This is a beautiful hotel and we had a great time. The hotel was nice a clean, had a nice garden, the restaurant was nice and the bar was open until late. We stayed on the 2nd floor and our room was nice and spacious, aircon was great, the mini bar was well stocked and the maid came everyday. Our view out the window was nice too, we could see the cobbled streets and the tram passing by, it kind of looked like a postcard. The restaurant was nice, staff was friendly and if you like traditional Italian food then you would enjoy it. The breakfast was also nice we went down every morning, it was the same thing everyday but that was ok because it was good food. Only thing is tho, there were no omelettes as standard, I think they could have made you one but you had to pay extra (€8) Let’s talk about the bar. The bar was amazing, not only was it open til late but the bar staff were very knowledgeable on anything drink related. There wasn’t a drink that the lovely Henry or Paulo couldn’t make you. Whilst I am on the Henry and Paulo subject, I’d like to take this opportunity to just say how amazing they are. They introduced themselves and asked our names and it was lovely service ever since. They made us feel welcome, kept the amazing drinks flowing, learnt early on what kind of drinks we liked and kept the drinks coming. The service from them two was absolutely outstanding and we would visit again just to see them. They are real assets to the hotel. Thank you. The hotel itself is not far away from the duomo. We just took the subway, it was 3 stops. Once you get to the duomo you can also do the bus tours, we did the 4 tours over 48 hours which was nice. We also did the canal cruise which wasn’t far from the hotel too. Immediately outside the hotel you can also hire bikes and scooters. You just have to download the app if you haven’t already and go. All in all the hotel was great, service was great, location was great and we love Henry.

Very nice locality, courteous & helpful staff, a few steps from the tram station &a minute walk to the metro station. Duomo is a 15 minute walk. Decent room size for Milan. Nice breakfast with a lot of choices. A very nice bar about 3-4 minutes walk from the hotel & good cafés, restaurants & pizzerias in a 10 minute walk radius

Everything went smoothly. The hotel staff were all good, but particularly Stephano at the front desk was EXCELLENT. Also, Max, one of the waitstaff in the Breakfast area was outstanding. He went beyond his regular duties for me each morning to slice my apple. I highly recommend Hotel D'Este in Milan. It is located in a nice part of town, relatively quiet and again the staff are very good. Catherine M. March, 2023

We were in Milan for a couple of days in August 22. This hotel is only one kilometre from the centre in Milan but it’s not in a great area. Positives. - The hotel in lovely inside and is built to a high specification. - The staff were all very friendly and could not have been more helpful throughout our stay. - the WiFi is absolutely brilliant. - You’re a 12 minute walk from Milan Cathedral Less positive - this doesn’t appear to be in a great area. It’s hard to find a bar or restaurant close by - There’s a lot of work being carried out in the roadway almost right outside so it appears to be like a building site. - It’s a busy hotel, so at checkout / checkin time it’s carnage. The foyer is pandemonium and littered with lots of cases and lots of Taxis etc piled up outside. Not a massive problem, but just one to be aware of. - Our room had a terrible view into a dirty apartment block

+ Everything was good. Good location and nice breakfast. Room had the kettle with coffe and tea, complimentary water, grissini snack, slippers and bathrobe. Good airconditioning and heating system. - The only drawback is the bad isolation because we could hear other people (couple) arguing which was unpleasant… also, room could be renovated, a bit old styled, and the internet could be better also :)
