The hotel is not big, with only ten rooms. The hotel is very warm and local, and the surrounding transportation is also very convenient. It is a good experience.

In the scenic area, the hotel service and hygiene are good. Breakfast is ordered and specially prepared for you.

The hotel is located in the center in a quiet alley. There is a construction site nearby. Accordingly, there is garbage and stench. The hotel is gloomy. The room is spacious, but dirty. The furniture is old. I hope at least there are no bedbugs. It is disgusting to go into the shower. Mold, dirt. The toilet has not been cleaned or disinfected for 100 years. I asked to clean it several times, but to no avail. They only promised. The breakfasts are very, very modest. A sandwich and a muffin. No eggs, no cheese, no vegetables or fruits... I will never set foot here again.

I would give this hotel 4.5 stars. Pros: The Staff at this hotel were very nice. . Great location.. room was spacious. Air conditioning was cold. Hotel very pretty . Cons: Roof top bar was so so.. views were ok but some landmarks are obstructed by the roofs so pictures weren’t great . The bed was way too firm for our liking which we are finding to be very common. They are doing construction so that presented some inconvenience. But overall lovely stay .

Stayed 1 night - avoid room 5 as when it rained the ceiling/roof leaked and water covered our open luggage. We used towels to help collect some of the water. In the morning the moisture/humidity attracted a nice variety of mosquitos so we immediately left the room for sightseeing and checked out soon after. Management’s solution was a discount off our next stay but no remedy for our current stay. A disappointing response. Front desk staff was lovely and did all they could- had a great dinner across the street. However sleeping conditions are bad if you experience rain during your stay.

This boutique hotel has only one standard room and one suite per floor, and 6 floors. We stayed in Suite #2. It was really spacious. The door opens to a small lounge with a pantry, with espresso coffee maker, hot pot and minibar. The bathroom is all marble and mirrors, but it seems the glass doors of the small shower were placed by an unexperienced handyman. The bedroom has a chimney, an old wardrobe cabinet, a couch, a table with 2 acrilyc chairs, a tailor’s mannequin and a very soft and bumpy king size bed. The center of the mattress was much higher than the sides, making a hill with slopes we were afraid to roll out. But on the per hand, the room had a nice parquet floor and many lights! The windows had shutters, but I wished the wood panels could be locked in place and had muslin curtains to open the windows with privacy. During the months of July and August, there is no laundry service. The bathroom has a light that turns on with a movement sensor and can't be turned off. Cover the sensor with something if you wish to avoid being nightlighted.

My brother, his wife, my wife and I stayed at the Santa Marta while sightseeing in Milan. It is a wonderful small hotel with spacious comfortable rooms. The location is within walking distance of the primary sightseeing spots. We had several non-hotel issues, such as lost baggage, Niousha, was managing the hotel desk when we needed urgent assistance. She helped us resolve several issues, all to successful conclusions. She made our stay at the hotel memorable.

A beautiful boutique hotel located within walking distance of el Duomo and other sites. The rooms are comfortable and small well appointed. The staff is lovely, very accommodating. The restaurant next door where we had breakfast, which was included, was excellent. A nice assortment of healthy breakfast options. We also enjoyed sipping wine in the rooftop and taking in the views.
Response from Property: Dear Guest, thanks for your review about Santa Marta Suites. We are lad that your stay was good and you appreciated the Hotel. We hope to see you again as our kindly Guests. Roberta

We cannot recommend this hotel, very disappointing. Terrible beds. Room 5, 1 side of the mattress was broken/totally sunk in & not usable. Room 4, deep depressions both sides of the bed. Had to ask for toilet paper, fresh towels. The elevator broke. We were stuck between floors for 20 minutes, the alarm bell was not heard at the front desk. Had to call from our cell phone. Fortunately the woman at the desk was able to get us out or we would have had to wait 30 minutes longer for someone to come fix it. Positive note, The ladies at the front desk are lovely & location is good. Breakfast is included & was ok. If you stay here, make sure you get the key with the white card to activate the electricity in the room, not every key ring for the room has the card attached.

There are only 10 rooms in the hotel - a room and a suite on each floor - we had a suite on Level 3. I chose this hotel as I wanted to feel like I was in Italy, not in a modern hotel that could be anywhere and this certainly fit the bill. Our suite was very spacious - with an entry area and a large bathroom off that and then the bedroom which is at the front of the hotel. It's rather sparsely furnished but what is in there is just lovely. The breakfasts are fantastic and all done a la carte. The breakfasts are actually done in the adjoining restaurant (but there's a door through from the hotel) and we found the staff very accommodating to what we wanted to order - even for my gluten-free requirements. The location is perfect for exploring the key sites of Milan inc. the Duomo and also close to restaurants and bars. There is a rooftop area but to be honest it wasn't that great and we didn't use it. Apparently the restaurant uses it in the evening and charges 20 Euro for a drink and snack there - except on a Sunday when they don't operate so using the terrace is free. But we much preferred to be out in the many cafes nearby rather than the rooftop! It was very clean and the room had a very comfortable bed! The hotel has limited amenities being very small but overall I think it was fantastic value for money and we'd stay here again.

The suite was very spacious and there was a feeling of space in this old restored building. Each floor only has one room and one suite so it is not a big hotel. There is limited amenities in the rooms so that could be improved but overall we thought the room was comfortable, quiet and impeccably clean. Breakfasts were included in the stay and they were plentiful and very tasty. The staff were delightful and very friendly. Highly recommended.

Meh Tiny bathroom, soft mattress and limited views. Okay location. But don’t like the rooms being next to elevator shaft. No external views. Bathroom very tiny with even smaller shower stall. Very claustrophobic.

You couldn’t pay me to stay here again. I recently went to Milan from the states. Before booking, we double checked the hotel had AC as Europe can be sweltering in the summer. The hotel stated it had AC. The pictures looked great and the reviews seemed reliable. That was not the case. First, the AC wasn’t functional. We later discovered via reviews on other websites that the hotel has a history of AC issues. The hotel does have AC but it is central air that the front desk either refuses to turn on or cannot. We stayed in Room 4, which is on the fourth floor. In the August heat, we couldn’t sleep. Second, the electricity didn’t work! We discovered this before the ac problems emerged since most of the lights wouldn’t turn on. We contacted the front desk and they acknowledged it was an issue. Why didn’t they tell us up front? Eventually, they rigged a solution for us. We figured that would clear the AC issue up and were in a hurry to go to dinner. When we got back from dinner, the electrical solution did not fix the AC and the front desk didn’t respond to us or ******* who we booked through. Third, the hotel is a bit of a dump. It looks all right until you notice your towels have holes in them and pretty much everything is worn. The hotel needs a makeover. It would be OK if the AC and electricity worked. I probably wouldn’t be here writing a review, to be honest. We booked for two nights. However, after the first sleepless night, we decided we had enough and switched hotels. We have asked the hotel repeatedly for a refund for the night we did not stay but they refuse to honor that request. ******* is now begging them for one night to be refunded. The hotel refuses theme, too. Scammy low-class management.
