through Jet Blue Vacations- the room we selected was ”Luxury Double-1 King Bed”... they should fix this as it's contradictory! We got downgraded from a city view to a wall view but we didn't spend much time in the hotel so it didn't matter. There was a questionable-looking bug in the first room we were assigned so Marcela moved us to the next. My biggest concern is that the hotel is rated 4-stars on several sights. It's definitely a solid 3-star: small, old, and pretty run down. We enjoyed it regardless.

Love this place but next time i will not go during summer as summer is way too hot to enjoy the walks you can do in m****illes. Amazing seafood and people are so much nice here compared to Paris. Stay by the Old Port, not further down as it becomes a little dodgy and a bit scary at night further down the old port stretch. You can walk to all the attractions or take a short bus ride everywhere.

Axel beach hotel was the best experience I could have asked for. We arrived early, and the hotel staff was immediately so welcoming. They allowed us to check in early and gave us great recommendations for things to do while in Miami. The atmosphere at axel beach hotel is so inclusive. I feel the need to contribute an honest and transparent review. I booked my stay at Greenview - WEEKS PRIOR to falling upon the Tripadvisor reviews for this hotel. I read these overwhelming reviews days before checking in and they had me scared that I was walking myself into a nightmare stay. I decided to make my own mind and stay anyway - and I am glad I did. Upon arrival on a Tuesday morning (10am), the check in staff member was VERY nice and immediately took my bags to hold. March is a busy month in South Beach, so I didn't expect to have a room that early so I planned to do work in the lobby or a coffee shop. This hotel is located right off the Lincoln road mall so I actually decided to post at one of the nearby Starbucks locations. By the time my work was finished it was 2pm and I walked back to the hotel to check on the status of an early check in - and to my surprised my room was ready. I was on second level, #204 - the check in staff ensured I was in a room away from the nearby construction. I held my breath as I walked into my room - and to my great surprise, it was great. The floors are wood, the AC unit was working (blowing cold) and looked fairly new. I don't like cold, so I turned my unit off and didn't need to turn it on the entire stay. The room was like the picture of 2 full beds, same colors on the wall (green/teal). It is a little dim at night - but there was plenty of light and light fixtures to turn on. There was a nice flat screen tv with cable channels. The window was nice and large with a black out blind and sheer curtains. The black out blinds actually caused me to sleep so well the first night I woke up late! The bed is very comfortable, I had plenty of clean linens and pillows. The room was spacious, there was a separate small walk in closet with plenty of shelving, and hanger space as well as a personal safe. The room had a desk, chair and a small fridge. Bathroom was adequate with a spacious step in shower. I had plenty of towels in the bathroom as well as back stocked in the closet. The amenities were premium. Overall the room was clean, spacious, comfortable and equipped. It did not smell - this was my greatest fear from these bad review - as I have an acute sense of smell. I did not have or see any bugs at any time during my stay. Actually, the cleaning staff were ALWAYS working. I woke very early on days to run and so I was in and out the room a lot and I witnessed the cleaning staff constantly cleaning & servicing neighboring rooms. Now was the room and hotel BRAND NEW AND PRISTINE?? There are scratches on the wood flooring, wall paint and furniture - but scratches isn't filth. The tiles in the bathroom aren't brand new - they look to be original to the old construction of the building...but again, cracks and not being new, doesn't mean it's filthy just older. If you are looking for a location i the middle of Miami, this hostel is the best. 5 mins walking to the Beach and 5 mins walking to the malls and restaurants. The place is very much packed with solo travelers, the price is good. Hot water all the time, AC in the rooms, very clean bathroom and rooms. The Kitchen is pretty small for the huge number of the guests. but clean and practical. Cameras are everywhere. They have a seating indoors and outdoors. I would come again, but maybe book a double room, instead of sharing, because of the number of the guests. No privacy at all. But other than that its very practical - 20mins away from the airport. I would add one important thing - which is the Language Barrier. Mainly they speak Spanish, so keep that in mind, and come prepared. Summary, the hostel was very practical and i would come again .

You can't beat the location - 12th and Collins, within walking distance of amazing restaurants and shopping, not to mention 1 block from the beach just around the corner. The staff was nice and friendly, and I was especially grateful for the stash of sunblock they had behind the desk (my stay was short so I was grateful to be able to borrow a bottle for the day). They also allow you to borrow beach towels. The hotel is no frills but clean with a very charming decor. In this COVID world there was some slight wear and tear, but nothing that would deter me from staying there again. I personally didn't go to Miami to sit around my hotel all day :). There's only 17 rooms or so across two floors and there is no elevator, so be sure to ask for the ground floor if you have an issue with stairs. Also, probably due to staff shortages, there was no one on site at the Impala. If you needed anything, you had to go next door to the Flora where the main desk was (e.g., extra coffee for the machine in the morning, check-in/check-out). But, like I said... we're still in COVID, plus it's a bit off-season. Not sure if it's like that year-round. I enjoyed myself - would stay again. Special shoutout to John and Carlos for their smiles and hospitality :).

Stayed at the kent hotel last month April and I definitely would recommend this comfy hotel. The service was amazing. They were able to accommodate us in very short notice. I must show recognition to Angel, he's very accommodative, and had great recommendations when we ask. A bigger thank you for recommending the perfect taxi driver who was so professional and actually spoke english 😀 . It really made my traveling easier. This hotel was beautiful, clean, a fun atmosphere, and in the perfect location. The restaurant was delicious. Staff was so helpful and always available. We had a suite and a regular room, and both were clean and well-stocked. The main pool and the glass-bottom rooftop pool were both amazing. I felt safe and in the middle of things, but I also got great rest. Can’t wait to visit Miami and The Gabriel again!

Beautiful sleek, elegant room in the Art Deco block, with a large balcony with sea view, separate little sitting area and bath in the bedroom. Lovely first impression to arrive there after a long flight, look at the sea and enjoy some of the bottle of champagne which had been left on ice as a welcome gift! The dishes on the breakfast buffet in Jaya were plentiful and would have been delicious but unfortunately stone cold which seemed a shame. We took a la carte after the first morning which was much better. Extremely loud music at dinner in Jaya meant we couldn’t have a conversation so had to move inside, which again was a shame, though by chance we had a good view of the live show which we hadn’t been expecting! You can walk for miles along a boardwalk just back from the beach.

This hotel is well located and affordably priced. We got amazing service from Marcela. There is a continental breakfast included and a little outdoor pool that my husband and 3yo son enjoyed. The poor area has many large iguanas living in it, which were interesting to see. There was a misunderstanding about room type. We booked through Jet Blue Vacations- the room we selected was ”Luxury Double-1 King Bed”... they should fix this as it's contradictory! We got downgraded from a city view to a wall view but we didn't spend much time in the hotel so it didn't matter. There was a questionable-looking bug in the first room we were assigned so Marcela moved us to the next. My biggest concern is that the hotel is rated 4-stars on several sights. It's definitely a solid 3-star: small, old, and pretty run down. We enjoyed it regardless.
