Mikasa Taikonoyu Natural Hot Spring Resort Hotel Taiko and Villa Hatago

A very nice hotel. There is a mall opposite the hotel with a supermarket and restaurants. There is a connecting passage inside the hotel to the natural hot spring next to it. Hotel guests can soak in the hot spring for free. Breakfast is 1,500 yen per person. The set meal is one portion per person. Other fruits, meat, bread, rice, vegetables and other foods are self-service.

The rooms in the villa were well-planned, functional, and clean. The shared hot spring was very spacious and the water quality was excellent. The customer service was good, but it's a shame that the inn doesn't seem to have the guests in mind. (Information signs were insufficient; morning baths start at 6:30.) The outdoor geopark walk at the nearby museum was interesting and educational. The breakfast was delicious, but the hearth dinner at this time of year is a no-no. The seasonal feel is completely off. There's no air conditioning in the dining room, so we ate while sweating! I hope that with a change in the management and awareness, the hotel's reputation will improve, as there are good ingredients available.
